Rep. Grayson calls Cheney a vampire

Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Florida, attracted attention for a tirade in the House against the GOP's health care plan.

Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Florida, attracted attention for a tirade in the House against the GOP's health care plan.

NEW YORK (CNN)– Controversial freshman Rep. Alan Grayson, who has become famous for attacking the Republicans' health care plan, went on the attack again Friday night, calling former Vice President Dick Cheney a vampire for his recent criticism of the Obama administration's handling of the war in Afghanistan.

"I have trouble listening to what [Cheney] says sometimes because of the blood that drips from his teeth while he's talking," the Florida Democrat said on MSNBC's Hardball Friday night. "But my response is this: he's just angry because the president doesn't shoot old men in the face. But by the way, when he was done speaking, did he just then turn into a bat and fly away?"

In a hard-hitting, wide-ranging speech last Wednesday, Cheney targeted the administration's decision-making process on how to proceed in Afghanistan, saying Obama has failed to give troops on the ground a clear mission or defined goals and appeared "afraid to make a decision."

"The White House must stop dithering while America's armed forces are in danger," Cheney said at the Center for Security Policy. "Make no mistake, signals of indecision out of Washington hurt our allies and embolden our adversaries."

In responding to Cheney's attack, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs on Thursday got in a jab of his own.

"What Vice President Cheney calls 'dithering,' President Obama calls his solemn responsibility to the men and women in uniform and to the American public," Gibbs said. "I think we've all seen what happens when someone doesn't take that responsibility seriously."

Grayson, a successful trial lawyer turned Congressman, shot to national fame - and notoriety - last month, when he took to the floor of the House of Representatives and dramatically described the GOP health care plan as: "Don't get sick, and if you do get sick, die quickly." He refused to apologize; Republicans say they'll mount a stiff challenge against him in his conservative-leaning district in 2010, but so far no one has come forward.

V-P Biden and Rep. Grayson are honest straight-shooters who occasionally shoots themselves on the foot (ouch!), but they hit the target with their remarks on Cheney. Who really cares what Cheney thinks? Only the good folks at FOX and all the extreme right-wing nuts of this world! Cheney has done more damage to the reputation and safety of the USA and Americans around the world than anyone in recent memory. Enough of this man.

At last – a strong voice to counter the Republican attack machine. Keep it up Representative Grayson. I wish that we has a strong voice like that here is South Carolina – the land of Joe Wilson, Jim Demint, and Mark Sanford

It was my hop;e that congressional representatives would be thoughtful, reasoned thinkers. It is a tragedy that our country will go down because we are represented by individuals babbling utter nonsense.

Cheney knows that his appeal is to the dumbest of the dumb of Americans, the ones who adore Sarah McCalin.

He won't live too many more years and then he will be goooone.

Someone on the Demo side need to talk the way the Repugs talk. That is the only thing the Repugs understand. They can not stand the heat when someone beat them at their own game. Keep pushing it to the Replugs Rep Grayson.

I believe it's time that the American people understant what Dick Cheney is really all about. Back in the 90's, a number of Cheney's cronies formed a neo-con oranizationed called "Project for a New American Century" (PNAC).

If you will look at PNAC's website, you will understand exactly what Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney, William Kristol, John Bolton, and Co. are really all about: U.S. MILITARY IMPERIALISM.

Finally a dem that has the courage and ability to counter the batcrap crazies on the other side of the aisle.
While Pres. Obama uses intellectual finess to "call out" the likes of FOX "news", Rep. Grayson uses the hyperbolic language that the right-wing nut jobs like Bachmann and tea baggers like Cantor can understand.

As for Cheney, he's a loser and war criminal who should be tried for treason not quoted in the press as if what he had to say was even relevant or remotely true. Hey MSM – Why do you even print or televise what this sicko and his family members have to say? They are not news, the are subversive "noise"....

While Alan Grayson sees Cheney as a vampire, I see Cheney more as a Sith Lord. Anyone who is familiar with the Star Wars saga can see the uncanny resemblence between Dick Cheney and Chancellor/Emperor Palpatine.

This guy is only about garnering attention for himself. He brings nothing constructive to the health care debate. If he did, he wouldn't be appearing on MSLSD with Keith Overbite and his little brother Rachel Madcow.

Blood of 4300 US Troops dripping from his Teeth.

Cheney should be put to Trial for Mass Murder.

Less not forget, Obama has a spine, he gave the orders to take out the pirates holding an American captain. 3 fatal shots.

Obama is doing right by taking his time for war. He will have even more blood on his hands. What a terrible choice to make. My thoughts are with you Mr. Obama.
