The Democratic National Committee is taking fresh aim at Sarah Palin.

(CNN) - The Democratic National Committee is taking fresh aim at Sarah Palin, encouraging supporters to attack the former Alaska governor on Facebook in order to "debunk her lies."

In an e-mail to supporters, and on a new Web site, the DNC asks supporters to call out Palin when she uses Facebook to transmit what the committee says are falsehoods.

"The more we push back with the truth, the more Sarah Palin and others like her will have to think twice before they promote lies, and the less they'll be able to derail progress," DNC executive director Jen O'Malley Dillon wrote in the e-email.

Palin is the latest high-profile Republican to be targeted by the DNC in a campaign they've labeled "call 'em out." Other Republicans in the DNC's cross-hairs have included House Minority Leader John Boehner, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.

That is way too punky for the DNC to direct it's followers to 'attack' Palin's site. I rarely agree with her but would not take steps as the DNC feels it should and I feel it is just downright wrong for anyone to target someone just because the message isn't the one you want.......there is a 'free' speech issue going on here.

Nguyen   October 29th, 2009 2:55 pm ET

Sad is lies are taking over the First Amendment . Some lies totally insulted the intelligence of the readers/audiences. More sad is there are enough people out there who believe in them and support them into a profitable business .

Jim   October 29th, 2009 2:42 pm ET

the thing is, so much of what the republicans have been spouting are untruths, half-truths, distortions and flat out lies. I see very very few actual facts used by them and a great deal of arguments that go "if you do/don't do this, then that very bad thing will happen".

all they'd have to do to win major support is to just use actual facts.

i guess the republicans don't have any facts to use.

felicia   October 29th, 2009 2:41 pm ET

Why is sara palin posing with AA's, what a phony she probably have never been that close too a AA. I'm sick and disgusted by the picture she is pure fakeness.

California Democrat   October 29th, 2009 2:34 pm ET

The destructive garbage that comes out of that woman's mouth is unbelievable!

Jobless Recovery   October 29th, 2009 2:30 pm ET

Why is the left so scared of Palin? She believes in LESS federal government, more states rights, less taxes...and more freedom. How is that so bad?

KR   October 29th, 2009 2:23 pm ET

Everyone should realize that a ghostwriter writes for her facebook and if you do not believe read for yourself, this woman even with a history of 5 colleges could not write and be so articulate. I want to see the day when she quits hiding behind the facebook, and has to create her own speeches. President qualified; you people that support Palin are delusional. I want to see the day when she has to meet the media face on face with debates.

Jake   October 29th, 2009 2:20 pm ET

I cannot wait to hear what else Levi Johnston has on her!

Wake Up   October 29th, 2009 2:19 pm ET

So people work hard, get masters degrees...law degrees...pay hundreds of thousands in schooling then government will punish them to redistribute wealth? Maybe if liberal losers finished school, didn't get pregnant at 17, and worked hard they wouldn't need govt handouts. I'm so sick of the lazy and unwilling.

Jazz   October 29th, 2009 2:19 pm ET

Wow and democrats just moaned when they thought Bush was eroding our freedoms, the DNC and Obama are both going after free speech and people with different views them, stupid commi pinkos are such hypocrites.

Reagan was wrong   October 29th, 2009 2:12 pm ET

Palin, Bachmann, etc. are people who habitually try to pass off their wild brainfarts as facts. For example:

"Pallin' around with terrorists"
"Death panels"
"Re-education camps"

What the DNC is doing is exposing this crap as the blatant lies they are.

Michael   October 29th, 2009 2:12 pm ET

Finally we Liberals are not playing the "ignore it- it will go away" game anymore. Sometimes you have to fight FIRE with Fire-as we have been doing to the baggers and birthers. No more Mr. Nice guy!

A wised up Democrat who is now an Independant   October 29th, 2009 2:12 pm ET

I've never found her to tell anything but the truth. IT'S OBAMA WHO'S SITTING ON A KEG OF LIES THAT'LL WILL SOONER THAN LATER BLOW UP ON HIM. ELEVEN MONTHS HAVE PASSED AND NONE OF HIS CHANGE HAS TAKEN PLACE. In fact nothing has he done. His followerers are blind mice and chicken little's.

marty   October 29th, 2009 2:10 pm ET

All you democrats must be really, REALLY scared of this woman to spend this much anger on her. She must really, REALLY terrify you. GOOD!!! You should be afraid, VERY AFRAID.

sandy   October 29th, 2009 2:10 pm ET

I and members of my family have been calling out Palin and her supports since she went live on facebook. It is fun and I feel I am doing my part for the country. Nothing but lies from her and loons that follow her.

John   October 29th, 2009 2:10 pm ET

Boy, she sure does get under the thin skin of liberals. Obama has the thinnest skin, he is the first translucent president we have ever had.

Irma in North Carolina   October 29th, 2009 2:09 pm ET

Every thing that Sarah says you all know that she has some one else write the words and then puts her name one it. Probably some one fox news is writing the words for her and we all know what fox news a bunch of lies. When the 20 percent of the republicans get her in the white house the fox news gang will be her cabinet members. But it is a good thing some one is calling her on the lies. Wonder how come her book is going for such a low price now. That ought to tell you something right there. Wait till Levi tells the whole story about her.

Laverne   October 29th, 2009 2:08 pm ET

We can use Levi Johnston to put Mrs. Palin in her place. She is now rethinking her talking points when she goes on the Oprah show because Levi "knows stuff, ooh". I think Levi is a creep, but I think Sarah Palin is creepier!

Liar-Liar-PantsOnFire!   October 29th, 2009 2:03 pm ET

This woman has no conscience. Period. She promotes herself as a Christian and everything she does, every word that comes out of her mouth is hateful, lying and causes division. Lying is an abomination to God, Sarah! And it is written "Blessed are the PEACE MAKERS". She is not a peach maker – she is a divider.

Doug, New Jersey   October 29th, 2009 2:02 pm ET

Isn't it funny how Democrats lie when they state that republican has lied?

Sorry, lying is a Democrat niche, they get high from lying, it is just the type of people they are. Even when they are caught in a lie (Rather for example), the Democrat media and every Democrat voter just goes on as if the lie were the truth, such cold heartless beings are incapable of feeling remorse.

The Party of No = The Party of Nobody   October 29th, 2009 2:02 pm ET

Ok, that does it . . . .I'm going to have to join Facebook just so I can call this liar out!

Michelle   October 29th, 2009 1:58 pm ET

I tried to call her out on her FACEBOOK page, and got "defriended." I am not longer able to comment on her precious page because I don't worship at the altar of Sarah. And she acts EXACTLY like a politician, except she is one without the courage to go on TV and state her beliefs. She hides behind her page, and refuses to be interviewed. I can hardly wait until she makes the rounds of the news shows to hawk her book...oh, wait, she won't. She'll only do Fox, won't she? She wouldn't dare talk to a real newsperson who might ask her something about this amazing book that she didn't write...or better, ask her to READ a section for us. Ha. Palin better get her dirty money while she can...her light is fading fast.

Andi   October 29th, 2009 1:55 pm ET

Yikes. People love believing lies when they validate their own hatred, don't they.

Putting aside the name-calling and other nasty stuff, people should seriously think about what this woman means to the political process.

I shudder to think how many people in the US are so shallow that they support this type of person to lead our Nation. However, it is part of the democratic process, and if she is chosen as the GOP candidate, so be it. We'll have to wait and see, I suppose.

LacrosseMom   October 29th, 2009 1:54 pm ET

We ALL need to CALL OUT EVERY GOP LIE! What's really scary are the numbers of gullible, uninformed people.

The GOP loves to fear monger and lie. They have no new ideas, no solutions to the BUSH DISASTER.

Last poll of Americans, done by the Gallup people showed that the 7 out of TEN ....... Americans, believe that Palin IS NOT qualified to be president!

52% of Americans do not know WHO the leader of the GOP is!

And ONLY 21% of Americans identify themselves are Republicans!

Its disgusting how the GOP's strategy is to LIE, often!

GOP= hate, lies, fear and division!

Mike Hance   October 29th, 2009 1:53 pm ET

What has happened to the Democratic Party?
I was raised Democrat but have vote for all three parties usually picking the lesser of evils. Today, JFK who I admire would be too conservative for the Republicans let alone the Democrats. Ms. Palin poses some good questions that we should demand an answer to. We need to get away from this two party system of clueless crooks that could care less about the middle class.

sean   October 29th, 2009 1:53 pm ET

It would seem to be a battle of diminishing returns- Palin seems incapable of telling the truth ("Bridge to nowhere", "Death Panels", etc.)and her activities are actively sinking the Republican Party- approval ratings prove that. As if that isn't enough she is selling a book as hers that she didn't write (some right-wing "christian" sniper did that for her), and her white trash war of words continues with her near son-in-law.

The reality is though, Republicans have been emboldened by her ability to spew and not get caught- hence their increasing levels of un-real statements. Push back, and push back hard- these anti-patriots must be stopped, and show for what they really are.

Wake Up   October 29th, 2009 1:48 pm ET

Dems-we are going to call all of you out in 2010. In fact, you weak left repubs...we are coming for you. No more bailouts. No more spending. No more!! Obama, you have created a firestorm. You will be voted out oin 2012, as long as the repubs field a conservative candidate.

SammyD   October 29th, 2009 1:48 pm ET

The DNC is sure scared of Palin, it's pretty funny to watch. Unfortuantely it's not very productive attacking an American citizen who is just stating her opinion. BTW what lies are you talking about?

New Yorker   October 29th, 2009 1:45 pm ET

What a joke. The DNC World Champion Deceivers asking people to join them in debunking the truth.

annie s   October 29th, 2009 1:43 pm ET

Excellent idea. The fanatics like Ms. Palin have owned the argument for too long – it is time to shout them down with truth!

MikQuick   October 29th, 2009 1:43 pm ET

I would say just ignore her – but history has shown that in this country, simply ignoring a stupid idea or person doesen't work. There are too many nuts out there (like the 3 of 10 that feel she would be qualified to be president) that only believe what their party tells them and do not seek out the truth. Facts, facts, facts man – that is the way to beat down the likes of Mrs P. Our news should be more concerned about reporting facts and fact checking instead of sensationalizing someone's opinion because they are in the midst of their 15 minutes of fame. The fight for ratings that generate income by selling advertising works against the idea of checking facts – ahh capitalism at its finest.

franco   October 29th, 2009 1:43 pm ET

There are enough lies in both parties. If their lips are moving, they are lying!

shmeckel   October 29th, 2009 1:42 pm ET

I can’t believe that the dnc is dumb enough to spend money fighting this woman. Most republicans don’t even like her. You are throwing away good money. Is the dnc really scared of this woman; you must be kidding me.

Chris - MN   October 29th, 2009 1:42 pm ET

Refuting high-profile liars seems appropriate to me.

Tony   October 29th, 2009 1:35 pm ET

Palin is just a Republican pawn....even most Republicans (the ones with half a brain) don't like her. She's laughable and she keeps herself and her whacked out family in the news to sway viewers from the real issues facing our world today. She's a good little patsy!

Marie Laveaux   October 29th, 2009 1:34 pm ET

I dont't think the woman is worth all of this attention. Only her simple-minded followers believe what she says, and the RNC is probably never going to let her get nominated. She's beginning to remind me of David Duke the Republican KKK member from Louisiana who ran for every offfice you can think of. He kept up a constant barrage of controversy which kept his bankroll fat for years.

Peggy   October 29th, 2009 1:34 pm ET

Are her lips moving???????????? Well, then, she's LYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! End of story.

Bob in Pa   October 29th, 2009 1:34 pm ET

The government is broke and Obama and the statists in the Congress continue to spend more money than we have, or ever will have, in a manner that would make even Big Spending George Bush blush.

What about this is a "lie?"

You don’t have to push back too hard against Palin.

Just give her all of the rope she needs and she will -always- hang herself in the press...

pattyo   October 29th, 2009 1:30 pm ET

How could any clear thinking American think for one New York minute that this woman is even remotely qualified to hold public office, much less President or Vice President. She is all frosting and no cake. Picture her sitting down at a summit meeting with world leaders. If that doesn't give you chills you are brain dead.

ann   October 29th, 2009 1:30 pm ET

you people are so scared of her and Fox news. What a hoot! The administration and the peope who are so afraid of both are the best sales people for both. I went to Fox news out of curiosity when the White house people started badmouthing them and guess what...I'm hooked. They tell it like it is. Go Fox and go Sarah and expose these people for what they are.

Dominican mama 4 Obama   October 29th, 2009 1:24 pm ET

The liars of the century acuse her of lieing? Wow they are making fools of themselves spending like idiots raking up huge debt on Americas credit card.Whats she lieing about DNC?The facts like your doubling the debt, printing new cash at 120%(Carter printed 13%,to pull that back intrest rates hit 20%).Telling you to drill for energy instead of sending billions to Brazil so they can.Telling you by not drilling your missing trillions in future tax revenues economic growth and high paying American jobs.Telling you to slay the death tax kill capital gains, reduce payroll taxes, let people keep more of their monney.Telling you borrowing trillions isnt a smart move.Telling you borrowing, spending and printing, will as usual cause massive inflation.Telling you to use free market HC solutions to bring down costs like tort reform interstate purchasing instead of spending trillions creating another gov program that will go bankrupt.Gee I guess all these lies are causing the DNC alot of fear no wonder because we know whos lieing out here, and its not her.

Ann   October 29th, 2009 1:23 pm ET

Maybe Palin is a liar but DNC has become a joke. What is their problem? Are they really afraid of this woman?

Greg, MN   October 29th, 2009 1:23 pm ET

The DNC should start by debunking Obama, Reid, and Pelosi lies. Then they may give their party some credibility.

No wonder the Rueters poll released yesterday revealed more Americans identify themselves as conservative rather than liberal.

JR   October 29th, 2009 1:22 pm ET

why do some folks keep asking if opponents of Pailin are "threatened by her?" I don't think that anyone feels threatened by her. I think that the right word is "disinterested." That horse has already left the gate.

I think the parties need to focus on themselves. Momma always said when someone attacks you it's because they have something to hide. Sarah Palin is not even running for office! WHY ARE LIBS SO THREATENED BY HER. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT KEEP HER IN THE SPOTLIGHT. I am glad though, because it brings out there true colors. Anyway....What exactly are the lies she is telling, with proof. All I see is a bunch of name calling.

John from California   October 29th, 2009 1:08 pm ET

Sarah Palin is working the republican conservative fringe talk show circuit including FOX News (FIXED NEWS) and will say whatever gets her another audience.

If any objective observation were done on that excuse for a politician and job quitter, the real truth about Sarah Palin would look pretty terrible.

Phat Elvis   October 29th, 2009 1:07 pm ET

I actually like that Obama and the Democratic Party are fighting back. years ago, looked like wimps because they always 'took the high road' and refused to punch back at attacks. now that they are hitting back hard the Repubs are starting to cry. its not so easy when your victim fights back is it, you conservative wannies?

Debbie - Ohio   October 29th, 2009 1:06 pm ET

FOX NEWS while bragging about their ratings should understand that so many of us watch because we like a good train wreck.
It's gratifying to observe the daily self-destruction of Palin, Beck, Rush, and the GOP – and there's no better place to pick thru all the lies than where they are most concentrated – FAUX NEWS – a smorgasbord of slime in the guise of news.

Ted Tartaglia   October 29th, 2009 12:57 pm ET

Palin seems to have an aversion to the truth. She needs to be called out when she lies.

Her response will be to play the victim card like she always does. I believe in Harry Truman's adage: "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Truth is, DNC cannot site any "lies", unless they first distort the truth themselves. Look out 2012.....regardless of what one thinks of SP....Obama is creating his own "One-Term" presidency......I love it when he keeps in step with the Liberal Left (who is the minority running the show anyway)

david, CA   October 29th, 2009 12:50 pm ET

while the DNC is at it, they need to back up the White House in calling out FOX NEWS for who they are and what they do – a GOP propaganda operation attempting a political coup d'etat through the use of a systematic scorched-earth informational warfare campaign. These FOX folk understand the concept of Total War and are quickly approaching a DEFCON 1 mentality where they OPENLY advocate armed revolt. Glen Beck et al are precariously close to convincing the armed crazies that it's time to activate their militia.

Jen   October 29th, 2009 12:41 pm ET

I think one reason why so many do not like Palin and want to call her out on her lies and not someone elses.. is..

She makes herself out to be "better" than everyone. She wants to "preach" to everyone. She wants to call Johnston out on what he is doing.. she wants to call our her Brother in law and get him fired because of that. She is out there proclaiming from the rooftops on how CHRISTIAN she is. How Down home and common she is.

But all she does is LIE. All she does is do the same things she accuses many others of doing. She is not Common! I wouldnt try and get a family member fired just because of a personal conflict. She cant accuse Johnston of anything she is also Guilty of doing herself.

That is why she is disliked so.. She put herself out there as a Higher than Thou person.. yet she is not a very good example and that is putting it nicely of a person to hold that type of title.

lasvegasrose   October 29th, 2009 12:40 pm ET

Palin, Beck, and Rush, etc. don't worship at the altar of God; they worship at the altar of the almighty dollar. False idols, false preachers, leading their flocks astray. Okay, Okay, Okay I'm ecstatic, I really am!!! This type of response from the Democrats has been soooo long overdue. The Democrats used the truth against Palin/McCain to win the presidential election. The truth worked then, and it will work now. It is the most powerful tool against any opponent. Especially people like Palin who insist on treating the important business of running a country as if tshe were competing in some two-bit, transient, inconsequential beauty pageant.

Welcome to the real world Sarah, your free ride is almost over.

What about the biggest lie from Obama? I thought I could keep my current health plan. This bill specifically legislates that my plan will have to change to meet standards set by the government. The only thing I get to keep is the company offering the plan.

ThinkAgain   October 29th, 2009 12:34 pm ET

Sarah Palin and her followers are the biggest argument I’ve ever seen for studying hard and going to college. The more educated you are, the more easily you can see through Palin's (and Beck's and Hannity's and Limbaugh's and O'Reilly's ...) lies.

david, CA   October 29th, 2009 12:33 pm ET

To characterize the act of challenging falsehoods as "attacking" as CNN does in this story misses the mark. The "attack" is coming from those who spread the lies. Those attempting to debunk lies would be "defending" the truth. Not attacking.

ThinkAgain   October 29th, 2009 12:32 pm ET

The GOP has devolved into the whiny, self-cenetered, self-righteous, lying clique we all detested in high school.

Palin and her pals never take responsibility, shoot off their mouths and gloat about how "rogue" they are, when in fact, they're intellectual lightweights who not only can't remember what newspapers they read, they can't handle any real stress in their lives. (How else do you explain her quitting in the middle of her term as governor?)

What an accomplishment for the party of Lincoln! So pathetic!

Barbara Independent in NY   October 29th, 2009 12:31 pm ET

Don't waste time and energy calling this person out. For some unexplained reason lying seems to be spouted easily by a huge segment of those with conservative views. They seem to think that because they say it, it must be true and the rest of us will believe them. I don't think that Palin is capable of recognizing or speaking the truth(or even a coherent sentence for that matter). The Right knows that she lies and they don't care.

Bonnie in Seattle   October 29th, 2009 12:29 pm ET

Expat American   October 29th, 2009 12:27 pm ET

Palin supporters are reduced to catchy yet childish one-liners to defend their queen. First and foremost, she'll never be President. This being said, now for a fleeting moment, let’s turn it around. Let’s create an opposite scenario.

Imagine a politician who claimed that a ‘Real America’ did not include the republican conservative uneducated poor white trash? Imagine a politician who called these ‘Country First Patriots’ the enemy, and not ‘one of us’? You see, in the United States, even the republican conservative uneducated poor white trash are considered Americans; even if the opposite, according to Palin are not.

"And, you know CNN will not do that as they are in the party of
NOthings back pocket."

I beg to differ. They are in the business of making money. Their money comes from ad revenue. The amount they can charge for their air time or space on their website has a direct relationship to viewership and the numbers reported by click counters. You know what increases viewership and clicks? CONTROVERSY. The "news" media would hype an argument over whether water is wet in order to increase ad revenues...and that's the truth. Sure, some are quite obviously corrupted and biased, like Faux, but with others, like CNN, it's a far more insidious infection that has obliterated their sense of journalistic integrity.

Bananarama Victim II: Electric Boogaloo   October 29th, 2009 12:23 pm ET

Why is it every time Palin's mentioned the cry-baby conservatives ask open-ended questions of liberals concerning supposed infatuation or fear of said woman?

Mainly Democrats and liberals in general just have a hard time believing that anyone would put their eggs into that basket. And that's saying a lot after you elected Bush twice...

The way that Republicans will back the least intelligent candidates is weird, but seeing as how you like watching cars drive around in circles for hours, nothing is too far a stretch.

Greg   October 29th, 2009 12:22 pm ET

What I find particularly interesting is Ms. Palin's choice to hide on facebook and lob political grenades safely immune to follow-up questions. There is no debate, there is no discourse, there is only her position being put out there. Those that believe in her have no need to comment but those who do not believe, cannot ask for clarification.

In her view she is operating from a position of safety. Others might call it cowardice.

Oh yeah, lots of change   October 29th, 2009 12:22 pm ET

Why does the DNC hate her so much?

Grahame   October 29th, 2009 12:21 pm ET

With regard to the infamous 'death panels' remark. It's not the legislation you morons, it's the insurance companies. Palin and the rest of the GOP cleverly use misdirection techniques to fool the gullable miscreants who swallow her excrement hook line and sinker.
Her supporters are always spouting off about her family values. Just step back for a moment and consider what she does with anybody who disagrees with her. She slanders them by using flagrant lies using the time honored method, namely "If you tell a lie that's big enough then people will start to believe some of it." Yes! the DNC should finally really go after her and her ilk. It's not that Sarah Palin in herself that is dangerous, it's the mindless lemmings who believe her and want to follow her over the cliff.

Pam   October 29th, 2009 12:20 pm ET

I don't think it is necessary to call out on her statements.
When people see her name, they know that what comes out of her mouth is un-intelligent gibbrish!

Why do you delusional republicans keep saying we are afraid of Palin.......NO way are we afraid of her.......she will never make it past the Republican primary's......haven't you been reading the news......not even your own party support her......they don't even ask her to come and campaign for them.........just because 57% of the far right wing conservatives support her (that's not hardly the majority of your party) it's going to take a lot more than that to elect her as the next President .......because the other 43% of your party and 100% of the Democratic party and 48% of the independents don't want her.......so we ain't AFRAID of Palin the LIER and QUITTER.

Cruzan Obama Mama   October 29th, 2009 12:19 pm ET

You are blindly supporting a person that could care less about you.....ask the people of her beloved Alaska. Think about it.

I get emails from the DNC and the DCCC trying to sell us on the idea that Sarah Palin, House Minority Leader John Boehner, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann are the ones who are blocking real change.

Sorry DNC and DCCC, but the people who make up your base are not the same as the lemmings who hate and fear whomever and whatever the RNC, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh tell them to hate and fear.

We know that the real obstacles to change are in the Democratic Party, including Sen Blanche Lincoln (D-Arkansas), Sen Evan Bayh (D-Indiana), Rep. Mike Ross (D-Arkansas), and several members of the Obama administration.

The Republicans are not a threat and only will return to power after 2010 because you all failed to rein in members of the Democratic Caucus in the House and Senate who call themselves Democrats, though they are not.

beevee   October 29th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

David   October 29th, 2009 12:12 pm ET

If the DNC wants to call out Liars, there are plenty in the white house. Rahmbo and his short memory regarding Afghanistan, Obama and ACORN, for starters. Tim Geithner and his tax problems. The white house is loaded with Liars and they are bankrupting this country. So come on DNC you demand the truth, start at the top, the list will never end. While you're at it don't forget about Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.

A.B.   October 29th, 2009 12:08 pm ET

Let's face facts!! Sarah Palin is not a serious 2012 presidential candidate. If the some members of the Republican Party leadership think that she is a viable candidate and she becomes the face of the Republican Party, then the party is really in deep trouble. This woman is clearly not fit for any public office let alone the U.S. Presidency. I don't know what she is trying to do by showing up at political events or even showing up on talk shows. If she thinks that she can repair her damaged credibility and change public opinion about her fitness for public office, I think that what she is doing so far is not working and will not work. Sarah Palin will be no more successful in changing the public's first impression of her than Dan Quayle was in changing the public's first impression of him.

Thanks GOPs!   October 29th, 2009 12:08 pm ET

Hee hee, now there's full-time work!

Thanks GOPs for keeping Sarah Palin alive - talk about 2012 insurance. We Dems appreciate it.

Dan Holiday   October 29th, 2009 12:07 pm ET

Why is it that the liberals are so infatuated with Sarah Palin? You guys cannot stop talking about her. It is actually pretty creepy how obsessed you all are. The funnier thing is, how many of you talk of tolerance and acceptance, and also how hate needs to be abolished, then in the same sentence call her names and spew your hate and intolerance for anything but your ideas and ways. I wish you could step back and see the ways you act toward her. Calling her sexist names and such. It is truly pathetic. What a bunch of sad people you all are. Not to worry though. In one year the Congress will revert back to the GOP and two years from then that ridiculous joke of a man, Obama, will be looking for a new job. Maybe ACORN will hire him back...lol.

Chibeardan   October 29th, 2009 11:46 am ET

Too bad one has to rely on regular people to call out a public person's lies.

CNN was really good at factchecking SNL. Why not factcheck someone like Sarah Palin, who could end up running for President?

bmw   October 29th, 2009 11:45 am ET

Good. The lies and divisiveness by prominent Republicans are ruining America, especially with the help of megaphones like Fox "news". Democrats have tried to peacefully speak the truth, but it's beginning to look like a stronger response is needed.

The thing is that Palin just doesn't understand much of what is going on. Yes she is pretty, gives a good speach if someone else writes it. She just doesn't care what the truth is, she just wants to make a name for herself. If she were ever to become president, GW Bush would have to give up his place as the worst president in history.

Doug   October 29th, 2009 11:34 am ET

It seems that everything she has said has been validated. Even the "Death Panels" remark has been substantiated. The words Seath Panel were not in the legislation, but legislation that requires Doctors to be fined or recieve less reimbursement for giving seniors the crae they need, does the same thing. It makes doctors choose between giving care or getting fined. That is what Mrs. Palin was specifically referring to. It's TRUE.

Listen to the comments by Robert Reich. He says said that seniors need to be told they won't recieve the care needed to extend their lives. He clearly states that in a speech to college kids at UC Berkely. And the worse part is the audience clapped and yelled in agreement.

I just hope that the Democratic party pauses now and then to thank their lucky stars for Sarah Palin.

My educated guess is that ever since Palins disasterous interview with Katie Couric she has done more to advance the Dems than any other factor!! 76% of swing voters gave Palin being on the Rep. ticket as their primary reason for voting for Obama. And , if that weren't a big enough gift, every time she sticks her foot back in her mouth the Dems raise another bundle of cash using her as the bait!!

Sarah Palin....the gift that keeps on giving!!!!

I am really beginning to believe that CNN is sexist. You mention other Republicans being called out but I don't remember them highlighted on the ticker. Palin is averaging 4 hits a day and then put up for comments and getting 100's of comments calling her stupid and every other name in the book. I was not a big fan of hers but am starting to feel some extreme sympathy and wondering why she is such a threat to the left.

Liberal 'truths' and hate   October 29th, 2009 11:24 am ET

Wow, another CNN story for the liberal haters to attack Sarah Palin. Again I ask, why do you love to hate this woman so? You don't know her. Although she has different ideas than you, Palin hasn't done anything that directly hurt/affected you. She's doesn't even hold a political office.

About the "lies". It appears that both sides have a problem presenting facts without spin or as propaganda. Does anyone really believe that Pelosi and Obama have really created a deficit neutral healthcare plan? Until I see a sustainable Medicare, I'm skeptical.

Dennis   October 29th, 2009 11:23 am ET

As somebody who professes to be a Christian, I can not believe the tactics used by this woman or any others including James Dobson to further their hidden agenda. As a Christian myself, I am embarrassed to even remotely be categorized in the same camp. This is not what Christians should be about. Their tactics are turning more people off religion when they should be about caring and spreading the good news of salvation in a loving way. These people make me sick to my stomach when I think about the number of people who desparately need to hear the message of God but are repulsed by the lies, attitudes and self-serving interest of this wing-nuts. I can tell you that most of the REAL CHRISTIANS I know do not believe like this, but these wing-nuts get all the press. Sad for America. Sad for all the used people who support them.

It all started when Michael Dukakis let "liberal" become a dirty word: he should have gotten out the dictionary and reminded people that it comes from the Latin root for "freedom" – a concept the GOP likes to throw around to get their "base" to the polls so they can then strip us of it.

Palin and her twittering mind are just the latest example of the GOP propogating lies – it's about time the Dems pushed back HARD!

We've tried (Democrats) to be inclusive, we've exhausted all types of logic and explanations and to no avail. The higher the road that we've taken, the lower the lifeforms adopted by the GOP. Brilliant strategy!

As the nation sinks deeper into the economic morass....as Obama's $287,000,000,000 stimulous to create 3.8 million jobs seems to have done NOTHING...housing sales are plummeting....joblessness hits 10%...the outlook is poor...consumer confidense going into the holiday season is crumbling....and the Dems want to bring out the hatchet ON SOMEONE NOT EVEN IN OFFICE.

Do not be surprised when the 2010 election hits the Dems like a ton of bricks for the inept leadership they have shown. This "blame the Repubs" has worn thin nearly a year in...it was time to lead and once again the Dems have majored on the minors and failed this country.

Rob   October 29th, 2009 11:12 am ET

Yes, because if there is any one group that really knows how to lie, it's the DNC. The DNC and the truth, now there's two terms you don't hear together.

Tony   October 29th, 2009 11:12 am ET

But who will debunk the lies of the DNC?

Change In America   October 29th, 2009 11:11 am ET

Please CNN stop posting Palin on the blog she is awful.

Palin is trying to destroy american

W Spivey   October 29th, 2009 11:11 am ET

This lady tells so many lies, you could fix the unemployment problem just rebutting her.

GI Joe   October 29th, 2009 11:11 am ET

Anybody with the Cult mentality to follow the blatant lies of Palin, Boehner, Steele, Bachmann, (and their leader, Limpballs) is too much of an inbred idiot to ever understand the truth.

Wish they had all gone to Africa with Jim Jones. This country would be better off without them causing such hate and fear. Never anything good or positive.

Kevin in Ohio   October 29th, 2009 11:10 am ET

Lies?????????? The ONLY liars are the liberals and democrats who continue their hate-campaign against this honest woman.

Brian   October 29th, 2009 11:09 am ET

Palin, Boehner, Bachmann – nothing more than angry, marginlized malcontents that can not come to grips with their minority status. All they can do is carp and complain.

Dean   October 29th, 2009 11:08 am ET

Gee, I thought Obama wanted us to report those who disagreed with him to the White House.

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   October 29th, 2009 11:08 am ET

All the DNC needs to do is woo Levi and he'll tell ALL. Throw him a little cash and see what he leaks.

AEK   October 29th, 2009 11:07 am ET

The operative word here is "think" twice. These people do not have to think about what they're saying. Their champion, Rush McChubby, is the perfect example. Say any unsubstantiated thing you want, like from some prank website, say it loud and frequently, and then when it's pointed out to be false, claim that it could be true. Doesn't matter to the quitter Palin (you know, the one who pals around with the Chinese Communists!), Beck and the rest, the flock will always follow them to the Kool Aid no matter what!

New Age Independent   October 29th, 2009 11:07 am ET

In other words... "The DNS are asking liberal zealots to post lies about Palin on Facebook.

VB Lincoln Park NJ   October 29th, 2009 11:06 am ET

It's about time. Those of us who can think and reason are SO TIRED OF HER UNBELIEVEABLE TRASH!!!!!

Big Daddy   October 29th, 2009 11:03 am ET

I won't even comment !!!!

Oneton Tomato   October 29th, 2009 11:03 am ET

Don't waste your time. The ranks of the Republican party are facing the honest question against her popularity: qualified or not. She has a new book and promotions while more and more conflicting schedules for party appearances is a ploy to shoot down what being Rogue is all about. So how does the party dump someone who is popular especially with the religious right? Find a way to make herself look bad to the party and blame it on Democrats. You never saw them eat their own before? It's called natural selection.

Donkey Party   October 29th, 2009 11:03 am ET

Funny that Palin blasts Levi for "attention getting lies". If anyone knows anything about attention getting lies, it's Sarah Palin. Let her keep pandering to the right-wingers, their party is making it's final spin in the toilet bowl. Good riddance!!!

Jackie in Dallas   October 29th, 2009 11:03 am ET

Frankly, I feel that is giving her too much attention. For all her posturing about being a "real" American, I notice that neither her nor her husband have dropped their association with the Alaskan secession group, nor have they paid back the RNC for all those clothes, makeup, and hair styling that was inappropriately paid for out of campaign funds.

Then she blasts the father of her grandchild, a man barely out of boyhood, for doing what he can to make a living. Given a choice between believing Levi or Sarah on how Levi was basicaly squeezed out of his child's life and away from his fiancee, I think I'd actually believe Levi. Interestingly enough, Bristol is keeping quiet about the whole situation.

J.Crobuzon   October 29th, 2009 11:02 am ET

Let's debunk Lindsay Lohan's lies first, then A-Rod's, and if there time left over we can debunk whats-her-name too. Yawn. So many tabloid celebrities, so little time.

Ray SF   October 29th, 2009 11:02 am ET

HER lies?? What about all the lies by Pelosi??? By Obama?? Thank God we have Palin and Fox to call out all their lies! This is how I feel and I am a DEMOCRAT!

C. Farrell, Houston, Tx   October 29th, 2009 11:01 am ET

If you are too lazy to read and do research as Palin has proven she does not, then you resort to gossip and lies to boost yourself. The problem with Palin lying is we are smart enough to research the truth. Palin can continue to try to skate through life telling lies but it's time to put up or shut up.

Who put the twit in twitter? Sarah!   October 29th, 2009 11:00 am ET

They need to take on all those buffoons. Palin, Beck, Coulter, Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Huckabee, etc.,etc. A real rogue's gallery of knuckle draggers, birthers and flat earthers.

John in Tampa   October 29th, 2009 11:00 am ET

The problem here is you're taking her too seriously.

turdburglar   October 29th, 2009 10:59 am ET

I wish this article would have at least provided one example of the lies they are debunking.

Gary   October 29th, 2009 10:57 am ET

sounds like a plan

Fair is Fair   October 29th, 2009 10:57 am ET

Pretty lame from the DNC. No wonder they fear this woman so much.

smokey   October 29th, 2009 10:55 am ET

I think this is a great idea...I am just wondering why it took so long for the DNC to stike back. But I am sure glad they are..By not calling out these bold face mis-truths from the start, we end of spending so much time and effort in the long run trtying to dispell the myths, that we are often playing catch up, which is not a good strategy...Also which regards to the Health Insurance Reform debate, why don;t we start asking all these Republicans and so called Blue Dogs, what insurance they all have and call them out on this issue..Seems to me, the American people would be interested in knowing whether they have Medicare which is a goverment run prgrm, yet they continue to fight the public option ! This seems to me would be an aswesome strategy....Keep up the great work DNC .......

mark   October 29th, 2009 10:54 am ET

We need more people committed to unveiling obama's lies!

fielding mellish   October 29th, 2009 10:54 am ET

Send this idiot and the other liars all the unfiltered broadsides they richly deserve!

joann   October 29th, 2009 10:53 am ET

why do the media keep giving Palin air time...she is not news....we know all the liars now in the RNC...they all just want Pres. Obama to fail....the RNC doesn't want a the first black president to suceed in what the previous presidents before him couldn't do...like health care reform....now if was Bush that pushed health care reform it would have been passed.....

I just don't understand why the news media doesn't call out the lies these people sprew...like the media looks at everything Obama does or doesn't do with a magnfying glass.....

The man has only been in office for 10 months and is doing more and has more on his plate than Bush did in his 8 yrs....

tom   October 29th, 2009 10:53 am ET

I a'm looking for your reporton the administration attacking the AP for it's report on jobs created by the so called Stimulus plan

FAYE, NV   October 29th, 2009 10:52 am ET

Sarah is the best at inciting rife and hatred. She gets an A for that.

George   October 29th, 2009 10:52 am ET

Sarah is disgusting and reminds me of a female Rush Limbaugh.
Thank God she and McCain lost. Now I wish she would go away into the sunset. Please go away Sarah!

GOP = "I hope he fails"   October 29th, 2009 10:50 am ET

The DNC continues to be wise in their selection of enemies. They would love for people to be thinking about Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Baukman and Sarah Palin when they walk into the voting booth.

TangledThorns   October 29th, 2009 10:49 am ET

Here is a novel idea... How about the DNC take on lies from actual elected officials like Nancy Pelosi and her CIA lied claim? Or Obama saying the AARP supported his health care reform ideas? Or Rep. Grayson for all the other nonsense that spews from his mouth???

Debby   October 29th, 2009 10:49 am ET

No surprise another childish act by the DNC. They are more worried about Palin then the economy and trying to pass a decent health care bill.

Robert J 1   October 29th, 2009 10:49 am ET

Weel I have to say this that Palin has learned well from Boehner, McConnel, Graham, Limbaugh, Beck, and co.
Anything for publicity to benefit themselves . They all have gotten so phony it's not even politics or a political party any longer. It just a sham for self benefit and egoat the publics expense. These people don't care about America! They only care about themselves and they are becoming even more transparently and blatantly open in their self centered egotistical stupidity. Maybe if they are ignored by the media they will just go away like the bad dream that they are!

usualone   October 29th, 2009 10:47 am ET

What is sad about Sarah Palin is that she probably believes her lies - all the way to the bank.

Bluebonnet   October 29th, 2009 10:46 am ET

This is getting almost comical. The DNC is scared crapless that the Republicans are going to put one over on them. IF THEY COULD TELL THE TRUTH THEMSELVES, Palin's truths wouldn't make any difference, would they? You liberal loons and the DNC are absolutely scared to death of Ms. Palin and, I for one of MANY, think this is humerous.

white female   October 29th, 2009 10:45 am ET

Thank you DNC, let's get busy and stop this, these lies must stop.
The time has come to stop the RNC, Michael steele, and Sarah Palin must stop this wrong doing.
It's so sad what a mess these people on the RNC side of the fence has gotten themselves into with these two fools at the head of their party.

ran   October 29th, 2009 10:44 am ET

This the only time anyone should respond to this "thing" which is to call out any lies "it" makes. Otherwise don't give "it" another thought.

gary davis Harbor Oregon   October 29th, 2009 10:43 am ET

well its about time some democrates get off there butts and stop the lies from that moron . she wants alaska out of the union. and so on .
go get her

demsrulz   October 29th, 2009 10:41 am ET

Why bother... The republican party is dead..

Robert   October 29th, 2009 10:41 am ET

And who is to debunk the lies of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Dunn, ACORN, MSNBC, Biden, Emanuel, Jones, Axelrod and Jarrett?????? Why do they keep saying that those who are opposed to THEIR VERSION of healthcare reform are against reform altogether? And why do they keep saying that the opposition has offered no alternatives????

Sniffit   October 29th, 2009 10:41 am ET

Stop whining GOPers. If you put yourself out there and make public statements, you're asking for scrutiny...and when people use their own freedom of speach to point out that you're a lying sack of stupid, it's not an infringement on your own freedom of speach or an attempt to limit it. In fact, it's precisely what the founding fathers had in mind: public discourse and debate to arrive at the truth. You lie, you pay the price...and she is a PROVEN liar. If only we could create "truth panels" to determine whether people like her need to be euthanized haha

Marie MD   October 29th, 2009 10:40 am ET

It's a shame that anyone needs to tell us to discredit the Alaska quitter when she does such a good job of it herself.
What is annoying is that the DNC, or anyone else for that matter, thinks she is worth it.
The woman is a trainwreck.
Go Levi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bev   October 29th, 2009 10:40 am ET

Geez..............

It would be nice if Obama and the DNC put as much effort into making a decision regarding Afghanistan-–as they do attacking Fox and Palin.

Maybe they should start calling Afghanistan Palin--and we might actually see a decision ASAP.

Kathleen   October 29th, 2009 10:40 am ET

Give her enough rope; she will hang herself. Is she for real?

Amazing   October 29th, 2009 10:39 am ET

DNC – How about we fact check ALL the lies coming out of the white house when they make accusations against FOX. There is so much fact checking to be done within your own party that maybe you should think about it before you go slinging mud. FACT check Obamas campaign promises against reality..........you know, the transparency, elimination of pork, no tax increases, working for ALL Americans, the people he surrounds himself with, etc. Pot calling the kettle black? Amazing the DNC is afraid of little old Sarah Palin, what a bunch of cowards the DNC is.

Ed, Santa Fe, NM   October 29th, 2009 10:36 am ET

Palin is nothing but lies.... a total phony deluding the right-wing nutcases.. they deserve what they get.

katiec   October 29th, 2009 10:36 am ET

Unless the media starts doing its job, confronting, questioning these politicians lies, distortions, sewer tactics, showing them as the undesirables they are, some people will continue to believe.
And, you know CNN will not do that as they are in the party of
NOthings back pocket.

Four and The Door   October 29th, 2009 10:35 am ET

Sarah Palin Rocks! She has the DNC on the defensive and oh do they hate a politician that doesn't act like one.

bill   October 29th, 2009 10:35 am ET

just ignore the fool.then maybe she will go away

susie   October 29th, 2009 10:32 am ET

When is this admistration going to grow up?
