WASHINGTON (CNN) – With their final mailing of the Virginia governor's race, Democrats are hoping President Obama can motivate his 2008 supporters to show up once again for Creigh Deeds next Tuesday.
The Democratic Party of Virginia sent a mail piece Thursday to 330,000 "surge voters" - the Democrats who voted for the first time in 2008 and helped propel Obama to victory in the Commonwealth.
"Last year you joined with over 600,000 Virginians who registered and voted for the first time in their lives," reads the one-page letter, titled "A special message from President Barack Obama." "Your message was clear, your voice was heard and today we're beginning to see the fruits of that labor."
"To make real changes in this country, it will take more than just my presidency - it requires your continued vigilance in the cause of progress," the note continues.
The president goes on to ask voters to make time to go to the polls on November 3 and cast their ballots for Deeds, "the partner I need in Virginia."
Obama appeared with Deeds earlier this week in Norfolk in an effort to rally Democrats who have been less-than enthusiastic about the governor's race. Deeds is trailing Republican Bob McDonnell in the polls.

Gives you a look at Obama's priorties, get out the vote and send cash. Never mind that the national debt is growing at record rates from all time highs, jobless citizens are at record numbers, American troops are dieing in highest numbers of the Afghanistan war and All Obama can do is campaign, look presidentual and smile.
After all of the campaign promises of swift action and good decisions all we get is a "don't rush me" . Guess that went the way of the "hope and change" and the other campaign propaganda.
"Dear Virginia- If you don't support who I say, I will put you on my enemies list. Also, I put us 1.42 Trillion in debt in 9 months...just wait until i'm in this through a whole term!"
Obama doesn't understand, the public is sick of him and is now seeing through his lies.
Virginia and South Carolina were leaders of the Confederacy and those folks are still fighting the national government. Even though Conservatism is determined to destroy the middle class, lower our wages, degrade our working conditions, remove our benefits, make health care hard to get, and reduce individual freedom so as to maximize the freedom of global corporations, they still are agin the feds.

If the President would only be this aggressive in dealing with the war in Afghanistan. He was really quick when it came to changing the name from 'The war on terror... to 'overseas contingency operation'.
He would rather 'play politics' than really lead. He is a great actor, his world is a stage. I am staying tuned to see how safe my corner of the world remains There is more than a good chance, that he will get the war strategy wrong too. Have you been paying attention to this guy?
