'I don't care what Dick Cheney thinks,' Biden says

Biden says he's not too interested in what Dick Cheney has to say.
Biden says he's not too interested in what Dick Cheney has to say.

Washington (CNN) – Vice President Biden on Friday fired back at criticism from his predecessor, former Vice President Cheney, that President Obama is "dithering" over his decision about whether to send up to 40,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan.

"I like Dick Cheney personally but I really don't care what Dick Cheney thinks and I'm not sure a lot of Americans do," Biden said in an exclusive interview with CNN. "Look at the policy they left us, look at the policy of neglect they left us in Afghanistan, look at the policy we inherited in terms of their foreign policy...I think the President is doing exactly what any president should do."

October has turned out to be the deadliest month of the war so far, and Biden said the president needs the appropriate time to get the strategy right. He said the situation on the ground has changed because the Taliban is "taking advantage of a chaotic election process that took place in Afghanistan."

Biden added, "Any thoughtful president should be sitting down saying, 'Okay what is the strategy we have to employ with these changed circumstances?' And then look at the tactic that will best accomplish that. The President has great faith in the military."

The Republican Party is a disgrace and an abomination. There is something putrid about these guys and gals. The Republican Parties of past decades did not make me want to shower after I hear or see them speak on issues. I think it may have started with the Newt Gingrich Crew a few years back.

Where is Holder's investigation going? What about Valerie Plame? What about the secret documents protection act he flaunted? Why is anyone listening to him. He is like Gen. McClellan in the 1860s, incompetent, past his time and he doesn't know it.

If Dick Cheney can cast blame on the Obama administration and thinks he shouldn't be blamed for anything, I salute VP Biden for hitting back. It's the right thing to do and it's past time Dick Cheney and the Bush administration understand there are consequences for what you say and do.

Let Cheney understand one thing: the US Presidency is not a Papacy. Obama is under no constraints to carryout his will in his Presidency especially after these eight horrorful years.

If he is not satisfied let him challenge Obama in 2012 with his daughter as running-mate. You have all the right to.

    NEWS FLASH

Republicans disown the war in Afghanistan.

President Bush neglected that war for years, distracted us in Iraq in an unrelated issue, and Republicans want to blame President Obama for not being a belligerant fool like them.

Republicans need to come to terms with their bad decision-making skills. Republicans: You can't blame President Obama for YOUR mistakes. Although, you have all become exceedingly good at just that.

Too bad the Obama Administration did not take the time needed when it came to the stimulus plan. No one had time to even read the stimulus package. Soldiers life's are at stake. Maybe there should be an urgency in decision making on sending more troops.

The truth of the matter is that the current situation in Afghanistan is the result of 10 months of neglect. Now stop pointing fingers and take care of business.

And I don't care what clown boy Biden thinks. Too bad he won't listen to someone who actually KNOWS something. The arrogance and lies coming out of the White House are astounding. They should have a strategy and they have NONE, to act like they are carefully taking their time making a decision is absurd. Soldiers are dying while they dither.

So Darth Cheney, after doing his best to foment two wars and then screw them both up now has the gall to accuse Obama of dithering? IF ONLY there had been some intelligent 'dithering' ( it's called 'critical thinking', Dick) maybe the insanity could have been stopped before it started. Has any president since FDR been left with more of a mess to clean up than Obama has been saddled with? To hell with the armchair critics who dropped the ball when they were in power. Isn't this the same bunch who accused anyone who dared to question Bush-Cheney as being 'un-American'?
