'I don't care what Dick Cheney thinks,' Biden says

Biden says he's not too interested in what Dick Cheney has to say.
Biden says he's not too interested in what Dick Cheney has to say.

Washington (CNN) – Vice President Biden on Friday fired back at criticism from his predecessor, former Vice President Cheney, that President Obama is "dithering" over his decision about whether to send up to 40,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan.

"I like Dick Cheney personally but I really don't care what Dick Cheney thinks and I'm not sure a lot of Americans do," Biden said in an exclusive interview with CNN. "Look at the policy they left us, look at the policy of neglect they left us in Afghanistan, look at the policy we inherited in terms of their foreign policy...I think the President is doing exactly what any president should do."

October has turned out to be the deadliest month of the war so far, and Biden said the president needs the appropriate time to get the strategy right. He said the situation on the ground has changed because the Taliban is "taking advantage of a chaotic election process that took place in Afghanistan."

Biden added, "Any thoughtful president should be sitting down saying, 'Okay what is the strategy we have to employ with these changed circumstances?' And then look at the tactic that will best accomplish that. The President has great faith in the military."

Interesting that Obama was on the Afghanistan oversite committee, rarely attended and now needs all this time to decide what to do. If he had been doing his job as senator, then maybe he could do his job as president a little better.

    I'm just saying...

The buffoon strikes twice in one day.

He states "the situation on the ground has changed because the Taliban is taking advantage of a chaotic election process that took place in Afghanistan."

    WRONG again, Joe.

Blame your predecessor... blame the Afghan elections... heck, blame the 3 kittens who lost their mittens. Whatever you do, don't take any responsibility.

    BUFFOON.

Look here....Jack a$$....Our troops are on the ground fighting. Who cares what the Afgan's say. GET THEM REINFORCED NOW.

Biden thinks they needs the appropriate time to get the strategy right? THAT'S WHAT GENERALS DO. NOT PRESIDENTS. McCrystal said more troops. SEND MORE TROOPS.

By the way...Gibbs lied again when he said Cheney sat on the request for more troops. Cheney sent in our troops right away. NATO sent the rest.

Obama needs to take time off from campaigning and work for a change.

I love Joe Biden. He's seems like a regular guy but only smarter than the rest of us. Sure sometimes he puts his foot in his mouth, who doesn't? That's what makes him a regular guy. The fact that he knows what he is talking about makes him smarter than the rest of us.

I agreee with every thing that Vice President Biden said. It is simpy pathetic that Cheney the draft dodger can talk war but did not wear the uniform. The same could be said about President Bush. He was another one that was AWOL during the Viet Nam war.

The administration's response to Cheney is too tepid. A better response would be to convene a war crimes tribunal to investigate Cheney and his cabal for crimes against humanity.

Well said, VP Biden. Many Americans do not care what Dick thinks.

Cheney and his neoconservatives should be in jail for their war crimes and injustice imposed on our great nation.

I want to know where the outrage is for the recent public statement by CIA Head Panetta that as Vice President, Cheney ordered the CIA to mislead Congress and leave out information. Cheney wanted to go to war with Iraq, knew the data did not support it, so told the CIA to lie to Congress.

Speaker Pelosi has been totally vindicated when she said the CIA misled her. Where is the APOLOGY from the Republican Party who tried to get her removed as Speaker and went of for weeks what a liar she was. She was telling the truth and the Republicans knew it. They were the liars and the unethical jerks (as usual).

Dick Cheney is an evil and dangerous man and he put our country at great risk of further attacks because of his bully foreign policy.

We now have documented proof he ordered the CIA to lie to Congress so he, Bush and Rumsfeld could get money for their fraudulent war in Iraq. It's past time to prosecute these criminals who killed hundreds of thousands of lives of innocent Iraqi citizens and murdered American soldiers for a total LIE.

The hijackers were Saudi Arabian – so why didn't we attack Saudi Arabia? Because the Bush family had been close personal friends with the Saudi Royal Family for over 30 years.

If Bush really wanted to capture Osama bin Laden (who is a disgraced member of the Saudi Royal family) then why weren't all military efforts focused on Afghanistan? There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq. Their base was Afghanistan.

Bush and Cheney lied to Congress, which is a federal offense, lied to the UN, and lied to the American People. They were traitors and committed many illegal acts defined in our Constitution.

How dare this arrogant Cheney run his corrupt mouth over anything President Obama does! He and the moron Bush destroyed this nation and ran the deficit up to high levels it is. What did America get out of it? NOTHING but death of our soldiers and DISTRUST and HATRED of us by other nations of the world.

Republicans had 8 years to deliver healthcare, climate change, new energy technology beginnings, save jobs that were being sent overseas and watch over Wall St and the banks to stop the economic freefall. They did NOTHING for the benefit of the American people.

Today's Republicans are still doing NOTHING for the American People. They obstruct all needed legislation. They vote NO on everything that will benefit us. They are playing political games with our lives. Republicans have even called for America to FAIL. They are unAmerican, traitors to their oath to serve, and promoters of racism, hate, and violence. Why worry about Al Qaeda when we have our own domestic terrorists who are trying to bring down America?

It's time to prosecute Dick Cheney and time to remove all Republicans from any seat of power. They cannot be trusted and will do and say anything to damage this country and destroy our lives.

I don't care what Cheney and his fear-mongeing, hating daughter think either. They wanted war war war to get the money from Haliburton and other no-bid contracts they influenced.

Two very evil people, if you ask me.
