'I don't care what Dick Cheney thinks,' Biden says

Biden says he's not too interested in what Dick Cheney has to say.
Biden says he's not too interested in what Dick Cheney has to say.

Washington (CNN) – Vice President Biden on Friday fired back at criticism from his predecessor, former Vice President Cheney, that President Obama is "dithering" over his decision about whether to send up to 40,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan.

"I like Dick Cheney personally but I really don't care what Dick Cheney thinks and I'm not sure a lot of Americans do," Biden said in an exclusive interview with CNN. "Look at the policy they left us, look at the policy of neglect they left us in Afghanistan, look at the policy we inherited in terms of their foreign policy...I think the President is doing exactly what any president should do."

October has turned out to be the deadliest month of the war so far, and Biden said the president needs the appropriate time to get the strategy right. He said the situation on the ground has changed because the Taliban is "taking advantage of a chaotic election process that took place in Afghanistan."

Biden added, "Any thoughtful president should be sitting down saying, 'Okay what is the strategy we have to employ with these changed circumstances?' And then look at the tactic that will best accomplish that. The President has great faith in the military."

Dick Cheney is a FOOL, who cares what he and the mouth peices of the cable chatter say, their all jealous, evil, hateful old and middle age men of yester years.
They keep talking about Reagan, Bush, FDR, and all the other dead men of yester years. "you can't keep following a dead man, he is not going anyway," wake up Pat Bucannannnn, Joe Scarbbbb, and Wolf Blitzzzzz this is the 21st century not the 18th or 19th century. We will not stop moving forward the horse is out the barn, history has been made it will not ever be the same again, never, never, even if we never have another Black in the white house again, people or moving forward in this country.

To "enough" and all who made comments on what the president should do. What makes you think that you have the know how to advise the president on what he should do about an 8 year old war? It amazes me that so many of you experts on war are screaming at the WH to do this and to do that. He is the Commander in Chief with expert advisers, etc. If he rushed through on this as the previous president did with Iraq, you would have something else to complain about. Shut up and try positive support since you don't know what the hell you are talking about!

Biden is a joke, an incompetent idiot. But he was hired by an incompetent idiot, so what do you expect? History will prove that this administration( and I use this loosely) has done more to harm this country than anyone before, including Bush/Cheney. And, just an observation...liberals are the meanest people I know...strange, isn't it?

you're not alone, Joe. Most people, except for the far right wackos, don't give a **** what Cheney thinks. He left a DISASTER in his wake, and then sits back and criticizes. Shut up Dickie, you're irrelevant and you can't stand that fact. You're a has-been.

Joe Biden is doing exactly what I expect a good VP to do – he's taking heat for the President and offering alternatives to the conventional wisdom. I find it absolutely amazing that people (Republicans) who will not trust the government to improve our healthcare will trust the government with the lives of our young men and women in uniform – the inconsistency just blows my mind.

  17. all the news that's fit to omit

I'll write this real slow for you Obambi voters to read:

Rahmbo came out and said that Bush and company left them with nothing in regards to a plan or NEVER asked tough questions on Afghanistan and they were at square one, EVERY news agency ran with the story.

ONLY one showed Gibbs being forced to admit that Bush and company did a thorough review of the good and bad and a plan for Afghanistan and OBAMBI asked that they keep it between admins and BUSH DID.

Gibbs I said and I quote "The Bush administration DID leave us some helpful information" in regards to Afghanistan.

Missed that story on the NETWORKS did ya?

Faux showed the story though as it was uh, uh, h, uh news.

I challenge any of you to dispute THE FACTS there.

I seriously believe that there are only two people in this country that care what Dick Cheney thinks or says – Cheney and his neocon daughter. They are only out there now trying to burnish his rotten image. That's quite hard to do when you are a deceitful, lying, piece of political garbage. She is in it obviously only to get her face in the news so that she can run for office with the backing of the wingnuts.
