(CNN) - Tuesday's off-year election might not have the high stakes of the 2008 presidential election, but there are several significant races worth watching:

Hoffman from New York says "Beck" is his mentor..That says alot about him as a canidate..This man, if elected, will be the voice of that district..Again, no thinking, just follow the comments of a "entertainer" who sees a conspiracy theory behind and around ever corner. What is this country coming to??????

Your headline reads " 10 Races to Watch", I wasted 3 min. to watch a video that only summarized 3 races. What gives CNN? The ineptitude is getting frustrating.

Finally, CHANGE IS COMING. Vote for conservative values.

Doug, New Jersey   November 3rd, 2009 10:39 am ET

From driving around this state each and every day, I'm just not sure that there are enough decent, good hearted people in New Jersey for a Republican to win. Some counties in North Western New Jersey along with Cape May County and Ocean County have a lot of great people, but the rest of the state is really all evil, narcisisst, corrupt, dishonest liberals.

Claiming that the Virginia Race is a referendum on the Obama administration is stretching it a bit for the sake of the 24 hour news cycle. Sadly most democrats conceded the race months ago when Deeds won the nomination. Although he would make a fine Governor, his personality and "presence" could not offset the McDonnell machine and the tons of cash the republican party has pumped into the state, (Just so they could call it a referendum) As a Virginia Democrat, I certainly hope that the less fortunate in the state survive the next Governor and his policies. Women...well be ready to lose many of your personal freedoms, as Mr McDonnell seems to lean toward a fundamentalist version of womens equality. Theocracy will replace democracy in the Old Dominion soon. Led by the "ReTAlicans"

Not really much to watch,,,, we know what the out come will be. The Dems are being outsted as fast as the american people can get them out.
2010 will be fun and 2012 will be "CHANGE" that all americans can and will be cheering about. Here we come Odumbo, You dont have ACORN to save your sorry butt this time.

I am a Liberal, not a Democrat. More than being a Liberal, though, I am an anti-Conservative. Conservatism must be eliminated from the political dialog if our nation is to survive. Those people (the leaders, not the gullible voters) have devoted themselves to a simple policy: prevent the nation from solving any of its problems.

We will not last many more decades if Conservatism continues to win every other election. I urge voters to vote Democrat and then try to make the very disappointing Democratic Party into a more worthy party. Right now it is mostly a party of professional politicians who want to maximize their own longevity in office. At least they are better than Conservatives.

Let's not be dysfunctional today America! Get out and VOTE!

1. Remember which party created the Great Recession.

2. Remember who LIED to you about the reason to attack Iraq! A war that has cost us, over $3 trillion!

3. Remember that Bush said he "wants Bin-Laden dead or alive" that was EIGHT YEARS and TWO WARS later! Bin-laden is still free!

4. Remember that President Obama INHERITED the biggest DEFICIT in the history of the U.S.!

5. Remember that on January 20th 2009 (10 months ago) when Obama was sworn in, we were LOSING....... 750,000 jobs each month!

6. Remember America that Bush & Cheney tortured POW's. Breaking the Geneva Convention law that the U.S. helped author to protect our POWs.

7. Remember America that the GOP's politics of hate, lies, fear and division do nothing but hurt our Nation. Polarizes us. The GOP questions YOUR Patriotism.

(excuse the yelling) DO NOT ALLOW THE GOP TO WIN, WE'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THEIR IDEOLOGY FOR ....... THE LAST EIGHT YEARS!

Willy Brown   November 3rd, 2009 10:12 am ET

Carole   November 3rd, 2009 10:07 am ET

It is NOT a referendum on the President.....like duh.

John looks like he is ready to light a cigarette in this picture. Is he related to Lou Dobbs?

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   November 3rd, 2009 9:54 am ET

Sad to say, but i think McDonnell is going to win VA. That really sucks because he is a status quo republican.
