Did you hear? In Illinois, Obama saved more education jobs than actually existed. He can make this claim because without the stimulus, all teachers would have been laid off, and parents would have had to quit their jobs to teach their children.

This man is magnificent. He had the forsight to see that without a stimulus, everyone would have been out of work. Brilliant I tell you, just brilliant.

The country is BROKE! The dollar is BROKEN! So people are losing their jobs left and right and his solution is to tax them more.? Tax the rich? I've got some startling news for you, the rich ain't so rich anymore which leads to...lower tax revenue... so what's the solution? Let's tax people on income they don't have to fund a health care plan when we're barely scraping our way out of a recession. Great idea. This is all about the politics of him getting this done as quickly as possible before the mid-term elections with total disregard for the financial state of the country and the need to get the small businesses that employ 90% of the workers in this country back on their feet (which in the end would actually then increase tax revenue. See how this works?). Change? Right. Politics as usual. Can't believe I voted for this guy.

Many are ignoring that the majority of people want, support and
demand Health Care Reform and Public Option.
Many continue to put big business over the needs of the American
people.
Campaign funding, personal gains and interests have become their guiding factor and we must let them know this is no longer acceptable to the voters.

The House is going to vote on Saturday and the President is going up to the HILL on Friday? Give me a break. I am a supporter of the President but I have to admit that I am of the opinion he should have been on the HILL before now banging heads and kicking butt to get people in line for a positive out come on this issue. I agree that he should have tried to bring Republicans onboard too but after extending an open hand and pulling back a bloody nub, it was time for him to proceed without them. Force Republicans to vote down Health Care Reform so the voters in this country could see that Republicans are owned and operated by big business in this country. Insurance Companies would then begin rate hikes that would send us into Medical Bankruptcy and that would show the American voters that Insurance Companies care only about their profits and not clients health. That would get them out of office in 2010 and a real majority in the Senate and as for Blue Dogs, well they are no more than Undercover Republicans so send them packing too.

This health care bill, over 2000 pages long, is quite simply a MESS. It will cost us trillions, and we cannot afford it. It does NOTHING to bring down costs. (Have you noticed why the Lawyers have been so quiet????) We need REAL reform, not this entitlement package for the lawyers and the lazy.

I Support President Obama And The House Democrats. Lets Get Health Care Passed, And Lets Move On To Climate Legislation.

And yet he can't seem to make a decision on Afganistan, preferring instead to play basket ball, stump for his buddies and use fallen heros flag draped casket as a photo op...even used the wrong salute... when, oh when can we begin articles of impeachment on this man? there is more than enough evidence that he has been derelict in his duty as POTUS and is currently trying to force an Unconstitutional health care bill on us that will enslave our children and their children in debt....rather ironic for our first black president to enslave fututre generations of our children...but CNN will never print this anyway....

Well since there isn't any campaigning to do right now, maybe he'll get back to work and try to shove this lousy bill down our throats. Guess he didn't learn by the election...............we don't want it!

What another trip on Air Force 1 for Oduma? With his track record, he will take AF1 to go 6 blocks from 1600 Penn Ave to the Capitol! Hey why don't someone compute his use in 10 months of AF1 and compare the totals to other president during their 1st 10 months. Bet his use has added more to our debt than any other president!

I really do hope that americans see the need for health care reforme espically members of congress President Obama is doing a good job in promoting. GOP need to get on board and stop being the party of noooo's The president is pushing because he want americans to prosper in aforadable health care.

If a health reform bill is not passed at this time, we may be held hostage by the insurances companies forever, and that will surely be regrettable for everyone. Even if this bill may not be perfect in every little way, so what; surely it can be tweaked when we see what the imperfections are in the future. This should not be so partisian. It will be an improvement over what we now have for everyone .....Republicans and Democrats alike.

I hope he will live up to the promises he made especially when he said "If you like what you have you can keep it" That is not what the House Bill says, I think he is ignorning our Constitution, I don't think the Founding Fathers intended to make it manditory for the Gov't to tell us what kind of Insurance we should have. This is a big mess.

Didn't he get the message................we DON'T want this crappy health care bill. Nobody believes this is going to reduce the deficit. We all know you cannot reduce Medicare benefits by billions. How about some honesty out the deceptive white house........that would be change we could believe in. Work on reforming health insurance companies and get out of bed with the lawyers. Make insurance affordable and available for all to PURCHASE. We have had enough of Obama Robin Hood.

Has anyone figured out how much money the Insurance Giants are making with each day that the passage of the Health Care bill is delayed? Or more to the point how much money they are paying each day to insure that delay? The people in need be damed!

Its time Obama did that, It''s also time the democrats forget the republicans. They will do nothing to help. All they care about is that America fails. Party over country. All they know is failure. 8 years if failure. Obama will nit fail neither will America. Democrats grow some
fortitude and do what is necessary.

It may be that President Obama has tried too hard to work with Republicans whose primary agenda is to obstruct and undermine him, even at the expense of the American people. The neocons took advantage of the delay in passing health care reform by organizing the mobs that traveled from rally to rally in August, grabbing headlines with their anger and theatrics. The Republican "leadership" has shown no interest in bipartisan legislation. It's time for President Obama to move on, focusing on the changes the American people voted for one year ago.

Yes, the deficit must be considered but I think that raising taxes on those who make over $500,000 will not ultimately be a political problem for Dems and moderates.

No one yet has a perfect health care plan. The Democrat plan has things that are needed. The Republican 'plan' (the quotes are because, unfortunately, it is not fully developed yet and lists what they want accomplished) has things that are needed.

Bottom line, the status quo will make things much worse. If the Democrats got everything they want costs likely wouldn't be contained, however, there would be much fewer people going into bankruptcy because of health care costs. If the Republicans got everything they want it would be worse than the status quo. The free market, which by the way fails miserably due to the market failures in healh care that go against the assumpstion needed for the free market to work, would lead to higher costs, more people refused for insurance, restrictions on labor supplies, and many unneeded tests due to the common fee-for-service payment scheme.

President Obama needs to speak to all the Blue Dogs and hold them accountable!

And his appearance on Leno. And his communications with his gererals to determine the proper course in Afghanistan (wait, scratch that).

If this massive government controlled health care bill (even provisions for the government to control medical education) is passed in the House there will be a House cleaning in 2010. This is not what the majority wants and Pelosi is determined to railroad it through against popular opinion. They will claim AARP supports it as some sort of stamp of approval. The AARP is a far left liberal outfit that members are leaving in droves. Bye bye majority.
