Palin to keep low-profile on Wisconsin trip

Palin is keeping a low profile on her trip to Wisconsin Friday.

(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is set to deliver remarks at a Wisconsin Right to Life event Friday evening, one of the few speeches the former Republican vice presidential nominee will have given since she resigned the governorship last summer.

But Palin appears to be doing her best to keep a low profile on this trip: no press will be allowed into the Milwaukee auditorium where she will speak and those who have paid the $30 admittance fee are unable to carry in cell phones, cameras, laptops, or recording devices of any kind.

Wisconsin Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate told the Wisconsin Radio Network he finds all these restrictions "bizarre."

"You know, for someone who claims to be a rogue and isn't afraid of what other people think it really is sort of hypocritical to not let the media, the press cover your event."

Meanwhile Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus said he's excited Palin is coming to his state, but stressed the party has nothing to do with this event or its limitations.

Palin's speech comes a day after a new national poll suggests the former Alaska governor may face some obstacles should she decide to run for the White House. According to the new Gallup survey, only about one in three Americans would seriously consider casting their vote for her.

The speech also comes a week and half before Palin's highly-anticipated memoir "Going Rogue: An American Life" is released. The Alaska Republican will commence a national book tour soon after and sit down for high-profile interviews with Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters.

Get used to it as Palin is slowlypreparing us towards a new America where, after our upcoming economic and social collapse, those with the guns and bibles will be the authority. Enjoy your freedom while you can.

Sarah needs to go, I'm tired of her. What happened to the losers fading into the sunset after election day? The people who will be attending her speech for $30 should demand their money back on the basis of her being washed up. Her 15 minutes was over on Nov. 3rd, 2008.

Another Palin story, everyday you report this crap. Who cares??? Why not talk about how Pelosi is not posting her bill on line 72 hours before the vote? The dems lie again and again yet you report on Palin??? Shameful at best.

She's a nut. Palin and Michele Bachmann need to board the crazy train and get the heck out of this country.

No media. No recording devices (yeah, let's see THAT one enforced). Either she wants to be the first person to give a public speech that no one hears, or she doesn't want evidence of what she plans to say.

    I'd call that bizarre.

To hell with letting the media in. She doesn't want anyone with any type of recording devices. She's that dumb.

These right wing nut jobs give lip service to the importance of "individual freedom" ... but if ever given power, they would strip individual freedoms. Just like Bush did. They operate in the same fashion as the totalitarian Communists (of the 1950's) that they still rail against. Problem is, they just traded one extremist ideological viewpoint for another, keeping much of the underlying totalitarian infrastructure intact.

I don't find it amazing at all that recording devices of all types and the media are being kept away. With her inability to form two complete sentences, and her rather unintelligent take on most subjects, there probably won't be anything worth recording. Those who love her and don't care that she can't speak intelligibly will love her, nonetheless, and those of us who would just rather not see or hear anything more from her will be relieved not to hear more of her inanity. And to think I was seriously considering voting for McCain before he selected this airhead narcissist as his running mate!

It's obvious she is trying to hide her....shall we say...... "lack of intelligence." However, she can run, but she can't hide (it).

If Palin weren't an attractive woman, she'd be so long gone by now it's hard to even describe.

I am not a Palin fan but Bizarre is how the media continues to crucify the woman! It is funny how people like Tate can not understand why she does not want the media or recording devices. If the media does not hear what she says, how can they comment negatively on it...

Sarah Palin makes CNN news without even trying. I think it is because the looney libs love to post hateful, slanderous comments. Democrats are the party of NO tolerance or class.

1 in 3. Amazing, are 1 in 3 American just plain idiots? There should be a test one has to pass before one is allowed to vote. There would be alot less vote to count that way.
