Palin will headline media dinner

Former Gov. Palin will headline an annual dinner with journalists in early December.

Former Gov. Palin will headline an annual dinner with journalists in early December.

Washington (CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's sharp criticism of the media won't stop her from breaking bread with journalists next month at a dinner here in the nation's capital.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee will be the GOP speaker at the Gridiron Club and Foundation's annual winter dinner, the organization announced Friday.

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-Massachusetts, will be the Democratic speaker at the Dec. 5 event.

Palin's appearance at the Gridiron dinner will come a few weeks after her new book, "Going Rogue: An American Life," goes on sale.

While people in this country starve, Sarah Palin will not be the only one at that dinner, idiot. The Gridiron Dinner is a Washington DC tradition and all politicians of every persuasion show up. Criticize them all for eating well, not just the ones you don't like.

This is one of the most pathetic meltdowns egged on by a vindictive ego....go to Alaska and chill out for 12 months. Get a degree. Emerge, have nothing again to do with politics... then maybe... maybe you might become a leader (by invitation).

Don't blame Palin for McCaine's poor showing in the last presidential campaign. He and his staffers were off the mark and run a very weak campaign. they never came out fighting. Palin had more spit than them...and that's the truth.

I wonder if she'll trot out the family for this one. Is this on the same day as her grandbaby-daddy's playgirl shoot?

The fascinating, and sorrowful aspect about this and similar "news" articles regarding former Gov. Palin is how smitten a large segment of the electorate and seemingly the entire media cabal is with someone of such mediocre, short-sighted and narrow-casted perspectives.

She is a "someone" because the media salivates at the very prospect of a headline, any headline.

It is obvious that CNN is scared silly of Palin. Mark this down you CNN creatins, Sarah Palin will either be the next president after forcing your Imam Obama out in 2012 or she will be a major player in who DOES become president. It is going to be wild seeing thousands of you slashing your wrists and ghanshing your teeth. But it is going to happen.

The GOP should just copy some of these posts, you know the daily Palin update – the majority of which are hatefilled, trollish and post them on a commercial and say, this is the party that won overwhelmingly in the last election – and you expect bi-partisanship?

    So Palin is:
    – Irrelevant; You all have been saying that for how long now?
    – Her "15 minuites are up" for how long now?
    – Nobody cares what she says? Except CNN on a daily basis.

It's so funny, CNN is like the dork in high school who dreams about dating the Prom Queen but she won't even talk to him, so he gets a job at the student newspaper and writes a gossip column about her.

The last Palin Ticker from yesterday, I was amused:

    – Palin isn't being "transparent" – Obama/Pelosi promised transparency IN OFFICE, not Palin as a book author.

    – I wouldn't vote for Palin. (As if getting advice on who to run for the GOP ticket from a rabid left-winger would be a good idea).

    – How dare Palin hold a closed door book signing, doesn't she know that all book sigings are held like a press conference where the book author gets grilled by the press?

I heard she was stupid, but not a stupid as a web site running a daily update on what Sarah Palin is wearing today and more reports that they can't interview her and that she is successful without their help.

Or not as stupid as the hatefilled, trolls who seem to comment ad nauseum on these Daily Palin Tickers.

We except the fact that Sarah lives under a double standard. The media crictized her for not allowing cameras during her Milwaukee Right to life speech. What the media did not say was they could have, but didnt, cover her right to life speech in Evensville Indiana. (CNN did however). If she had allowed cameras the Media would have said Sarah is only seeking the spotlight. But did the media critizice past Presidents for the same type of speeches? No, of Course not. They also critiziced her for the cities she will sign books in. Saying they were all cities that would have more Republicans, Again I ask, did the media critizice past politicians for the cities they choose to sign books in? The media can't have it both ways. I am shocked her poll numbers remain as high as they are.

Sarah Palin doesn't scare me one bit because at the end of the day "sensible" Americans will see her for what she really is: A brain dead Republican with zero ideas and a complete fool. What I do take offense at are news organizations, like this one, continuing to give her a "free pass". It seems like she can spout out pure nothingness like "death panels" to the press, then all of a sudden gives no reason or policy statement for her rant. For news organizations, including this one, to continue to give this irrevelant carnival barker a forum only proves that present day news sleeps in the same bed with reality TV.

No one is afraid of Sarah Palin. We are disgusted that someone who preaches family values, but isn't even raising her own family, is seen as some paragon by her fans. We are amazed that a woman who lied from the first sentence of her convention speech (she was never against the bridge, folks, and she told her family she was running for VP AFTER she accepted, and she told MCain about Bristol after that...nice honest and open candidate there) and continues to lie, is seen as a role model. We are stunned that people who are against health care because it will "cost too much" are willing to send Palin millions of dollars for her to dole out to candidates deemed worthy by her.
And to her fans here who demonize our President, he kept us out of another depression, he kept us out of a war with Iran, has stopped torture, and we are once again respected by foreign leaders. He has also put strings on the tarp funds, unlike Bush, so that money is being repaid to the taxpayers. But I guess you expected world peace and gold raining down from heaven or something. I'm satisfied that we are no longer breaking God's laws by torturing people, and that there is a man in the White House with morals again. Betcha his daughters are never pregnant at 16, and betcha both girls go to college.

I don't think even Fox news gives Palin this much coverage. Why do you guys give her so much attention? No one who is considered a front runner this early ever wins.

While reading the comments here it is very obvious that Palin has forgotten more than the majority of Dem will ever know about real life! It is also apparent that the socialist are VERY scared of her ... otherwise why keep tracking her if she is so stupid and so irrelevant ."

You do know that Sarah ran the most socialist state of the 50, right? She taxed the heck out of the oil companies and then "spread the wealth" to all Alaskans. Scared? Not so much. Amazed that she is still around? Yes.
Really amazed that people think she cares about anyone but Sarah Palin. Oh, yeah.
