Palin will headline media dinner

Former Gov. Palin will headline an annual dinner with journalists in early December.

Former Gov. Palin will headline an annual dinner with journalists in early December.

Washington (CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's sharp criticism of the media won't stop her from breaking bread with journalists next month at a dinner here in the nation's capital.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee will be the GOP speaker at the Gridiron Club and Foundation's annual winter dinner, the organization announced Friday.

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-Massachusetts, will be the Democratic speaker at the Dec. 5 event.

Palin's appearance at the Gridiron dinner will come a few weeks after her new book, "Going Rogue: An American Life," goes on sale.

CNN and the people that post on here saying mean things about Sarah Palin really make me laugh. No matter what she does or says–it is the one article with the most comments on it!!! You are so afraid of Sarah Palin and what she means to most Americans, that you "scrounge around" for anything that she does–so you can make your remarks. If you really mean what you say, you wouldn't even comment on her. That should be a waste of time to you.

without a doubt Palin is the most inconsequential politician/celebrity ever to walk in heels. She's moot yet for some dumb reason the media continues to give her publicity. Palin is no different than Kate(the plus 8 mom)..being rewarded with celebrity status for their embarrassing self-imposed failures. Why doesn't anyone care that Palin QUIT her job as governor and ran south for $$$$$$$$. Unbelievable.....

I wonder how many of you who criticize Sarah Palin have actually read anything she has written, or listened to any speeches she has given. You have nothing but nasty things to say about her, but I bet you don't know anything she stands for....or any of her real accomplishments.
You don't give any illustrations of how ingnorant she is. In order for your comments to be considered, you must at least back them up with facts.

Long Rider, nobody is SCARED of Sarah Palin. In fact, many people are just down right amused by her false sense of importance. What we are afraid of are ignorant people who blindly embrace her distorted view of the American people. For example, look at your own post. Of course, I doubt you can recognize the point.

Palin is not a person to fear. She is a person out of her scope and her Republican colleagues will not give her any power they do not want her to have.

She's not intellectually cut out to be in politics. She has a very limited grasp of civics and history. I'm reminded of the newscaster in the movie "Network" and Peter Sellers' character in the movie "Being There". It takes more than shrewd puppetry to be in politics. George Bush had Dick Cheney pulling his strings, but I don't think ANYONE would consent to being this intellectual midget's second banana.

I would love to attend to hear what she has to say, however, I believe all the tickets are taken. Good luck Sarah, the jealous democrats are at it again attempting to make you look bad, too bad they will not succeed. Looking forward to 2012

Palin has contributed to the fracture of the GOP. They have become a 2 party party, Conservatives and Republicans. If they think they can win a presidential race that way, they're crazy. Like so many others before her, Palin is a hypocrite. Preaches family values and abstinence, but it would seem that she may have conceived before marriage, not to mention her failure to instill those "conservative" moral values in her daughter. She is a quitter, running out before more ethics charges could be brought. Her husband was a leading voice in the group that wanted Alaska to withdraw from the US! What a patriot! Now she won't allow press, cameras, recording devices or cell phones at a public speaking engagement. For a person who espouses transparency, she's issuing some peculiar restrictions.

    Professional Liberal Blogger alert!!!!
Sarah's name is mentioned and they keep posting the same postings they've put up for a year.
And I never get tired of their obsession with her.
Read some of these posts and try to figure out how these guys know so much bad stuff about her when they are the ones that say she hasn't done anything!
These professional bloggers will earn their stimulus money now that her book is coming out.
    Let the games begin!!

Always remember some Republicans I know only voted for McCain because he'd supposedly die quickly and then big boobed woman would be president. Yes they said they loved her breasts. Saying even worse thing than I'll mention here. Centerfold Sydney Moon is certainly alot smarter than Sarah. If we wanted to go that way.

If the democrats were not worry about Sarah Palin, they wouldn't be throwing all those scare tactics and insults her way. Liberals, democrats, and obama socialists are worried that Sarah Palin will lead the Republicans to win more seats in 2010 and 2012. She's gold and they know it......

Palin obviously remains a powerful contender for the Presidency, since so many people on this site and CNN itself comment on her every move. It is clear that most people are doing their best, even before she announces a run, to try and discredit her in some way. Liberals are indeed scared that the heart and soul of America actually support her rather than support the crazy left wing radicals that post on this site and are now in the White House.

Not to worry....when the time comes for Sarah to run for president, she will be four years older than she was in 2008 and will not be as "hot" as she was when alot of people voted for her.....hotness.

Oh goodie, she can make a fool of herself as she breaks bread with the very people who cost her the election. Hopefully her flashcards will be more usefu then.
And, we don't need her or want her in Florida!......................................The media did NOT cost Palin the election, she did that totally on her own! All anyone needs to do is some research to realize she has no morals, ethics or honor. It really is all about ME-ME-ME and MONEY MONEY MONEY with Palin. Check out the mudflats, adn, many other sources to see the constant hipocracy from Palin. Whine about the media at every opportunity but also use them at every opportunity. She is one poor example of a Christian.
