From

Washington (CNN) - White House Communication Director Anita Dunn – who recently drew headlines for her criticism of Fox News – will be leaving her post at the end of November, administration officials confirmed Tuesday.

Dunn, who took the post on a temporary basis, had originally been slated to leave the job at the end of the summer, but stayed on at President Obama's request. She will be replaced by Deputy White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer, and retain a consulting role.

After months spent largely behind the scenes, Dunn burst into public view when she charged that Fox News was acting as an arm of the Republican Party. She later drew controversy after Fox host Glenn Beck broadcast footage of a comment in which she appeared to speak favorably about former communist Chinese leader Mao Tse-Tung. Watch: Dunn goes on the offensive vs Fox.

Pfeiffer, who headed the Obama communication shop during the 2008 presidential campaign, is a Democratic political veteran who has also worked for former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle and Sen. Evan Bayh as well as Vice President Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign.

Dunn, a seasoned political operative, assumed the role earlier this year when then-Communications Director Ellen Moran left the post for a role at the Commerce Department.

HAHA...I just looked up Beck and Limbaugh. No College education...and we are letting them do the thinking for the Republican parties?? Wow... Limbaugh even FAILED out of college..wasn't like he didn't go.

Beck didn't even go...I won't fault him on that one.

T Nykreim   November 10th, 2009 4:49 pm ET

What I want to know is: These people you attack Glen Beck , Fox News , and the people who watch them. Have you even watched the show.? After watching the show have you done your own research to find out if what he is stating is true?
If you haven't then you are spouting the propaganda of your party and other news networks! I am an American citizen born with rights. I choose not to follow anyone blindly. I suggest you research the facts, not attack the person sharing the the facts. Fghts with the issues not the people who are talking about the issues.

Tired   November 10th, 2009 4:49 pm ET

I have to say I"m tired of this administration already. I'm sure Obama is a good guy and he's smart. Definitely someone for Americans to look up to in the way he presents himself. He's a great speaker. But his leadership is lacking. He hasn't chosen good czars and advisors. Interestingly to note that while he seems to be highly intelligent he is surrounded by a lot of idiots. It begins in his cabinet and with his advisors and continues through Congress with Nancy Pelosi and her crew. Still looking for a change from the standard day to day politics and plays from both sides of the aisle. Disappointment continues...

geecee   November 10th, 2009 4:47 pm ET

No one is trying to censure Fox. They are just being called out for the lies they spew each and every day. They say the most outrageous things and dumb people think it must be a fact if Fox News said it!! Oh yeah, really credible news channel there!! They employ liars on their programs to further incite the angry, hate-filled morons who listen to this channel and to Limpbag too on a daily basis. Just can't get enough of the hate, huh folks? Glad to feed your head with all the poison you are fed. Hope it makes you feel better to hate your country so much you want to see our President fail.

Laughing Liberal   November 10th, 2009 4:46 pm ET

So, if Fox News is always right... why are you all here on CNN? Oh. Right. Hypocrites and liemongering. No no, carry on with your mindless drivel. See, I can *read* which would be why I don't watch Fox News. That and because I like facts. Fox took "journalistic neutrality" and said "It's outdated. We want our opinions on all the time." And the crazy right wingers agree. I can't wait for there to be an aggressively leftist news network. Certainly would make for a refreshing change of pace. Of course, I believe in "objectivity." Go look the word up. Might do you some good.

Donald in CA   November 10th, 2009 4:46 pm ET

Dunn gets thrown under the bus for speaking the truth. The obama administration seem to be afraid of the right wing in this country. Right or wrong the republicans stick together and thats why nothing changes for the better in this country.

Snairad   November 10th, 2009 4:45 pm ET

Faux News must have found this article on CNN and ran with it. I find these comments hilarious. People love talking about things without filtering their emotions. I guess they don't care that this makes them sound ignorant. Whatever happened to the non-corporate non-political news source? I blame corporate news sources with a political agenda for making the average "Joe" angry and ignorant. If one wants to really get a good perspective on what's happening in the world don't watch FOX or CNBC news, don’t listen to Beck or Limbaugh. Instead read BBC and PBS news sources or listen to NPR. You’ll have a less biased perspective, and better understanding of the world and the state of the union. I'll give CNN credit they are at least trying to be less biased and more globally aware.

Nuwan Samaranayake   November 10th, 2009 4:44 pm ET

One thing she is right about it that Fox is not a news network. It is a mouthpiece to ultraconservative republican idiologists of this country, disguised as a news network. I have given up watching it years back. I switched to CNN to see some realistic unbaised news. Fox news obviously can spread misinformation and they will continue to do so. That is the part of the freedom of speech. There will be audiance to watch that crap idiology that has sunken this country. I only hope that the minds of future generations will not be poisoned by those propaganda carried out by it.

objective   November 10th, 2009 4:43 pm ET

Fox IS an un-official extension of the GOP. We all know it.

Its their right just like it is Dunns right to call them out about it.

Fox blatantly distorts the truth and it the same breath call themselves "fair and balanced"... that's another subject ..

No one censored Fox or even tried to. This woman was brave enough to state the obvious . Fox is slanted toward the right.......Is that incorrect?

All of you you die-hard reps found a forum to vent but, and are off on some tangent like the WH tried to censor Fox.

Everyone that is is painting Dunn in a bad light say Fox has the right to free speech the same people should stop throwing rocks....
FYI Dunn has the right too.

Looks like Fox can dish it but they cannot take it.

I hope more people like Dunn take the same stance.

Trade Freedom for Security, Lose Both   November 10th, 2009 4:43 pm ET

Government should live in continual fear of its citizens and a free press. The founding fathers knew what they were doing.

Karl in SLC   November 10th, 2009 4:41 pm ET

The followers (reminds me of Jim Jones) of Fox "news" Comedy Cult and the AM Radio purveyors of Hate are a blight on our country. You are an embarrassment and you are the laughing stocks of the world.

You have no idea of what 95% of the terms you spout off even mean. Ronnie Rayguns war on education really ensnared about 20% of our population.

Norman   November 10th, 2009 4:41 pm ET

Good news for Dunn.

Ahmadinejad is looking for a communications director and I can't think of anyone more qualified. Hell, I'll even chip in on the airfare.

rocky gapian   November 10th, 2009 4:41 pm ET

Talk about failed picks in an administration. Does anyone need to be reminded of the failures and lies of the Bush presidency and the crooks within it. Hopefully, most will remember the true illegitimacy of the Bush years.

Shelly   November 10th, 2009 4:40 pm ET

another one leaves, or gets kicked out. By next year, Obama will have replaced everyone....appparently he realizes he makes bad choices after the fact

Jon   November 10th, 2009 4:36 pm ET

All of you who spew things like "Democrats = Socialists" or "liberal media bias" or "FOX News is pat of the Republican Party" or any of that other let's-draw-a-line-between-us, partisan swill should really sit down, shut up and open your eyes and ears.
Stop repeating what your favortie talk-radio personalities are saying. Rush and Glenn Beck and Lou Dobbs and Rachel Maddow are not supposed to be thinking for you. Use your brains. Stop fighting each other. Talking smack on a comment board does nothing to solve any of the problems we all still have.
Despite our beliefs, we're all still Americans. Once we all can work together for the good of the nation it will become the greatest nation in the world again. Right now, not so much.

Regressives can't take it when someone puts a mirror in their face. Good job Anita, you took one for the team because so many liberals in the past have been too afraid to call them out.

Ah, the regressive GOP loves to say liberals have no balls but they sure as hell can't take a punch!

Chris   November 10th, 2009 4:34 pm ET

How about both parties kind of suck right now... How about for once we just have someone do whats right not what, the parties say... Just whats right or everyone...

pravin   November 10th, 2009 4:34 pm ET

Obama should have been smart enough to "release her" months ago. It is "self-defeating" to attack a major news media which has such a global reach, more so if it is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Wonder what Pfeiffer, whose emails asking for money and support I (and countless others) receive frequently, will say when Obama makes his next biggest mistake and confirms what CBS has reported just yesterday, that the Pres has "decided" to give General McC most of what he wants.. confirming to all his supporters, as well as his detractors, that "all that deliberation" was merely a Charade.Just another empty suit who believes that a good speech, like snake oil, solves all problems..

Ron   November 10th, 2009 4:31 pm ET

We keep comparing this economic downturn with its abysmally high unemployment figures to 1983! Let us remember who was the President in 1983!. The beloved Ronnie Reagan. What did he EVER
really do???? He wanted to reduce Social Security payments, break the unions, reduce hourly wages, etc, etc, make the rich richer and poor poorer as usual. He presided over the recession of 1981-1983 and another recession in 1986-1988 before he finally left office – thank God! The woman mentioned in this article, who "apparently" thought Mao Tse Tung may have been a good thing for China, actually probably was right! Now we are COMMUNIST China's biggest debtor and we, of course, have a huge balance of trade with
them. What hypocrites Americans are when it comes to dealing with COMMUNISM. I guess as long as they sell cheaper sweaters, we are all for them. Nice.

Zandy   November 10th, 2009 4:31 pm ET

Good bye Anita and good riddance. One more Obama pick that proves he isn't capable of running the country. I really enjoyed her attempt at explaining why we don't have enough H1N1 vaccine; yet we are suppose to believe that they can run the health insurance program? It's a shame that she can't take the rest of the zoo with her. I would be thrilled to see the White House Press Secretary be unemployed as well.

Mark C   November 10th, 2009 4:30 pm ET

LOL, the right-wing nutsacks are out in force today. Keep it up, nutsacks. Your blah blah blah wears thin after a while.

Ken   November 10th, 2009 4:29 pm ET

She is pointing out a fact, it isnt up to debate. Fox is the media arm of the Republican Party. Large amount of their programming is opinions, not news. Even their news is flawed, as some of their news references their own network claims as news.

That is like me making up some radical statement, putting it on wikipedia, and then referencing it as a truth in some argument.

I dont think she should have been pressured like that, take the popularity hit for standing up for the right thing.

Stephen   November 10th, 2009 4:28 pm ET

Marxists... lol... you people make me laugh. You need people like Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh to do your thinking for you (neither one have a college degree btw).

Please stay in the Republican Party! You make the Democrats look good!

Lol... Marxists.

Scooter Libby   November 10th, 2009 4:22 pm ET

All these labels. You can disagree without being disagreeable. This is not the first administration to have controversial people, and neither will this be the last. At least no one in the administration has gone to jail yet.

I would have thought that the free market system has already been proven dificient by GM, almost all banks, not to mention Bush, Cheney and friends. Most of us see this as a fact, but some people like Glenn Beck refuse to see reason, and incite the less inteligent masses to these ends. People need to wake up and see what's in front of them, not just listen to these types of fools.

howie   November 10th, 2009 4:21 pm ET

Great job Beck, now see if you can get another dozen to leave!!

Dee   November 10th, 2009 4:20 pm ET

She was only going to be there temporarily. She knew that and is fine with the move.

She was absolutely right with what she said about Fox.

Bill O'Reilly said the same thing on the tapes with Andrea Makris. She said that Cheney/Bush were instructing their friend and ally Roger Ailes on what to talk about each night. Roger Ailes is not going to change Fox News from being a Republican mouthpiece. Everyone knows this.

Dave   November 10th, 2009 4:14 pm ET

She has already done her damage.

Since when is a Deputy Director the permanent replacement for the Director? Sounds like the WH is getting a little unconfortable and needed to chance the face...

Take your marbles and leave the playground. You won't be missed. As for the Fox News comment, it is becoming inherently clear to Americans that freedom of speech means " only politically correct speech, that is".

Enough   November 10th, 2009 3:39 pm ET

Funny how FOX was the only network to catch the Mao Tse Tung comment. And you wonder why their #1.......the only station with COMPLETE news coverage!

geecee   November 10th, 2009 3:34 pm ET

Glad she spoke up as well as she did. I hope her replacement is just as good. The whack jobs at Fox need to be called out for their utter distortion of truth, their lack of fairness, guilt by association, psychotic actors like Glenn Blech who makes such a jerk of himself on each and every one of his programs, with his stupid chalkboard. A total bunch of losers and Fox wonders why the President won't appear on that "news" channel? They aren't worthy of having him. They lie, smear his name whenever they get a chance, (like every single day), they are hateful and are inciting the low-intelligence members of society who listen to them "religiously" to hate our President on a regular basis. Someone should pull their broadcasting license, or sue them for slander and libel every opportunity. Bunch of liars and incompetent fools that they are.

TCM   November 10th, 2009 3:32 pm ET

Dunn's a traitor to the American way. She's saturated with liberalism to the point where she'd throw the citizens of this country under the bus to achieve a socialist agenda...she should go, along with the Obama and the rest of the liberal goof balls.

Mike in MN   November 10th, 2009 3:29 pm ET

Why is she leaving? She should have been right at home with the radical Obama and all his radical buddies. Maybe she got a better offer from Chavez or Castro. Oh well, maybe Pfeiffer will actually call Beck and talk about all the video clips he shows of Obama and his advisors and czars praising socialist and marxist values. I like the one where Bloom, Obama's manufacturing czar says the free market system is a joke and that capitialism has to be torn down and replaced. Can't wait to see what that guy does for manufacturing and jobs.

Forget whether she stays or goes. Read the comments to this story and you'll find what's really wrong with America. Just look at JACK IN DENVER'S comments. Scary that that type of thinking even exists.

We're bitter, angry and almost hate each other if you look at what makes the commenters write what they do.

Does anyone else see what's happening here? Taking a position is one thing, having an opinion is proper...but the viciousness from any side or position doesn't nothing but breed the degradation of the good old USA.

Cut the attitude folks and find some decent way to respond.

Sad.

All you republicans....you only think about power and not what is best for the country. Lee Atwater from you beloved Reagan era first quoted Moa in a favorable light...further Obama has a better approval rating by 2 points than Reagan did at the same point in his presidency. Further Reagan supported universal health care but was a coward who bent for his party which will never support it because they will lose all their kickbacks from the insurance companies. Fact and Republicans just don't mix...I guess there "aint no fixin' stupid." There will be no landslide on 2012...the republicans and their party are an old, white dying breed and I am happy to see them all go....

Actuaklly, this was planned as a temporary appointment right from the outset.

By the way, Ms. Dunn is a Republican.

Nice, try, righties.

David in St. Louis   November 10th, 2009 1:58 pm ET

So let me get this straight...

1. Dunn calls out FOX for being communications arm of conservative/republican agenda.
2. Beck and other conservative FOX commentators say she is wrong.
3. She steps down (part of plan all along).
4. FOX and FOX-watching conservatives celebrate her departure.

If Dunn had it all wrong about FOX, why are conservative FOX-defenders the only ones cheering? Why are conservatives the only ones disagreeing with her?

Are there any conservatives out there who actually disagree with the substance of the original supposition: that FOX leans heavily to the right? Does ANYONE actually dispute this?

Why is self-examination absent from the right? Why is Dunn's statement of the obvious so controversial?

It's all about money and fear for the republicans. Money needs to flow and isn't really anyone's. Money does not belong to you or anyone. It is something we invented and does not really have ownership. It needs to flow in and out of your hands. If you can do that, you will obtain true power and status, which appears to be what republicans and those who follow the republicans so desperately want.

Remember, you can't always get what you want. Go after what you truly need. Check out: "The Soul of Money" online.

It's about time Dunn step down. Her attempt to cripple freedom of speech was detrimental to this countries founding principals. The last time this was attempted by a political party was in the 1930s prior to WWII.

The President needs to fully vetted his choices for key positions within his administration. If these folks go rogue then he has only himself to blame for any fall-out.

Usually the Presidents surround themselves with folks who they are not in conflict of thought. If this is the case, we now have two examples of some very radical thinking.

Proud to be a Liberal American   November 10th, 2009 1:28 pm ET

The biggest secret in America:

Today's GOP, George Bush's GOP, is much closer to "Soviet-style," "Mao-style" Communism than the Democratic Party ever could be.

Wall Street is much closer to Communism than it is to democracy and liberalism. Today's neocons in Washington and Wall Street know a lot about power; most Republicans who vote for these thugs and support these thugs know nothing about power.

Mao (one of the biggest thugs of all time) once said: "Power grows out of the barrel of a gun." That's the GOP; that's the military-industrial complex; that's the gun nuts in this dying nation; that's the Republican Party.

The GOP and Communism–far right and far left–much close than you think.

Grow up Republicans!

Donna   November 10th, 2009 1:28 pm ET

Yahoo!! Another socialist from this horrendous obamanation white house is history. Let's pray that more follow her to their very own socialist planet far, far away!

t22   November 10th, 2009 1:27 pm ET

Fox wins again.

Maybe she can find some inspiration from Mao.

victim of the victim of democratic hypocrisy   November 10th, 2009 1:26 pm ET

Too bad Fox and their anti American puppet, Glenn Beck, could not report the truth, but that would make them a news organization like CNN.

Drinkin Koolaid   November 10th, 2009 1:24 pm ET

Good Job Glenn. Keep up the good work. WWGD

victim of the victim of democratic hypocrisy   November 10th, 2009 1:23 pm ET

The true Maoist is a foreign billionaire who owns Fox and hires complete morons like Beck and Hannity to spread his lies in the hopes of ruining America.

Candide   November 10th, 2009 1:17 pm ET

Good. She's worthless, anyway. The only thing she seems to be good at is pitting people against one another with her little vendettas.

JM   November 10th, 2009 1:14 pm ET

Don't let the door knob hit you.

Barack reads his lies, Unions Thrive and the Economy dies.   November 10th, 2009 1:13 pm ET

Apparently Barack is not Maoist enough, she wants to live where communism thrives, she can't wait any longer. Goodbye Washington, hello Moscow, or Beijing.

Johnny DC   November 10th, 2009 1:09 pm ET

The American people want change.

You started it, Obama. Should have been more careful who you criticized. Now feel the other end of that sword.

independent   November 10th, 2009 1:09 pm ET

It appears that those who hate have more to say about this than those who don't. What does that say about you?

d1120   November 10th, 2009 1:08 pm ET

Abandon ship, mateys.....

Ken   November 10th, 2009 1:07 pm ET

There will always be people crazy enough to buy into Glen Beck's paranoid propaganda and shameful lies. As you can see from the comments on here, they are already spinning this into "a victory for FOX". I just find it interesting that any perceived trouble for Obama or his administration is considered a "victory for FOX". It's as if FOX news lovers recognize the bias against the President. Glen Beck will, of course, not be satisfied. He will find conspiracy in this just like everything. It's all part of some big plan to destroy America... one Appendix at a time. Poor Glen... all that money and no respect.

Bill   November 10th, 2009 1:05 pm ET

While not exactly the sharpest tool in the drawer, she managed to show just how unsure this administration is of itself. You don't go after the top news group with a second/third stringer. She was out of her league and knew it. Nothing but a bunch of rookies and a lousy manager. Rahm...your next!

simp   November 10th, 2009 1:05 pm ET

LOL. all the haters out here you are a sad bunch of people. This woman only told the truth all you haters are obviously fox fans. give me a break, fox new are a bunch of racist moron's this lady only spoke the truth.

Rod   November 10th, 2009 1:02 pm ET

No one ever said this was a temporary position until today. Her worship of Chairman Mao did her in. As it should be. Dont go away mad, just please go away!

Ben in VA   November 10th, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Good! We root out the commies from the government bureacracy, then we root out the Islamic militants from our military. It's time to get this thing back on track.

Ben   November 10th, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Another one bites the dust. They're dropping like flies at the White House :) .

Moderate Democrat   November 10th, 2009 12:56 pm ET

Hey, that's kind of like Palin. Temporarily holding a position, until someone qualified is found.

dave   November 10th, 2009 12:55 pm ET

It's amazing to me how the political process works in this country. every time we get a republican president it seems they stay in for 8 years. Then the kids who were 10 when they took office and the old people vote them out just for change, forgetting why we put them there in the first place..Then the democrat gets in and taxes and spends for 4 years and brings us to our senses and we put another republican in. And it just goes on and on. It is hard to believe that these socialists are running our country. Take my word-a blood bath for democrats in 2010 and a landslide loss in 2012.

Sheryl   November 10th, 2009 12:55 pm ET

God bless Anita and thanks for a job well done I am sure she will continue to help our cause, the devils (Fox/Repubs) will never win gain!!! ENOUGH!

SoTiredofRepubandFoxNews   November 10th, 2009 12:54 pm ET

A temporary position is just that. Right wing repubs and Fox News are pathetic!

jack in denver   November 10th, 2009 12:54 pm ET

Meanwhile two pro Obamma health care senators get elected, yeah those conservative victories keep comeing!!!

victim of democrat hypocrisy   November 10th, 2009 12:54 pm ET

I see that strategy of "let's take on Fox News" worked out as well as that whole "hopey-changey" thing has worked out for the rest of us.

Jeremy in Albuquerque   November 10th, 2009 12:53 pm ET

Here are some other US politicians who have studied and/or quoted Mao Zedong's politcal philosophies in recent years: Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich, and John McCain... Are these guys socialists or marxists? No, they are politicians and lifelong students of political science and political philosophy, just like Dunn. Pull your heads out people. Don't let Hannity, Limbaugh, and Fox "news" think for you. Think for yourselves. Hey, maybe study a little Mao so you'll understand what you're talking about. It won't make you a communist, I promise.

Bill in Calif   November 10th, 2009 12:52 pm ET

YOU LIBS can't see the TRUTH if it hit you in smack in the face. She's an embarrassment to the 'Administration" especially after Glenn Beck outed her admiration of Mao. (It's OK to be a lover of socialism/communism just don't make it public...yet) Sure, it was to be a temporary job but I think she had a helping shove out the door.

Gerald   November 10th, 2009 12:51 pm ET

Another BHO operative that attacked the American public, I will not miss her

Dave   November 10th, 2009 12:50 pm ET

Anita Dunn is guilt of stating the obvious; Fox News is an oxymoron. Yes, we know that Fox News is run by Republican political operatives and shamelessly panders to the far-right Republican base to boost their ratings. The best course for the White House to follow is to totally and absolutely ignore the Fox News organization. No comment, no access, no explanation.

Erik   November 10th, 2009 12:49 pm ET

Glenn Beck sucks. I am a republican and I cant stand him. So stop praising him falsly.

jack in denver   November 10th, 2009 12:48 pm ET

Conservatives so desperate they will call this a victory!

deb   November 10th, 2009 12:48 pm ET

I think I should write a book........everyone else seems to be doing that

aproudmemberoftheunpatrioticmob   November 10th, 2009 12:47 pm ET

Should have never been hired. Should have left when she made her first idiotic remarks about FOX. Should have been fired when she quoted Mao. She is one of the thugocracy that inhabits the White House and is trying to steal Americas treasure and taxes to give to the unions.

Too True For You   November 10th, 2009 12:45 pm ET

It doesn't matter that she clearly stated she was only going to hold the position temporarily.

It doesn't matter that she did so for clearly honorable reasons.

The right wing lunatic fringe will try to spin it no matter what is said.
It is what they do.
It's all they do.
Anyone who has listened to Beck, Coulter, Savage, Hannity, Limbaugh, et al is familiar with this.

File under "Sarcasm"   November 10th, 2009 12:44 pm ET

In the fine print reported by other news sources is the fact that she will stay on as an adviser to the President. I think she's moving on from the Communications Director job because she had a speech impediment. Oh, I'm sorry, that's her foot in her mouth which is a mental problem not a medical problem.

jack in denver   November 10th, 2009 12:44 pm ET

Aren't all repulicans communists? They call it the People's Republic of China, People's Republic, republicans?!?!?!?!?

Padraig   November 10th, 2009 12:44 pm ET

Another one out the door. Thank God!

luva the scissors   November 10th, 2009 12:42 pm ET

and another one bites the dust, and another on down....well you get the picture.

Republican: I only help those who can already help themselves   November 10th, 2009 12:42 pm ET

Wow, Glenn Beck predicted she would leave. Now how in the world did he figure that out? Oh yea, she stated it before she took the job.

Glenn Beck is a lunatic entertainer. And the fact that you actually take his word as truth is so so sad.

Jack   November 10th, 2009 12:42 pm ET

Thanks Glenn. Go get em Fox!

Can't stand this woman   November 10th, 2009 12:41 pm ET

Yet another example of Obama's corrupt cronies

"Obama is not Jesus, Jesus could build a cabinet"

Carlton Desmoney   November 10th, 2009 12:39 pm ET

Good riddance to another of Obama's Maoists. Now, get rid of the rest of them including Obama himself...

rachel   November 10th, 2009 12:39 pm ET

Glen beck strikes again LOL

Idiot_Pelosi   November 10th, 2009 12:39 pm ET

Hope the door doesn't hit her in the "behind" on her way out.

C. Farrell, Houston, Tx   November 10th, 2009 12:39 pm ET

I expected some people to speak negatively about Dunn's departure because if they had read her bio she herself stated she took the job temporarily because her husband is one President Obama's attorneys. PEOPLE DO YOUR RESEARCH, READ, READ.

lamuella   November 10th, 2009 12:39 pm ET

person holds a temporary position for a short while until a permanent person is found. A permanent person is found. Person leaves temporary position. Republicans declare victory? What?

Kimberly   November 10th, 2009 12:38 pm ET

Obama and his ilk just keep proving Glenn Beck right...time and time again! Go FOX!

Larry   November 10th, 2009 12:37 pm ET

Do any of you know 1 thing about this person, other than that she used Mao in a sentence? Anything? Someone please tell me something about this woman that does not involve the word Mao. Seriously – you posters need to get over yourselves. There are real fights to fight – and this aint one of them.

CB   November 10th, 2009 12:36 pm ET

Glenn Beck ousts another!

Let's hope she is the first of many Socialist-leaning staffers to step down!

Obama needs to surround himself with a couple of people who actually like the U.S.

Sea.gem   November 10th, 2009 12:35 pm ET

Her job was to throw stmes and direct heat from Obama...so she did as she told...roll in the next hate monger...

Reagan was wrong   November 10th, 2009 12:34 pm ET

Thanks, Anita, for finally saying out loud what we've all known all along about FOX "News"

Proud Member..Party of No   November 10th, 2009 12:34 pm ET

One lunatic down.....many more to go.

Yates   November 10th, 2009 12:33 pm ET

Welcome home. Its a thankless job. Good luck to Dan Pfeiffer in explaining all of the administrations consistant deviations from the truth.

Angela   November 10th, 2009 12:32 pm ET

So.....if Ms. Dunn stated when accepted the position that she would do so only for a temporary moment...why is it news that she is resigning? Why would this be a headliner?

Kyle   November 10th, 2009 12:30 pm ET

Thank God; kick these stupid Marxists out of the government; disgusting that she would praise chairman Mao, but then again, par for the course with these commies.

Change   November 10th, 2009 12:29 pm ET

Anita Dunn......GONE!!!!

DAVE   November 10th, 2009 12:29 pm ET

wow..... looks like Glenn Beck was right on the money.... she started a controversy with Fox and when the strategy back fired obama sent her packing earlier then predicted.... Maybe she can find comfort in the reading of MAO'S greatest teachings then pass them on to her newly appointed husband in Obama's crooked liitle circle... She was too big of a coward to let Beck know when he was telling lies even after he installed a direct line to the white house and only they had the number to inform him of false information that they were so willing to say on MSM channels but did not have the nads to call him directly to challenge what he was saying....... This woman and her boss are completely incompotent and are to scared to challenge what Beck says on his show....... they know what he is saying is true...

TangledThorns   November 10th, 2009 12:25 pm ET

Anita Dunn was the best thing that ever happened to FOX News. I bet the WH won't miss her.

Marion/Alabama   November 10th, 2009 12:24 pm ET

Another Obama Socialist leaving her post after touting her reverence for Mao Zedong, who was a communist leader that killed millions of his own people to further his Agenda. Once Outed it is hard to hide the truth, and The truth has set her free......

Dave   November 10th, 2009 12:20 pm ET

Good job Fox!
Another radical loony leaves the White House. Looks like Fox News won again.

Willy Brown   November 10th, 2009 12:16 pm ET

Guess she couldn't beat Fox News so she got canned.

yuri   November 10th, 2009 12:15 pm ET

We hope there are no controversies surrounding her ditching the job.

Enough   November 10th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

And not a moment too soon, Dunn was horrible and should have been replaced long ago. Her failed attempts to blame FOX news were insane.

Kevin in Ohio   November 10th, 2009 12:12 pm ET

GOOD RIDDANCE! This woman is a communist and follower of Chairman Mao. In an Unconstitutional Nixonian move, she tried to ostracize Fox News, and didn't even have the guts to talk with them. May she go back to the comfortable confines of the extreme left wing hatemongers.

Bluebonnet   November 10th, 2009 12:12 pm ET

Whew! Good thing she's gone. Go find Mao – the one you look up to!

Fed Up   November 10th, 2009 12:11 pm ET

Another failed Obama pick for his administration, just add her to his list of really bad picks....................Don't trust Obama with our health care, it will be nothing but another Failed Obama experiment, that we can't afford.

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   November 10th, 2009 12:10 pm ET

She's done a good job so far. Hate to see her go.
