Oprah and Palin are revealing some details of their big interview.
Oprah and Palin are revealing some details of their big interview.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin enjoyed her highly-anticipated sit down with talk show host Oprah Winfrey so much that the two went "way over time," the former Alaska governor wrote on her Facebook Page.

But Palin gave few details of what the two discussed for more than hour, saying only that Winfrey was "very hospitable and gracious."

The former Republican vice presidential nominee also praised the show's studio audience, which she said was "full of warm, energized and (no doubt) curious viewers."

Meanwhile, Winfrey was a little more forthcoming with details of the interview, revealing in a Web video late Wednesday that the two "talked about everything."

"We talked about inside the campaign, what it felt like when she was first asked to be vice president. We talked about Bristol, the pregnancy. We talked about Trig, her baby. We talked about Levi Johnston. We talked about her marriage…there's nothing we didn't talk about."

The interview will air on Monday, a day before Palin's memoir "Going Rogue: An American Life" is released.

Did Palin tell Winfrey which Russia she sees from her house, or if she is better than her Alaskans's 2nd grade

lola   November 12th, 2009 12:27 pm ET

This woman is just 'politics as usual.' She's always bragging about her 'values'. I wonder if her statement about 'death committes' deciding the fates of the elderly is part of her 'values". She frightened so many elderly people and had them so upset and scared over her comment. She should be ashamed of herself for trying to provoke fear in the elderly just for her politics sake. I think she needs to rethink and work on her 'values'.

I am an elderly person and I didn't appreciate it at all!

Mark   November 12th, 2009 12:27 pm ET

Oh no I hope the Obamabots are not counting on Oprah to lead the country now.

The Other Michael in Houston   November 12th, 2009 12:26 pm ET

Did they talk about if Sarah reads her magazine?

dick delson   November 12th, 2009 12:25 pm ET

I have long been a fan of Oprah and have provided her many guests over the years. I can understand her wanting to talk to Sarah Palin, but it's important to understand that Palin is beyond dumb. The right had better come up with some people who have something in the brain department, or 2012 will be a bigger disaster than 2008

vic bullard   November 12th, 2009 12:25 pm ET

Who cares about Sarah Palin...the quitter needs to just go away!

Ron   November 12th, 2009 12:24 pm ET

You betcha! As long as she is the center of attention Sara Palin will be there. I don't think there is a more egotistical woman on the face of the earth. She is a disgrace to all professional women everywhere.

suefromALASKA   November 12th, 2009 12:22 pm ET

I'm sure Oprah was "very hospitable and gracious". Oprah is a class act; Sarah IS NOT.

Sarah is still in middle-school mode – beauty queen, back-stabbing, hateful, very spiteful. She hasn't yet shown any grace or class.

Everyone in Alaska is ecstatic that she is not longer our governor.

Florence   November 12th, 2009 12:22 pm ET

Oh boy, how exiting. We can’t wait till Monday. Can we please please have at least a preview? Don’t tease us CNN. This is the highlight of our life. Who cares about wars, bad economy, unemployments, foreclosures, pandemics, terrorists… Oprah and Palin “big interview”, that’s what we’ve been waiting for!

Kim in Atlanta   November 12th, 2009 12:21 pm ET

Wow, I can't believe Oprah had this clown on her show. Palin is an absolute embarrassment to all women.did Oprah ask her about her snarky comments pertaining to community organizers?! This lady is a loser, and will get everything that she deserves!

Gloria   November 12th, 2009 12:21 pm ET

Who cares what Sarah Palin has to say.....she is not a smart woman and has no class!!

Alan Goddard   November 12th, 2009 12:21 pm ET

In other words a forum to let her grow an image without getting into questions that tell us if she is competent. Winfrey was a journalist–I hope she pressed Palin intead of giving her a platform to present more nonsense.

Roger   November 12th, 2009 12:19 pm ET

Nothing like bimbo speaking to bimbo.

inofritzn   November 12th, 2009 12:19 pm ET

Wow someone on the other side can actually talk to Palin without spewing a bunch of insults? Way to remind the left about class Oprah.

Tony in Maine   November 12th, 2009 12:18 pm ET

Very Convenient   November 12th, 2009 12:16 pm ET

Sarah Palin is a user. During the election campaign, she refused to appear on Oprah's show. Who can refuse to appear on Oprah's show? But now she wants to promote her book so conveniently she willingly appear. Oh for the love of money and self-promotion. Very conservative.

RTB   November 12th, 2009 12:16 pm ET

Why in the world would any one want to interview the Alaskan Air Head?

Eyes Wide Open   November 12th, 2009 12:15 pm ET

Alright, got my daily dose of Palin-Ticker. Now I can get some work done.

Let the hate begin....

Jon   November 12th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

Oprah should go on the view when barbara decides to retire. A one-woman show just isn't as intriguing after everyone copied her format. There are so many woman TV show hosts now.

So Oprah, move to the view, say goodbye to your show! It's format is old.

Steve in Kentucky   November 12th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

Why Oprah gave this quitter/loser a platform like this I can't understand.

Still, if it'll help this brainless wonder capture the 2012 Rethuglican nomination, it'll all be worthwhile.

gertrude Martins   November 12th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

I am sure Sara Palin is not a calculating Mean creature. She might not be well read and polished, but she is certainly energetic and comes across as honest. Are her openions based on alI the facts and unbiased? I do not know. Is she ready to be the President of United States? That is the question to be answered by the voters alone.

jj   November 12th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

Palin is not news – or interesting.
I'll pass.

Kelly From Canada   November 12th, 2009 12:12 pm ET

Interviewing people who have books written for them? What could possibly be interesting about this media attention seeker?
Let me guess..she can see Canada from Chicago? This is why I will never watch Oprah again.

CBR   November 12th, 2009 12:12 pm ET

I am sure this will be watched by thousands. However, is this really news? Just how far do we get from what is a puff piece to what is really important to people everyday.

Lisa M.   November 12th, 2009 12:10 pm ET

Can't wait. Yawn.

sherry   November 12th, 2009 12:09 pm ET

Of course Oprah was gracious......Oprah is top class.
Sarah could take some lessons from her on how to act like an adult and a lady

MADDOGJL   November 12th, 2009 12:08 pm ET

Go Sarah go!!! As long as we REAL Americans (democrats) have you, we will ALWAYS remain in power!!! Yeah!!!!

carlos, THAT one   November 12th, 2009 12:06 pm ET

Scott, Mizzou   November 12th, 2009 12:05 pm ET

Is Oprah looking for a spot on the Comedy Channel? We all need a good long laugh during these tough times and I am sure Sarah Palin, as usual, will deliver. If she ever goes on a comedy tour, then I will see that show.

johnrj08   November 12th, 2009 12:04 pm ET

Hard to believe that Oprah Winfrey knowingly allowed Palin to use her in order to promote her ultra-conservative 5-chapter booklet on how to be an intellectual vacuum..

Charlotte   November 12th, 2009 12:04 pm ET

Who cares. Oprah has really sealed her tabloid status by sitting down with this illiterate twit.

Ted from Calif.   November 12th, 2009 12:03 pm ET

Maybe the interview will present some insight on why Sarah Palin is so loved by the christian right. The most obvious reason seems to be that she is an attractive women who stimulates those who have trouble keeping their zippers zipped. Maybe some other hidden talent will be revealed.

Ken Williams   November 12th, 2009 12:03 pm ET

Gee,better late than never huh? It would have been terrible if Palin would've been given a fair interview during the campaign.

Cheryl from MN   November 12th, 2009 12:02 pm ET

:P Palin stinks!

SocialismBad   November 12th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

Why is Palin boosting Oprah's ratings with her appearance? Oprah's audience will not buy her book. Oprah used her show and celebrity status to push Obama down our throats. Reward your supporters before rewarding your enemies. Poor judgment Sarah!

Larry   November 12th, 2009 11:58 am ET

Didn't the Right Wing boycott Oprah not long ago after purportedly "snubbing" Mrs. Palin? Oprah is apparently "gracious and hospitable" now that Mrs. Palin needs a microphone. Quite comical.

John   November 12th, 2009 11:56 am ET

Oprah is underhanded and a hypocrit who only did this to harm SP.

lisa   November 12th, 2009 11:55 am ET

GEE, thanks Oprah
Sarah Palin needed more exposure.
She's hurting for money. That is all we needed. Poor women

Bob Smith   November 12th, 2009 11:54 am ET

Palin is not news why does anyone care and why in the world would Oprah have her on the show?

I voted for the ticket but It's over stick a fork in her she's done. Let her rest in peace or shall I say let her rest in pieces.

Sandy`   November 12th, 2009 11:53 am ET

I do not find Palin newsworthy and I will NOT be watching Oprah if she is on the show.

Mike   November 12th, 2009 11:53 am ET

Well By Golly this big citie Chicago isn't Real America sorry folks but your all Obama loving Commies

Tina, California   November 12th, 2009 11:52 am ET

I cannot wait to see the show. Very interested in what was talked about and how Palin handled herslef.

I am not a Palin hater, but I truly feel that she is not ready to be POTUS.
She should stay focused on her children and grandchildren.

Joe Unger, San Francisco   November 12th, 2009 11:50 am ET

Why would Oprah want to talk about the First Dude's prowness in the bedroom? Or is Oprah blowing smoke again?

JG   November 12th, 2009 11:49 am ET

I guess it went overtime because Oprah was constantly forced to ask her to "say again". Could you possibly rephrase what you just said? It was just a Yes or No question! Oprah was probably thinking: OMG, and this woman could have been our President!!!!

Ohio Man   November 12th, 2009 11:49 am ET

Wouldn't it be funny if Oprah offered Palin 20 million to go away live on TV.. hmmmm you know she would say "you betcha " i'll take the money ..and run.. as we have seen already

Bill   November 12th, 2009 11:48 am ET

Palin is such an airhead... Its crazy that people actually like her.
There will always be idiots in the world.

Loup Garou 782   November 12th, 2009 11:47 am ET

It will be interesting to see how much of what Ms. Palin had to say is edited out.
After the program is aired Monday we will see if Ms Palin still considers that winfrey woman "hospitable and gracious.

Beverly in NC   November 12th, 2009 11:47 am ET

Won't be watching...I already know more than I want to about the obnoxious, extremist, fake values, dumb as dirt Palin. Nobody cares about the drama she creates to get attention and her book we all know she didn't write. Palin has gotten far more attention that she deserves. She ranks right up there with the former Miss California bimbo, the incredibly stupid former Miss Teen SC, and the nutjob Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Why don't we have focus and stories on intelligent women who contrinute to society, have real family values, and make a positive difference and influence in the lives of others?

Bill   November 12th, 2009 11:47 am ET

Who cares?

tisgoogle   November 12th, 2009 11:46 am ET

Sorry Oprah wont be watching your show on this day!

Aaron   November 12th, 2009 11:46 am ET

Thanks for the plug, CNN. I'll be sure I'm otherwise occupied on Monday.

texas conservative   November 12th, 2009 11:43 am ET

Why does Palin still get air time? Geraldine ran for VP in the 80's and we heard crickets......Palin dismantled her own party because of her run for office.

Republicans are the American Taliban   November 12th, 2009 11:43 am ET

They talked about Sarah coming to work for Oprah as a secretary ...as soon as she finishes correspondence school on the internet...

KathyC in MInnesota   November 12th, 2009 11:43 am ET

Oprah should ask Sarah Palin if she really believed the President palled around with terrorists. I would be willing to see the reaction on her face and that of the audience.

Dorothy Goldstein   November 12th, 2009 11:42 am ET

I wouldn't buy Palin's book if it was the last book on the shelf. It would be a waste of my precious time. And I certainly do not plan on watching Oprah when Palin is on. I have no interest in what she has to say. Her political talking is all negative. She has nothing to say. And if she ever runs for President, we would be in big trouble.

This is all a waste of Oprah's time and everyone's time. Palin is like a cartoon character.

pistachio   November 12th, 2009 11:40 am ET

Why isn't she home taking of her kids??? Why did she bother having them if she is jaunting all over the country??? And who makes the money in that family to pay the bills? When she was on the campaign trail her husband was with her. Doesn't he work?? What a joke that family is!!

Fair is Fair   November 12th, 2009 11:39 am ET

No news article on O-blah-blah rejecting ALL of the Afghanistan options presented to him?

Once again, the community organizer votes "present".

Thank God we have a Palin story, though.

Brett   November 12th, 2009 11:38 am ET

oh for the love of the baby jesus I wish people would stop acting like this person is worth a minute of our time. Can we please have a moratorium on this twit, John and Kate, lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, and any of the other idiots that you guys love to cover because they are train wrecks.

LacrosseMom   November 12th, 2009 11:37 am ET

I think it is very gracious of Oprah, to invite Sarah Palin to her show. Oprah does not have to; she is one of the few enlightened souls in television who can treat people with differing views..... with respect. A rare thing these days.

Bravo for those who reach across party lines and ideologies to seek understanding and foster goodwill.

SCOTT   November 12th, 2009 11:35 am ET

It is hard to conceive the Palin will run for Prez as a "rogue" or outsider after sitting for an interview with Oprah. Oprah is the anti-rogue.

psmail2   November 12th, 2009 11:35 am ET

Sarah, why bother? Since you have fumbled the ball for the GOP, Michele Bachmann has picked it up and will score.

Mary Ann Bohn   November 12th, 2009 11:33 am ET

I am sorry to hear people of such stature as Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters giving a platform to the likes of a Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin's platform is lies, deceit and anger.. She incites fear and doubt in her followers with her "death panel" and personal hatred for President Obama. She does all this under the auspices of her loving "God" Sarah is one sick , dangerous and stupid individual that receives way too much media hype.

Mary Ann from Florida

Tom in FL   November 12th, 2009 11:33 am ET

This is a good format for her. If she says anything really stupid, it can be edited out.

Niki Birdsflight   November 12th, 2009 11:33 am ET

Oprah's style is going down the chute. If she can spend a whole hour talking to Palin on personal issues, it makes me assume she had no one else to interview. What happend to the riveting guests and the magnetic environment? Gone in my opinion. Her show has gone flat.

Susan   November 12th, 2009 11:30 am ET

Have we not heard enough about this dumb has been quitter govenor from Alaska? CNN why are you so enthralled with her? I certainly am not and I happen to be a lifelong Republican.
Susan from Florida

Scott   November 12th, 2009 11:29 am ET

CNN: Seriously. This woman is on the political ticker EVERY DAY. This is ridiculous.

keep hope alive   November 12th, 2009 11:23 am ET

Palin's book a best seller as Sean Hannity said??? We'll you lie!! They are selling it for 4.97. I wouldn't buy or read her book with those pack of lies and bigot smears if she paid me.

Tony   November 12th, 2009 11:22 am ET

It's good to see that some people are not so critical and judgemental of others based on their political affiliation. Oprah an avid support of Prez Obama can have a non-biased interview with Palin.....maybe she should work for CNN!

Marilyn   November 12th, 2009 11:22 am ET

Two women I have absolutely no interest in hearing from or about.

Kitchen Police   November 12th, 2009 11:20 am ET

Did Oprah ask Palin if she was really a lizard woman in disguise?

Oh Boy!!!???   November 12th, 2009 11:20 am ET

I hope she announces a Palin-Prejean Ticket.

That would be so lovely, wouldn't it?

Fitz in Texas   November 12th, 2009 11:18 am ET

Haven't watched Oprah for a very very long time, but I sure will on Monday when Palin will be her guest.

jeff   November 12th, 2009 11:17 am ET

Here we go again! Stop giving this moron press!!,Then she'll fade away!

Stephan Srock   November 12th, 2009 11:15 am ET

The truth of the matter is that Palin is using Winfrey to "get me back in the limelight again" ploy, and Winfrey knows it but also knows that it means more bucks for her show and pocketbook to allow this to happen. Ahhhh, the almighty buck!

John in Tampa   November 12th, 2009 11:14 am ET

Psst! Sarah Palin was not born in the United States. Pass it on.

ThinkAgain   November 12th, 2009 11:12 am ET

Doesn't Palin realize that Oprah endorsed and is friendly with President Obama, who sat on the same board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, as William Ayers?!?

So now Palin is "palling around" with terrorists!!!!

Ann Lord   November 12th, 2009 11:12 am ET

Show me the money, show me the money.......Oprah, where is your soul...........oh yeah, you sold it.....Palin never had one...............

Tracy   November 12th, 2009 11:12 am ET

To be honest – who really cares......one hopes to make more money the other increase ratings. We all know the questions that needed to be asked were not.

RAG   November 12th, 2009 11:09 am ET

So now that they have talked about everyting, there is no reason for CNN to ever mention this human historical footnote to the death of the Republican Party ever again.

C. Farrell, Houston, Tx   November 12th, 2009 11:09 am ET

I guess Oprah kept it simple and asked Palin the easy questions. Fox News is even distancing themselves from Palin after her coin controversey which means she is an embarrassment to the Republican party. Everybody now knows Palin gets all her misinformation from bloggers and does not read and do research before running off at the mouth.

Carmen, Miami FL   November 12th, 2009 11:08 am ET

I don't care about Palin, and her interviews just seem so disingenuous and staged. I won't be watching this. Frankly I think it'll turn into a fluff interview, where she'll get to lie answering the "hard" questions. No thanks.

Susan   November 12th, 2009 11:07 am ET

PLEASE ... enough with the all the Sarah Palin coverage.

Excuse me, but she brings nothing to the table. Yikes, I forgot ... she does have a couple of years of governorship experience under her belt, but then she "skiped out" on her responsibilities.

In selecting her as his running mate, John McCain proved he cared little about our (and his) country!

yuri   November 12th, 2009 11:07 am ET

Palin's incoherent rant is what we are afraid of, when she is being interviewed by celebs in the fifth estate.

Proud Member..Party of No   November 12th, 2009 11:05 am ET

This doesn't sound like good news to the lunatic democrats who constantly try to paint Palin as some sort of wacko. It scares them to death that she just might come across as smart, fresh, bold and capable. And with Obama turning out to be such a loser it may scare them even more so.

the southern progressive   November 12th, 2009 11:05 am ET

i wonder if they talked about the "death panels"

Palin Schmalin   November 12th, 2009 11:04 am ET

Oh come on, CNN..... Get this GARBAGE off the Political Ticker. At best, it belongs in the entertainment section. Oprah is not a politician. Palin is no longer a politician, never was much of a politician, and will never be again. You are making me sick with this rediculous coverage every time she farts and pushing me to get my news elsewhere.

Jules G   November 12th, 2009 11:04 am ET

But did they talk about why she would not interview Sarah Palin on her show during the election? Didn't want her to upstage Obama and Queen Oprahs party of choice- the democrats for all of you who don't know which way Oprah swings.

jaye   November 12th, 2009 11:04 am ET

I'm ashamed of Oprah for giving the biggest liar in politics the chance to promote herself, her book, and her lies on the Oprah show.
Shame on you, Oprah.

And, Lou Dobbs is headed to Fox News so he'll have free reign to keep spouting his hate against minorities.

mike   November 12th, 2009 11:03 am ET

I cannot believe that oprah is paying for this fool to be on the show

PK California   November 12th, 2009 11:03 am ET

That is one Oprah show I will not watch! I have no interest in seeing, hearing, or even honoring Palin with my presence. The woman pretends to be an authority on EVERYTHING, when she knows NOTHING! She was a gimmic chosen by McCain who always had and eye for a pretty face. Biggest mistake he ever made. It cost him the presidency and the GOP, that continues to back her, will lose the respect of their members. The smart ones are refusing to have her campaign for them. They all got in office. Fess up, GOP, and tewl her thanks, but no thanks. She's leaning Independent anyway.

lisa   November 12th, 2009 11:03 am ET

Ellen and even Paris Hilton have had good times talking to Oprah. But that doesn't make me want them as leader of our Country either.

greg   November 12th, 2009 11:01 am ET

Who cares?

Peter s   November 12th, 2009 11:01 am ET

Did you talk about how what makes you lie and bad mouth others?. If not nothing of a substance came from that meeting Serah!

Ethan   November 12th, 2009 11:01 am ET

FIVE CHAPTERS!!!!! Her book is only FIVE chapters long! And ZERO policy. What a fool. Nevermind political ideology, how can anyone with a pulse take her seriously for one second?

Ajay Jain   November 12th, 2009 10:59 am ET

Just FIVE Chapters will not do Palin any good even with an Oprah introduction!!!

Big John   November 12th, 2009 10:58 am ET

Oprah no doubt had to ask very simple questions that she could understand. Off the table were questions like where she gets her news...

Splat!~   November 12th, 2009 10:57 am ET

I, for one, appreciate the job CNN does in the almost daily articles of Ms. Palin. The public needs to be constantly remined of her ignorance!~

kgeukes Michigan   November 12th, 2009 10:55 am ET

I guess Oprah needs more viewers but this is not the way to get them. This witch is coming to GR, MI and I have no desire to see her or read her coloring book...What kind of book only has 5 chapters?? I hope she makes no money and that people will wake up and realize that SP is taking them for a ride!!!!!!

Janie   November 12th, 2009 10:50 am ET

Sorry Oprah, Sarah Palin has used up her 15 minutes of fame. I'm sick to death of her. She is narrow minded, deceitful and will stop at nothing to promote herself. Please let this be the last we hear of her.

susanj   November 12th, 2009 10:49 am ET

I'm hoping Oprah asked her why she lied about death panels. I'm hoping she asked her why she doesn't believe in dinosaurs and why she kills wolves. Although as much as Iike Oprah I would never watch th interview. I can't stand the woman.

Robin   November 12th, 2009 10:47 am ET

Looking forward to seeing the interview. It sounds (much to the dismay of the libs) that it went very well.

Michelle   November 12th, 2009 10:45 am ET

Did you talk about her lying? How about the comment last week that it was an Obama plot to get "In God We Trust" moved on the new dollar coin, when it was Republicans who approved the change 5 years ago? I'd love to hear someone call out this woman on her problems with telling truth from fiction to garner support from people who obviously don't care about truth either, just catchy lies that make them feel good about hating Obama. Maybe Fox, which called her on it, will actually have someone honest enough to ask her a tough question about something, or even an easy question that she will answer truthfully. Not that would be rogue behavior for Sarah Palin. That and her actually apologizing for some of the wicked things she has put out there over the past year. Nah...that wouldn't be rogue, it would be human.

A. Goodwin   November 12th, 2009 10:44 am ET

This should be an interesting show. Intellent woman (Oprah) meets idot (Palin). I'm sure she had the quesitons in advance – you betcha!

Ray   November 12th, 2009 10:43 am ET

Oprah fell in love with her just like many of us Democrats and Independents. Palin 2012 !!!!

Patsy, Texas   November 12th, 2009 10:43 am ET

This is one interview I will gladly avoid.

idesign   November 12th, 2009 10:42 am ET

Shouting “Sarah Palin” in a room full of libs gets the same result as shouting “fire” in a movie theater. Screaming panic.

"very hospitable and gracious"   November 12th, 2009 10:42 am ET

respect for Oprah, none

victim of republican greed   November 12th, 2009 10:41 am ET

Will the wingnuts watch this mainstream media program?

Beverly   November 12th, 2009 10:39 am ET

I wonder if they talked about Palin's despicable practice of having wolves run down and scared nearly to death, and then shot from helicopters (sometimes left writhing in pain). Palin is a gross and inhumane person who has taken the practice of lying and inciting hatred to a new level.

gary davis Harbor Oregon   November 12th, 2009 10:38 am ET

why would Oprah want this idiot on any show other than Jerry Springers show .. Palin is a fluckish fool and a lier and con artist :)

I don't care about Sarah Palin. She's just another right-wingnut with nothing intelligent to say.

Hopefully Palin will point out what a moron John McCain was for picking her as a running mate.

cindy   November 12th, 2009 10:31 am ET

I am sure that Palin is a good mother, wife, hunter and all but she is not ready to lead this country. She knows how to stir things up to her advantage and get some of the people to maybe believe in her but I am not one who is buying into her way of thinking. I am glad that some of the viewers of the Oprah show got their wish that Oprah finally has given her the time of day. Now her book will sell like crazy and she can now get all the money that will be needed for her campaign in the not so distant future. One thing I will give her credit for is that she can do math exceptionally well. The people of Alaska should be proud that their ex govenor gave up and decided to fatten her pocket book instead.

nadine   November 12th, 2009 10:31 am ET

This is the "monster" John McCain created and it blew up in his face!

a canuck   November 12th, 2009 10:30 am ET

Who cares ???

yen   November 12th, 2009 10:29 am ET

I know that Oprah will conduct a fair and balanced interview. I can't wait to hear what Palin has to say . She will do alright if she stops blaming others for all the ills in her life.

ConsiderThis-FL   November 12th, 2009 10:28 am ET

Did they also talk about the money that both of them are going to make, which is the reason for the interview in the first place? Oprah is a shrewd business woman and Palin is a gluttonous opportunist. "Cha-ching!"

Casy   November 12th, 2009 10:27 am ET

CNN

What is it with your obsession with Palin......

Fools and their freedoms are soon parted   November 12th, 2009 10:27 am ET

Please, these two belong in the entertainment blog. They are both all about themselves.

K Garrod   November 12th, 2009 10:27 am ET

WOW Oprah has lost it for sure, or as they say jumped the shark?
I have lost a lot of respect for her with this coming interview. Palin is what is wrong with this country, too many people who only care about themselves and that goes for Oprah now. This is shocking considering she endorsed Obama. Yes i know we need to know our enemy, but come on do we really need to know more of this messed up loser. shame on you Oprah. shame on you.

G SMITH   November 12th, 2009 10:27 am ET

I am sure Sarah Palin did a great job in the interview with Oprah. I know the loser liberals are going to say something hateful and negative about this interview because that is who they are. Sarah Palin is not going anywhere ,she is a force that will bring the Republican Party back into power for many years ahead

GWB2012   November 12th, 2009 10:23 am ET

Sarah – Oprah wouldn't give you the time of day during the election. I think YOU are the gracious one. You're a class act, as I wouldn't give any media outlet the time of day if I were you. You go girl!

J.C. - Independent 4 Public Option   November 12th, 2009 10:22 am ET

Will General Petraeus sit tight looking at Palin run for the White House? I doubt it. It is too bad that he is totally not interested in running 2012. A ph.d. in international relations from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, he will be an ideal candidate for GOP any time. But I respect his decision for not running. I am sure many will draft him to run later. Where can you find a top diplomat with rigorous military training? That's why he could turn Iraq around.

Hall   November 12th, 2009 10:20 am ET

It appears that Oprah let this impersonator off the hook, I surely thought Oprah would pour that bucket of water on the wicked witch of Alaska.....

What really confuses me is that this THING from Alaska...... and even her followers seem to blame others for the way she's viewed by the MAJORITY of the population.....

I also heard Michelle (Second in Line Nut Case) Bachman accuse the Media of trying to destroy the wicked witch of Alaska...Remember a guy name John Edwards......?

This guy destroyed himself by HIS ACTIONS, maybe the thing from Alaska and her followers should think about what Sarah says and does in terms of how she's viewed by the Majority of the population..!

Mark   November 12th, 2009 10:18 am ET

Palin will give Oprah a huge ratings boost.

Steve from AK   November 12th, 2009 10:18 am ET

Are you kidding me? Oprah and Sarah in the same room...what a sight to see! I am ALMOST tempted to watch the show....but have no fear, I am not going rogue.

ross berg-buffalo ny   November 12th, 2009 10:14 am ET

Good for Sarah. It certainly will help hype sales of her book which I'm guessing is the primary reason she did it??

For her sake let's hope it's a far cry from the disasterous Katie Couric sessions!! Hard to imagine it could be that bad!!

rita   November 12th, 2009 10:14 am ET

Give it a rest she's toast, lost, not credible, liar, hate monger, loose canyon, way out there, twilight zone, and gone....if you don't know Canter is announcing to be the GOP select not you, Mrs Kiss of Death!

slipthalo   November 12th, 2009 10:13 am ET

I heard last night this 'highly anticipated' book is all of 5 chapters long. Whoa, children's books are bigger than that.

Edgar   November 12th, 2009 10:12 am ET

I usually do not watch Oprah, but kudos to her and Gov. Palin. I cant wait to see the interview.

Larry   November 12th, 2009 10:11 am ET

Who Cares what Palin says

Palin is only trying to promote herself and a book she did not write

See Spot Run

See Spot chase Sally

See Sally laugh

A first grade reader would be more interesting than anything Palin might say

Oprah Fan   November 12th, 2009 10:10 am ET

I, for one, think I will skip this episode. I don't think I could handle the imbalance of the conversation between Winfrey's keen intellect and Palin's empty brain. :-)

Kate   November 12th, 2009 10:10 am ET

Don't care what they discussed or what they talked about, I do not intended to watch Oprah, I give Oprah a "F" for continuing to give this woman any attention........just goes to show you they are both in it for the Money........Palin needs to go home to Alaska and take care of her family and stop wasting Americans time with her lies and her Hate......

killbucket   November 12th, 2009 10:09 am ET

Oprah has an audience to please, and Sarah's a fool to give the interview...O will not want to risk trying to "rehab" Sarah, so that means only one light for the interview: Bad.

Carnell From The Motor City!   November 12th, 2009 10:08 am ET

...And Yet There's More HypocriCNN, Wolf "Hound" Blitzer Sarah Palin Nonsense. There Is Great News, That "Bionic Bigot" Lou Dobb...Dobb...Dobbs Is Leaving CNN.

mk   November 12th, 2009 10:07 am ET

Smart women watch Oprah. We know that Palin is not fit for the office of President. She is a beauty queen, with rehearsed answers who can talk her way around some issues but she is not the brightest lit bulb. She is also a QUITTER and quitters never win.

Debbie from VA   November 12th, 2009 10:07 am ET

Another day another Palin report. My goodness why the obsession CNN? Isn't there any other political news? How is that Rangel investigation going?

Tania   November 12th, 2009 10:06 am ET

Wonder what Oprah's real thougts were about this. Like talking to a child? That's insulting to children, eh? Still - watching and listening to a train wreck.

me happy- at 4:20 each day   November 12th, 2009 10:05 am ET

Can somebody shut this woman up please!!! You pick which one.

Jerry   November 12th, 2009 10:02 am ET

I am sure the news spin will be how the big O chewed her up for he man BHO

bill   November 12th, 2009 10:02 am ET

Sarah Palin is an idiot who did not have the intelligence to write her own book without a ghost writer and Oprah is no better for having her on the show to promote the book.

wi liberal   November 12th, 2009 10:02 am ET

But I wonder what Oprah would have said if she really spoke her truth!

Conti_59   November 12th, 2009 10:01 am ET

Can't wait to see the interview. Oprah is phenomenal when it comes to talking to her guests. She's no nonsense and the Queen of morning talk shows. I hope she was able to get some simple truths and stay away from jibberish.

Michael   November 12th, 2009 10:00 am ET

How disappointing that Winfrey would endorse an anti-intellectual, self-serving flake like Palin. Not a good role model for women.

Larry S   November 12th, 2009 9:58 am ET

I look forward to the interview . . . it could be very interesting.

Nelson Colorado Springs Co.   November 12th, 2009 9:57 am ET

Slow day for CNN

Mark   November 12th, 2009 9:54 am ET

Whoopee, great. We get to see Airhead Palin insert BOTH feet into her mouth this time.

T'SAH from Virginia   November 12th, 2009 9:54 am ET

I BETCHA Oprah did not ask the HARD QUESTIONS – Like, why did you say President Obama was "Palling around with terrorists" even though she knew that was not true!!!

Or, "why do you believe the 'small pockets of America' is where true Americans live only"???

So, now I am being forced to watch the show just to see how tough the questions really were... Oh DARN!!!

J.P.   November 12th, 2009 9:53 am ET

Go easy hippies... you're looking at your next two-term president.
Don't blow an O-ring.

Who put the twit in twitter? Sarah!   November 12th, 2009 9:52 am ET

I wonder if Oprah asked her how she comes up with all those off-the-wall names for her kids. More drama from the Wasilla Hillbillies ?

Rick McDaniel   November 12th, 2009 9:51 am ET

Oprah likes to know as much as she can, about topics of interest to her viewers.

Kevin Leo (Jonesboro, GA)   November 12th, 2009 9:49 am ET

I am soooo ready for this person to just go away!!!

Pragmatic   November 12th, 2009 9:49 am ET

Hope there will be some tough questions: The answers she gave to the easy questions about the newspapers she read, the Supreme Court decisions and the job of a VP were pretty embarrassing last year. Maybe there won't be any live turkeys slaughtered in the back ground.

joe blow   November 12th, 2009 9:49 am ET

sounds like the puff interview i anticipated from opie. sarah palin is a clown.

Mike   November 12th, 2009 9:48 am ET

oh darn, I'm scheduled to clean the lint trap out the day the interview airs....

Jeff   November 12th, 2009 9:44 am ET

The only thing that I am looking forward to is Sarah Palin on the ticket for 2012! Your are an amazing woman and I feel you will do the Country Proud!!!

Mike   November 12th, 2009 9:43 am ET

Palin's the best. Keep your head of Sarah. If everyone in America was like you, your country would be in much better shape than it is today.

Michael   November 12th, 2009 9:42 am ET

Well, I know one channel that won't have anything intersting or Intelligent to watch in that time slot.
Why are continuing to follow to this airhead?

john m   November 12th, 2009 9:42 am ET

Oh Gee wiz i guess I will simply have to forget that interview. i will just do my own at home i have a brick I can put into a chair and it will be just as informative as Palin!

Scott, Tucson   November 12th, 2009 9:42 am ET

I wonder if Oprah is having second thoughts about backing the wrong person for the White House?

David from VA   November 12th, 2009 9:42 am ET

I can only ask....why? I guess like most freak shows...it's good for ratings. I can't stand to hear Palin talk....way too painful. She tries too hard to come across as this "bad ass" and it's such crap. And that book title? How about "Gone Fringe"? I'll never lose that image of her doing that crazy chanting crap in that church...., now that's what we need in office!

DJ   November 12th, 2009 9:42 am ET

Of course Oprah is a nice lady Palin. Did you deserve it after all the nasty things you did during the election process? No?!

Oprah is a lady, so maybe you need to take some lessons from her. On second thought, stay the way you are so we can elect a more qualified President.

Stacie   November 12th, 2009 9:42 am ET

Wait...I thought Oprah was part of the "gotcha media" that has treated little Sarah so poorly. Oh, that's only when she can't answer basic questions and makes herself sound like a complete bimbo.

scott Austin   November 12th, 2009 9:42 am ET

Will Palin ever go away?

inofritzn   November 12th, 2009 9:40 am ET

Wow someone on the other side can actually talk to Palin without spewing a bunch of insults? Way to remind the left about class Oprah.

cara   November 12th, 2009 9:39 am ET

Note to Oprah: Please take a tip from your wise boyfriend Steadman who says: "What you focus on expands."

Giving Sarah Palin a platform to continue this xenophobic parade across the landscape of American history is utterly wrong. Giving her precious air time and access to your audience just allows the myth of her credibility to "expand" - she is David Duke in sheep's clothing and maybe worse. Please use your editorial judgement and pull the plug on this episode.

lucy   November 12th, 2009 9:37 am ET

I guess this mean she must have answered well or Oprah was wimpy with her follow-up questions and let her go easy. Oprah is no Larry King or Barbara Walters after all.

Wayne   November 12th, 2009 9:37 am ET

Today's CNN Sarah Palin story!!!!!
What would we do without you.
Kiss Kiss!

Olivia   November 12th, 2009 9:35 am ET

I'm disappointed in oprah......could care less about Palin, as most of the nation agrees. She's a worthless twit.

Lydia Heller, Rockwood, Tn   November 12th, 2009 9:33 am ET

After years & years of watching cnn i now bid you goodbye. Lou dobbs was the only reason our family watched cnn and we will follow him wherever he goes. You have lost a good honest man that we could trust to tell the truth and only the truth.

Mike   November 12th, 2009 9:32 am ET

Surprise, surprise – it's coming the day before her book comes out.....Palin's views are shared by a small minority in this country. As a result – she will NEVER be elected to any high office position. If she is the Republican candidate for Pres, SHE WILL LOSE!!

Ed, Santa Fe, NM   November 12th, 2009 9:29 am ET

two egomaniacs and one brain..... i wouldn't watch it if you paid me.

sam   November 12th, 2009 9:23 am ET

Must be something for Oprah to interview the BIGGEST Loser

simp   November 12th, 2009 9:22 am ET

i just don't understand why Oprah would have this woman on her show. she has to be the biggest liar not to mention the most negative woman that's even allowed air time today. Why give her this much air time all she is going to do lie. I'm very dissapointed that Oprah gave her this much exposure she is a nit wit that gets enough exposure through CNN now Oprah? But most important, NOBODY wants to hear or see her.

Mamanomia   November 12th, 2009 9:22 am ET

I'm really trying to care...really, I am..but it's not coming along very well.

strong   November 12th, 2009 9:20 am ET

Totally irrelevant. Bubble-gum dialogue for the stupid masses.

Listen to something intelligent instead.

Laurie   November 12th, 2009 9:18 am ET

Another day-another Sarah Palin ticker item. I'm going to start keeping track of how many days in a row!!!

ran   November 12th, 2009 9:18 am ET

Everyone stop commenting on this "thing" and maybe CNN will stop reporting on "it"

Sad that CNN will not report on our troops instead report on this "thing".

Marco   November 12th, 2009 9:17 am ET

Get a LIFE CNN ! ! ! ! ! Why do you keep trying to make news out of non-story???? Palin tunnel focused

Monrob   November 12th, 2009 9:17 am ET

And what are we supposed to say, wonderful?

SkiDoc   November 12th, 2009 9:15 am ET

Gee........acceptance by the other immortal "O" Will be fun to watch the wimmins libbers get some kind of negativity out of this one. You go, Sarah!!

Patrish   November 12th, 2009 9:12 am ET

The curious part of me wants to watch, but the logical part of me says no way! This woman is the dingbat that "claimed an anti-Christian conspiracy in the redesign of U.S. coins" a short time ago. She makes me embarrassed to be a woman. She's a joke. Sorry Oprah, I opt out of watching your show.

Ya betchya! (Yawn)   November 12th, 2009 9:12 am ET

Oh I'm sure Palin sounded real smart and focused on that segment with Oprah. (Yawn) Ya betchya, Palin had such insight into world affairs and the Alaskan backyard. Palin is so relevant, I'm sure people are falling all over themselves to hear or see what she has to say. (Yawn)

As you can tell, I'm being sarcastic as it appears CNN is about he only media line that wants to hear what Palin has to say, meaning Palin is so old news and getting kind of boring. (Wink)

Mike S.   November 12th, 2009 9:11 am ET

I'm so happy that Sarah Palin is building her celebrity status and bank account simultaneously. But I'm even more happy that this category 5 idiot isn't in any governmental position of power where important decisions must be made based on logic. Thank God she's just a media circus, and not Vice President.

ANGIE   November 12th, 2009 9:10 am ET

We can only hope she knows what is in her book. And I hope Oprah doesn't ask her any hard questions. Of course we know she is only going on the show to promote her book. she is all about the money. But I'm up for a good hard laugh.

Terry from West Texas   November 12th, 2009 9:09 am ET

I support Sarah Palin 100% for the Republican nomination for the presidency in 2012. From my point of view, she is the idea candidate. I am a proud Liberal, and I think Palin is just the gal to put Conservatism in its coffin. She has brief experience as a small town mayor and she had half of a disappointing term as governor. She is not very smart. She is not at all informed. She will make many blunders during the campaign. I can't think of anyone more qualified.

Go, Sarah, go!

Mike in LR   November 12th, 2009 9:08 am ET

This poor woman and her entire family have been demonized by the government run press (sometimes called the mainstream media). I can't blame her for removing herself from the public eye. It is completely shameful how some people are totally ruined by left wing media just for having an opinion that doesn't agree with theirs.

Gary   November 12th, 2009 9:07 am ET

For someone who has claimed that the news media "are out to get me", Palin seems to enjoy the spotlight when it'll help her sell the book that someone else did all the work on.

Are you kidding me????   November 12th, 2009 9:06 am ET

Did Oprah ask what publication she had read lately?? Death panels??? Which continent was where???? Who's taking care of the Govenor's responsibilities in Alaska?? Who cares about Bristal, the preganancy, Levi, her marriage!!!! The book should be called "GONE Rougue!!!!!!!!!

SH in TX   November 12th, 2009 9:06 am ET

Sounds pretty boring to me. Nothing we haven't heard before. Just another forum for Palin to sell her book. Yawn.

rickymo   November 12th, 2009 9:05 am ET

Why anybody is interested in this women is beyond me. I am not a fan of the GOP at all but there are so many other bright GOP women that to give any credit to this fool just baffles me. But then again this country voted for Bush twice so I guess i should not be surprised with the dumming down of the US

Death Panel Sarah   November 12th, 2009 9:04 am ET

It was about death panels....he he.... death panels!!!
I told her I cold see Russia from my house!
I could see what Putin's big head was doing when he reared it!
I asked if she knew wheather Africa was a country or a Con.... whatever you call it....big place!
Does Katie Couric dye her hair?
But, mainly death panels....he he!
She made me speak coherently....I hated it!

Maladjusted1   November 12th, 2009 9:04 am ET

What doesn't make it on the show will be available at Oprah.com. Go Sarah!

The World According to Gop   November 12th, 2009 9:01 am ET

Keep going, Sarah. You've got a bright future ahead of you, which means a bright future for the U.S. We need strength now, not another generation of confused babies who refuse to see the world as it is. Can't wait to see this interview and many more.

Dominican mama 4 Obama   November 12th, 2009 9:01 am ET

To think I was actually going to learn to use my DVR in order to watch this 'interview' when home from work. It sounds like it was something done for the ratings and the $$$. Too bad. Quittin' Palin could 've had the opportunity to show her mettle and everything that she believes qualifies her to run for President in 2012. I have absolutely no interest in watching Oprah and Palin smiling pretty and swapping fantasies. Bummer.

Willy Brown   November 12th, 2009 9:01 am ET

Wonder if Oprah will put Sarah Palin's book in her club?

Joe-E   November 12th, 2009 8:58 am ET

I always liked Oprah for her mature and timely topics, but this is the first time she is interviewing a megalomaniac who cannot live without attention drawn to her silly and lame ego. Maybe we will be treated to another "Tom Cruise" moment.

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   November 12th, 2009 8:57 am ET

Oprah is probably thinking that this woman is dumber than I thought.

Michael-SC   November 12th, 2009 8:57 am ET

who cares?
Not watching Oprah and absolutely not watching Palin the liar.
Almost as bad as Cheney the coward

This sets up 2012.......   November 12th, 2009 8:55 am ET

for a Sarah Palin/Liz Cheney ticket.

Obama is ONE and DONE.

hm,florida   November 12th, 2009 8:53 am ET

i sure hope oprah did not give her any breaks. someone needs to get the truth out of this woman not glorify her. really, what has she done???

TangledThorns   November 12th, 2009 8:49 am ET

Sarah Palin is a true leader. Shame on Oprah for endorsing the empty suit in the WH.

Kate   November 12th, 2009 8:47 am ET

Well, Oprah is one of the most powerful figures in the world. Sarah Palin will naturally only have good things to say about her. Regardless of how Oprah treated her (I'm sure Oprah was gracious), Palin has to show her respect and drop the victim stories about the media's treatment of her and her family.

Richie   November 12th, 2009 8:47 am ET

Did they talk about whether someone had read the book to Sarah yet?

Really Sad 4 the country   November 12th, 2009 8:47 am ET

Who really cares.......

shucks   November 12th, 2009 8:46 am ET

Fiction from a fraud.

southerncousin   November 12th, 2009 8:42 am ET

Thank God. CNN missed having a Palin story yesterday. OK libs, you can now spew your drug induced venorm and show how evil and hateful liberalism is.

Donna   November 12th, 2009 8:41 am ET

Palin is such a hypocrite, is this the same liberal media that they trash last year. I guess if she wants to sell books anyone is her friend.
Palin 2012 ... quitter

George   November 12th, 2009 8:39 am ET

That will be worth watching. Sarah is on Ophra's turf. This may be the first time we see a decent Sarah. Not a smart, Sarah, but a decent one. Then she will leave Ophra, and go out tea bagging. I wonder if she will take her rifle teabagging>

CNN why are you obsessed with Sarah? It can't be for her wisdom.

Norman   November 12th, 2009 8:36 am ET

I's amazimg what publicity does for you.

PS I will not be watching.

Drew   November 12th, 2009 8:30 am ET

I think she should have remain as governor so she can learn that you don't sleep or cheat anymore to get to the top. Her husband can stand by and let her do this is less than a husband and father to their children.
