Palin will visit the Army base in early December.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Sarah Palin will travel to the Fort Hood Army post in early December as part of her national book tour, Palin's publisher confirmed to CNN Friday.

The December 4 visit will come roughly one month after a mass shooting on the base that left 13 people dead and 38 wounded.

The stop, which had not been previously announced, is scheduled for the same day Palin signs books at a store in in the Dallas area.

The former Alaska governor is also making an appearance at Fort Bragg in North Carolina during her tour.

The visit was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Can ANYone visit Ft. Hood? I know many groups of good folks who would gladly go if they could offer any assistance. Guess if Silly Sarah can, ANYone can - what makes her "special"?

As a moderate democrat, I supported Obama. The more I see of the extreme left actions of Obama, the more I want to hear what Sarah Palin has to say. A dissatified, previous Obama supporter!

SAVVY OLDTIMER   November 13th, 2009 7:39 pm ET

This woman has a very thin resume, and accomplished very little of substance on the national stage, to be accorded celebrity, or VIP status. She's the poster girl of the Dumbness in American politics,.. follow blindly, manipulated easily, and then blame someone else for your predicament. This totally incompetent woman, is good at cacooning herself from public scrutiny, makes herself unavailable to public questioning, yet she gratuitously offers her opinions without submitting herself to vetting.

I wonder if Ms. Palen actually looked up the meaning of the word Rogue before she titled her book. She might check the Meriam-Webster definition. Dishonest, worthless person, person of inferior biological variation from Meriam; unprincipled decietful, a vagrant, etc. from others. You would think a journelism major would check a few resources.

@wrongkind of change
Their hatred for her is so strong they are blinded at how badly our country is being run by Obama and his Chicago thugs. Then again, they love Obama because most of them are the same people standing in line waiting for their free hand outs from "Obama's stash."

All you Palin haters really need to get jobs and do something useful with your time. It's hard to take you seriously when you are all on every government program out there. If you want people to take you seriously, try contributing to this country instead of leeching off of those who do.
______________________________________________________

I am neither afriad of Palin nor do I hate her. She, however, has proven herself to be completely unqualified for higher political office based on her own actions. She. Left. Her. Post. Mid term.

I am an executive with a fortune 500 company and have NEVER taken public assistance other than my (repaided) student loans. I am in the top income bracket and feel that it is patriotic to pay higher taxes if it helps my fellow citizens. I neither want nor need a handout of any kind.

However, I am consious enough (unlike the writer above) to realize that there are other people in this world who are not as fortunate. America is a great nation. It will be an even greater nation when we realize that we can disagreed without being disagreeable.

Well, after reading all of these post today....i can see how the bigots and single cell people can stand and justify someone like Palin. Sorry folks, maybe Obama isn't the best, but he walked into a terrible mess after the Bush admin for 8 yrs...and it would take anyone along time to try to fix some of this countrys problems..but having someone like Palin running this country is ludicrus and ignortant..Cannot stand the woman..and from what I have been reading...her book is very rude on some very important and knowledgable people...that is because Palin is not knowledgable and wants to make others look dumb to make her look better......hopefully she will go away soon....maybe hang out with the mooses or whatever...after all, she can see Russia from where she lives in Alaska,..remember !!!!

nobodythatswho   November 13th, 2009 6:44 pm ET

@islanderata LOL!

1) She quit on Alaska for personal fame and fortune.
2) She doesn't believe in a woman's right to choose what's best for her body.
3) She harbors sympathy for the Alaskan secessionist movement.
4) Her foreign policy knowledge is not good! George W. Bush was better:
a) She didn't know Africa is a continent (basic 4th grade geography)
b) She had no idea what the "Bush Doctrine" was when asked.
5) Her political experience:
- Former Council Member, Wasilla City Council, Alaska, 1992-1996
- Former Mayor, Wasilla City, Alaska, 1996-2002 (pop: 7,028) (Votes: 909)
- Failed Candidate, Lieutenant Governor, Alaska, 2002
- Resigned, Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 2003-2004
- Resigned, Governor, Alaska, 2006-present (2.5 years) (pop: 670,053) (4th Smallest State) (0.002% of the U.S. population)
6) She was "for the 'Bridge to Nowhere' before she was against it"
ADN: "Would you continue state funding for the proposed Knik Arm and Gravina Island bridges?"
PALIN: "Yes." – (Anchorage Daily News, 2006)
7) She was in cohoots with Alaskan senators, with over 453Million in federal funds earmarked for pet PORK projects.
8) She supports Abstinence-only Sex Education, but could not even keep her own daughter from engaging in sexual activity and eventual pregnancy at the age of 17.

List goes on and on........

Patrish   November 13th, 2009 6:42 pm ET

For those a bit 'thick' in the head. Palin/McCain did not win because the American people did not want them to lead our country. So why should we be scared of her in the future? She is no smarter, better versed now, and she still can't answer a simple question directly – see the Oprah's 'thanksgiving' question. If she can't win with a guy like McCain, then what makes you think she can win on her own??????? Support her if you must, whine if you must, but don't believe that we the American people are afraid of her.

I have never posted before. I voted against Sarah Palin but not John McCain. I vote Democrat almost all the time and I am not fond of the Republican party. I think she will run in 2012 and I hope she loses because I think she is too far to the right.

Nevertheless I think its nice of her to go to Fort Hood and for one particular reason. She has a son in the military and I believe he is overseas too. She is a military mother too. Why not give her a break? Politics is dirty so why not be nice for a change?

German,Irish American   November 13th, 2009 6:31 pm ET

Rita Marie- you do realize that civilians also live at Fort Hood don't you? And that it was a civilian police officer that shot the Muslem terrorist Hasan? But then again, you are really just showing the average stupidity of the Obama follower. Palin does have a son in Iraq, and unlike you left-wing hatefilled Obamamites, she has a respect for the military. As for quitting, Obama QUIT the Senate about three weeks after being elected by being gone 95% of the time to campaign and raise illegal foreign money for his campaign. The man is now showing his utter incompetence as a leader.

Michelle   November 13th, 2009 6:30 pm ET

OK, one flaw in Palin? She lies, incessantly...and if you don't know that, it's no wonder you let Hannity and Beck convince you Obama is a marxist. Guess what...they lie too. They showed scenes from the recent rally in DC that were actually from the previous bigger rally to make it look like Bachmann rallied the troops. Hannity showed a clip from an Obama speech, then said that Obama said the exact opposite of his statement. Lie. This country IS under attack, from Palin and the far right wing. If you want to have her beliefs as the law of the land, keep supporting her ideas that would do more to overturn the Constitution than even Bush dreamed of.

I had the greatest laugh today...seriously....her book is being sold in KMart..out in today's newspaper flyer (yeah, I confess..I still support real newspapers). Guess this book is going to be on anybody's list(s).

On a serious side, I think it is a good thing for her to stop by and give her hugs to those who have gone through so much....consider it a common citizen representation.

Dem no mo   November 13th, 2009 6:26 pm ET

Sarah Palin has a son in the military fighting with these brave men and women. She has EVERY right to speak to them, not peddle her book as you losers accuse her of. Watch any You-Tube video of soldiers applauding Bush versus Obama. They hate Obama, except for the 13% of the US population that are serving in the military. When any of you losers win a seat on your local city council, get appointed to a state board, and then win the Govenors race; then you have a right to give your opinion. Until then, try defending "your" President because he sure the heck isn't mine. Oh, did that hurt your limp-wristed feelings? Now that the shoe's on the other foot, get used to it. Does what the Dixie Chicks said ring a bell?

Michelle   November 13th, 2009 6:26 pm ET

Oh goody. The woman who supports more war, and thus, more killings, will go and offer her support. And Debbie, Palin did actually tell Charlie Gibson that you can see Russia from a point in Alaska (true) when asked about her foreign policy experience. So SNL used that and made a joke. Get over it. Palin is a ditz, and she should not be allowed on these bases any more than any other civilian author would be welcome. Who does she think she is?

And to "me" down there, yes, we can back up everything we type. Go to Huffington Post and you can read "The First 10Llies in Palin's Book" and more will follow, because she has been lying since the first day we heard her..."I said "NO" to that bridge" (No, you did not, and you took the cash. "I started a pipeline" No you did not, and it has yet to even be approved. "I am stepping down as Governor to spend more time with my family." Ha, that one doesn't even need a fact check.

And islanderata, get your facts straight. President Obama went to Dover to honor our soldiers, something Bush couldn't bother about ONCE in 7 years. He did not go as a photo op, did not TAKE the press there, and for God's sake, if the President goes somewhere it's probably important. I guess had he gone in the middle of the night and made a huge secret about it, you'd be clamoring that he doesn't respect the troops or is trying to hide the caskets (which was another Bush idea.). He's shown more respect and care for the troops already than Bush and Cheney ever did. Support the troops? Bring them home.

There ain't an Obamist here that can point out one flaw in Palin. All comments are snarky and have no basis in reality. The Obamist here are panicked for one reason and one reason only, and it is that she is going to run your half-witted, treasonous, racist, Marxist community organizer out office office in less than three years.

R.I.P. Damon   November 13th, 2009 6:15 pm ET

As someone in the Army who lost a brother to combat, equating former Governor Palin's trip to Ft. Hood as a "tragedy" equal to the despicable acts of Malik Hassan is offensive and repulsive. It's no secret that most liberals HATE this woman for no reason other than she's a conservative Republican who stands up for herself and her values, but this goes way beyond the pale of partisan bickering and name calling. Then again, below the belt insults against Palin are nothing new. Seeing how her oldest son is in the service and recently returned from a deployment in Iraq, I sincerely doubt she would use this opportunity to promote herself over paying her respects to the victims of last week's cowardly attack.

Wow!   November 13th, 2009 6:13 pm ET

First of all, I don't hate Palin or anyone else. However, the very thought of her being near the Presidency would keep me up at night. She is so impressed with herself she can't see anything else.

And as for your stupid comments about people who don't believe she is qualifed for a dog catcher's position, I have been working and supporting myself since I was 12 years old so you should be careful about your assumptions. I grew up on a farm and we all worked. Forty plus years later, I'm still working. As a matter of fact, many of the people where I grew up are hard core republicans because they are in love with their guns....not work and being self sufficient. You should try to grasp the notion that it's about individuals and their initiative instead of what their political or religious beliefs are.

People like you need to get a grip and quit making wild assumptions about people who don't believe in everything the Repulicans spew. Kel   November 13th, 2009 5:09 pm ET

If she's going to Fort Hood for anything other than praising the soldiers and giving sincere sympathy for those who were killed and their loved ones I for one will be repulsed.

I hope she won't shamelessly promote her book, or use it as a pulpit to incite her politics. That would be insulting and insensitive at a time when people are greiving. I hope she will do the right thing and not do this.

Furthermore, I don't understand why she's going there. It makes sense for Obama since he's the president and the commander-in-chief. Palin is... Well I'm not sure how she relates to the tradegy at Ft. Hood. She isn't involved in the military and isn't an official that is directly related to this or a family member or part of the community. It doesn't make sense to me.

Also, I don't hate Palin. She's not my favorite person and I was scared of her because she would have potentially been a heart beat away from the presidency. And she has consistently proven she's not qualified. But I don't hate her. But those admonishing others for their "hatred" of Palin are being hypocritical, when they profess their hatred for Obama. How can you say don't hate on Palin, but then turn around and call Obama a thug or similar? It amazes me how ugly people can get.

There are plenty of reasons that Sarah Palin makes us DEM (no, I am not DEM anymore) scared. No one will waste time on fighting or make fun of an Idiot. Instead, they will trash, twist and destore the facts, destroy and attack some one who has the gut to do the right things. But all you SO CALLED JOURNALISTS, IS THIS BIASED COVERAGE WILL DO OUR COUNTRY GOOD? Look at OBAMA, HE IS FAR MORE WORSE THAN I EXPECTED.

SARAH Palin is real. She is one of us. She is a Washington Outsider. She achieved a lot during her one / two years as Alaska Governor. She is tough on Corruption. Yet she is fun and attractive. She delivered very very effective and rhetoric speeches too.

I once watched her speech in CARSON CITY, NV. I was so thrilled by her motivated speech. But not many people had a chance to watch it BECAUSE THE BIASED MSM jumped on the wagaband of OBAMA and didn't report her speech much.

I will vote for the REPUB CANDIDATE TO PROTEST THE MSM FOR SUCH BIASED REPORTING. PERIOD.

Keith in CA   November 13th, 2009 5:03 pm ET

After Rush Limbaugh and Liz Cheney criticized President Obama for saluting fallen soldiers at Dover AFB, going so far as to call it a photo-op, why haven't they been equally critical of Palin's blatant exploitation of a tragedy for personal financial gain? There is a huge difference between the Commander in Chief honoring fallen soldiers returning from battle and a political quitter trying to hawk her book.
As a veteran, I'm outraged and disgusted by Palin, a soulless bottom feeder.

I find it sad that President Obama's meeting of military caskets upon their arrival at military bases was seen as a poor photo op by conservatives (as opposed to the tremendous sign of respect that it was), yet Sarah Palin is not only using the Fort Hood tragedy as a photo op, but she's also using it to sell books. WrongKindofChange   November 13th, 2009 4:36 pm ET

I'm still amazed at the number of Palin haters that still go out of their way to make their hatred for her known, almost a year after the election. And then I realize why. It's because they're scared. Scared of the truth. Scared of what she stands for. Scared for the good she inspires. Scared of what the country could be with her as a leader.

Eyes Wide Open   November 13th, 2009 4:32 pm ET

Let's all be real for a minute.

Sarah Palin had a following BEFORE McCain picked her. There were two websites dedicated to her accomplishments. She boosted McCain's approval ratings the minute she was added to the ticket and for a few short weeks helped McCain have an edge in the polls.

Sarah Palin will CONTINUE to be popular amongst the middle class people who work hard, shop at Wal-Mart, go to community college to get their grades up and go to a small local college to finish out their degrees.

Sarah Palin will continue to incite hatred in foaming at the mouth liberals who love to post vicious gossip on CNN blogs, not in middle America.

Middle Americans will continue to get upset over show-trials in NY of all places for Terrorists, or photo ops of flag drapped coffins, or pushing through legislation they don't agree with.

So, why don't all the haters IGNORE Palin and let her be popular with those that love her and find her geniune and connect with her values.

Stop pretending that you constant calls for her to "go away" will have any effect what so ever and will probably perpetuate the daily Palin-Ticker.

It's fun to see Sarah-bashers frothing viciously...

fred   November 13th, 2009 3:49 pm ET

Sarah Palin: Modern Day Cultist.

Mike   November 13th, 2009 3:48 pm ET

Never mind she holds no office and she lost the electiion...

pc   November 13th, 2009 3:48 pm ET

sarah don't disgrace yourself again, stay away from fort hood and let these people heal! your an embarrassment to our country.
and for CNN i no longer watch your channel and very seldom read your blog, it seems to be always about this idiot palin that means nothing to me. CNN ...please move on!!!

Jean   November 13th, 2009 3:47 pm ET

Sarah Palin lost the election and should just go away!!

C. Farrell, Houston, Tx   November 13th, 2009 3:47 pm ET

Why is this woman allowed to visit of military facilities when she's a civilian as well as myself. This is opening a can of worms which could cause future discrimination charges against other civilians being denied entry to military facilities.

Steve   November 13th, 2009 3:45 pm ET

Sniffit...are you a complete retard?
The National Security Agency was intercepting telegrams and phone calls between Hasan and one of the leading advocates of jihad against Americans in the world. We know that they were turned over to the FBI. We know that the FBI concluded not to pursue it.
This was all during the past year.....you do know who our President has been during that time right???

jeff jackson ozark, alabama   November 13th, 2009 3:43 pm ET

The 30 year veteran speaks for veterans all over
America.
Palin would make one hell of a commander in
chief.
I don't see her checking the political wind gauge
before kicking some enemy butt !!!

Mark   November 13th, 2009 3:42 pm ET

This is a pathetic ploy to ACT as though she cares so deeply for our fighting men and women.

She CARES about money, and power as she sets herself up to run for president. A revolting prospect, indeed.

sarahlies   November 13th, 2009 3:41 pm ET

who cares stop talking about this moron of a woman, SHE'S an UNEMPLOYED moose killer.. shut up.. we don't care what she and her tailer trash family does.. GET OVER IT..

JW   November 13th, 2009 3:40 pm ET

Palin even had time to visit wounded troops in Germany, unlike Obama who decided that working out at his hotel was more important.

RTB   November 13th, 2009 3:40 pm ET

So the Alaskan Air Head wants to stick her bony fingers in yet another place where they don't belong. What a low life piece of garbage.

Connie, Indiana   November 13th, 2009 3:37 pm ET

Photo op Photo op, she nevers misses a chance to get her face on the tube...a statement that Palin has "class" I beg your pardon, she is the most unclassy person I have ever seen. If she had any class she wouldn't even think of going there...What is her motivation??? cameras will be all over her, there is your motivation...

John, Chicago   November 13th, 2009 3:37 pm ET

What the hell gives her the right to speak at a military base. These soldiers have been through enough without having to be a part of the Sarah Palin book tour. Shameful

Cynthia   November 13th, 2009 3:36 pm ET

Are yuo serious? this nit wit is on the ticker about 4 different times. she is not news why in the hell do you, CNN keep putting this crap about this idiot on the the ticker? ENOUGH, ENOUGH, ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!

Len in Washington   November 13th, 2009 3:35 pm ET

TO: "30 Year Veteran"

You are so wrong in so many ways.

signed......"USMC Veteran"

TangledThorns   November 13th, 2009 3:35 pm ET

CNN failed to include that the Ft. Hood officials insisted that Sarah Palin still visit.

chubby   November 13th, 2009 3:35 pm ET

I will bet you liberal bed wetters she does not give a shout out to her peeps like nobama did after the shootings. Nobama does not give a rats butt about the troops, all he wants is to put on a show.

islanderata   November 13th, 2009 3:35 pm ET

Good. Palin is a true patriot.

Mr. Obama's Marxist buddies were outraged (outraged I tell ya) that some people accused him of making a photo op out of his trip to Dover. Problem is he took photographers with him and even had his salute filmed.

Palin, or a person of her persuasion, will replace Obama on 01/20/13, if Mr. Obama doesn't attempt a coup before then.

anotherGDlefty   November 13th, 2009 3:34 pm ET

Please CC, stop putting up stories about Caribou Barbie and get back to real news. Let People magazine cover her.

C Spurgeon   November 13th, 2009 3:34 pm ET

God Bless Fort Hood.

pishposh   November 13th, 2009 3:33 pm ET

A few dead soldiers – an opportunity to be exploited for personal profit. What a good Republican!

Connie, Indiana   November 13th, 2009 3:33 pm ET

I hope to God she doesn't start one of her rants..I wouldn't let this woman within 1 mile of the base..I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her..Why can't she leave well enuff alone. Let her go talk to Bush instead of visiting the base. What is the military thinking, she will probably bring her tea bag friends with her..

Len in Washington   November 13th, 2009 3:33 pm ET

"Opportunistic Slime!"

chubby   November 13th, 2009 3:32 pm ET

I would drive a long way to see Sarah but I would not go across the street to see nobama. Impeach nobama.

C Spurgeon   November 13th, 2009 3:32 pm ET

UGH..Ican't say anything remotrly nice about this woman and her family so i won't say anything...

Mar   November 13th, 2009 3:32 pm ET

Please remind me....who is this woman again? The one who called our president socialist, pals around with terrorists and etc.? And please tell me why we should care what she does and where she goes? Why she is always the main title of your political ticker, CNN?

Monster Zero   November 13th, 2009 3:32 pm ET

This is comical with all the Palin articles, what gives? Is CNN stirring up all those old liberal blogger's to get out there and keep campaigning for the anointed one? Meanwhile, our economy continues to slide down the tube, at least job creation and any initiative to put people to work... We have another terrorist attack at a military base, Healthcare Bill in the dead of night, phony NY23 poll results, Constitutional rights for war criminals, hmm and that is just this week! America is not going to last three more years at this rate!
Could it be they realize they are a disaster so it is let's keep the minions busy hating a Conservative WHITE woman that called out Obama for what he is, a muslim sympathizer?

laughing in alaska   November 13th, 2009 3:31 pm ET

anyone notice that her book is selling for $9.00 on Amazon and the Sarah Palin coloring & activity book is selling for $12.00? Three dollars more – I just love that!

Eric, Dallas, TX   November 13th, 2009 3:31 pm ET

We LOVE YOU SARAH. Ft. Hood Loves you too.

Max   November 13th, 2009 3:30 pm ET

What the hell for?

NVa Native   November 13th, 2009 3:29 pm ET

Who cares?

Sarah   November 13th, 2009 3:29 pm ET

Please don't cheapen the tragedy at Fort Hood by the presence of this
idiot.

Ken-Seattle   November 13th, 2009 3:26 pm ET

Didn't Hasan go Rogue?

Deuce   November 13th, 2009 3:25 pm ET

It will all come out in the wash! Not all pulp is fiction.

Gregory G Wied Jr   November 13th, 2009 3:25 pm ET

Talk about turning a tragedy into a PR stunt. This woman surely knows how the public sees her. Even if she does have good intentions, she should know better, and stay away from Ft Hood. Even the appearance of taking advantage of this tragedy is disrespectful.

RSB   November 13th, 2009 3:24 pm ET

She takes advantage of any oppotunity. I hope she remembers where she is and that the people there LIKE their country. Please don't use this time to bash the administration.

bob in LA   November 13th, 2009 3:23 pm ET

When does this stop? She is a nobody. She is not news. ENOUGH

T   November 13th, 2009 3:22 pm ET

That's just low.

Kathleen   November 13th, 2009 3:22 pm ET

You people in the media should get your stories straight about Palin. From what I read in over 200 comments – 90% were against her, but the media continues to give her the spot light. She cannot even get her facts straight.

John, Chicago   November 13th, 2009 3:22 pm ET

Jeez haven't these people been through enough pain already.

Steve in Kentucky   November 13th, 2009 3:19 pm ET

CNN: All Palin, All The Time.

If you have CNN, who needs False News?

T'SAH from Virginia   November 13th, 2009 3:19 pm ET

This book is already being scrutinized by the media and all highlights are being mentioned. After Monday on Oprah, I guess everything you want to know about this book would be exposed and from what I am hearing so far – there's nothing left!! I GUESS I DON'T HAVE TO BUY THE BOOK AFTER ALL.

There's NO policy whatsoever – just lies and ramblings we already know about PALIN. But again, she will get over in her own way and make money – which is her goal!!

Bill W.   November 13th, 2009 3:19 pm ET

Is this thePalin News Network?

I want real news, not 4 freakin' storys on this chic everyday.

What is the deal?

Deborah   November 13th, 2009 3:18 pm ET

Parasite never misses a photo op does she?

SuperHiro   November 13th, 2009 3:17 pm ET

Not at all capitalizing on a tragedy.....

Tina, NC   November 13th, 2009 3:15 pm ET

Palin,

In honor of our soldiers, why don't you quit using a national tragedy to sell books.

What a disgusting, low life piece of trash that woman is.

Bernard Marx   November 13th, 2009 3:15 pm ET

Haven't the people of Fort Hood suffered enough?

30 Year Veteran   November 13th, 2009 3:13 pm ET

This is a nice thing to do. Palin has class. unlike Obama who takes forever to do something. Now you Obama bashers of Palin I am sure will have plently of disrespective remarks to make about a woman who has done nothing to any of you idiots.

linda   November 13th, 2009 3:13 pm ET

How obnoxious! Ft Hood is recovering from a huge tragedy,
and wingnut Palin is on her capitalistic run - totally classless!

Gary, Hunt Valley, Md.   November 13th, 2009 3:11 pm ET

Wow, the irony is thick. Sarah, who turned and quit on the people who exercised the right to vote her into the state house of Alaska, will visit a place where young men and women help to preserve that precious right, a place where young men and women are trained to complete the mission, however challenging and dangerous and unpopular it may be. Why doesn't she just sign her books in Dallas and get the hell out of Texas? Oh, I forgot, she's a fighter.

Colleen   November 13th, 2009 3:10 pm ET

Leave it to Sarah to capitalize on tradgedy. I mean fear & terror is her mantra, who else better to go

T'SAH from Virginia   November 13th, 2009 3:10 pm ET

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!

CNN – could you PLEASE report REAL NEWS????? Like the next time SARAH PALIN passes GAS!!!!!!!!! That would be news we can believe in because that is ALL she is filled with!!!

Linda B., Ga.   November 13th, 2009 3:10 pm ET

Like we care where she will be going....."PAIN"LIN is a LOSER and a BIMBO...

Meka   November 13th, 2009 3:09 pm ET

Palin, is the last person/thing . . . Ft. Hood needs!

Vancouver Canada   November 13th, 2009 3:09 pm ET

Haven't those people suffered enough?

evman   November 13th, 2009 3:09 pm ET

Someone will have to tell Palin where Ft. Hood is since she can't see it from her front porch !!!

Barry   November 13th, 2009 3:09 pm ET

Since when are civilians (not employed by the government) allowed on military bases on their book tour? I am disgusted by this. She has no standing that would justify this visit. How low can you go, Sarah?

Fred the Moderate   November 13th, 2009 3:08 pm ET

Go Sarah Go, you will split your party and make matters worse. then add in Lou Dobbs as an Independant and we will win – not by 11 million votes as last time, but around 22 to 25 million votes.

Thank you for running and continuing to run your mouth, it's great

kirkmo   November 13th, 2009 3:08 pm ET

Why? Are any other GOP Presidential contenders going to use the massacre as a campaign opportunity? Going Classless & Clueless.

me   November 13th, 2009 3:08 pm ET

Wait, here it comes...........
The twisted, cool-aid drinking liberals held up in their parents' basement – with Snickers Bar in one hand and mouse in the other – are a-wait with nervousness.....their palms are sweaty, heartbeat is increasing, eyes are glossing over.....the anticipation, ohhhh the anticipation....when will it come? WHEN WILL IT COME!!!!!!

AHHHHH!!!! There it is, a SARAH PALIN thread on the CNN POLITICAL TICKER!!!!!! Their eyes widen with delusional excitement, their mouths froth over with venom-inspired hatred, they just can't take the overwhelming urge anymore!!!! Type, type, type, they must type with fervor.....get the words out, they MUST get the words out!!!!!!.....write anything with four letter words, and use stupid and dumb, use ugly and bimbo.......most importantly USE NO FACTS!!!! USE NO FACTS!!!!!

There.....the fix is satisfied.....they can rest now, but only until the sickening PDS symptoms begin again......will it be tomorrow? Will it be in 30 minutes? No one knows.....only the poor, twisted sufferers in the basements across liberal America know for sure......

CAN ANY OF YOU ACTUALLY BACK UP ANY OF YOUR TWISTED LIBERAL LIES ABOUT THIS WOMAN WITHOUT QUOTING LIES TO BEGIN WITH???????

Michael   November 13th, 2009 3:05 pm ET

A book tour? A book tour?! The only thing spurring Palin to visit the site of a such an awful event is to make it part of a publicity stunt?

My lord, don't embarrass the dead like that.

Island girl   November 13th, 2009 3:04 pm ET

I took a hiatus from blogging here but I need to get back in after seeing so many stories about Sarah Palin courtesy of CNN. Is she running for President in the next general election? It sure seems so.

hongli   November 13th, 2009 3:01 pm ET

I wonder why Sarah Palin choose Oprah instead of FOX NEWS to launch her book? Your answer--– Even FOX NEWS cannot tolerate her lies. GO FIGURE!!! My parents always told me a liar is a THIEF and Sarah Palin underlines what my parents meant.

radioactive   November 13th, 2009 3:00 pm ET

Will her vice-presidential nominee Carrie Prajean be there as well??
What a couple of simpletons....the usa is so screwed up if people actually care about these two idiots...come on america and the media..grow up

sonny chapman   November 13th, 2009 2:59 pm ET

Being the self-proclaimed Christian that she is, I'm sure that she has the noblest of intentions.

Debbie from VA   November 13th, 2009 2:59 pm ET

I can't believe you CNN. Please give it a rest. Aren't you tired of the vile comments from the left? I guess you just can't get enough uneducated coments about the $9.99 E-BOOK or Tina Fey's made up comment about seeing Russia from Palin's house. Where is NEWS about Rangel? Oh that's right, there isn't any–why don't you actually report on something constructive and tell us why nothing is being done.

Frozone   November 13th, 2009 2:59 pm ET

No one cashes in on a national tragedy like a Republican. They love our troops, they just won't help them get health care once their home.

NC   November 13th, 2009 2:58 pm ET

Palin will not go to a large city. She is afraid the media might ask her a tough question such as what day or year is this. I plan on writing a book also the title is called Nothing.

Grahame   November 13th, 2009 2:55 pm ET

Maybe they can use her for target practice

Rita Marie   November 13th, 2009 2:55 pm ET

Excuse me, but isn't she just a private citizen at the moment?
What gives her the right to access to a military base that should be a Devcon Delta? Then any citizen should have that same access, and that makes it unsafe. Sorry, but you gave up your status as a governor and as a public figure the day you resigned.

She should be denied access. PUBLIC CITIZEN SARAH.

Anonymous   November 13th, 2009 2:54 pm ET

Why is she being given access to these places, she is nobody now

Donald in CA   November 13th, 2009 2:54 pm ET

Just what the troops at Fort Hood need is a negative person such as Palin visiting them.

SocialismBad   November 13th, 2009 2:52 pm ET

I don't think this is a wise move on Palin's part. She needs to fire whoever suggested this visit. It'll be twisted into a story about how she is using the tragedy to sell books for her own enrichment. Visit the base after more time has passed and not as part of a book tour.

squirrelnutkin   November 13th, 2009 2:51 pm ET

Oh, vomit.

Lynne   November 13th, 2009 2:49 pm ET

Palin is going on a "photo op" tour!!!

DollParts   November 13th, 2009 2:48 pm ET

Sick.
Ignorant.
Somewhat Depraved,
but definitely staying in character.

Gross.

GI Joe   November 13th, 2009 2:48 pm ET

Going to stir up more hate?
