Palin will visit the Army base in early December.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Sarah Palin will travel to the Fort Hood Army post in early December as part of her national book tour, Palin's publisher confirmed to CNN Friday.

The December 4 visit will come roughly one month after a mass shooting on the base that left 13 people dead and 38 wounded.

The stop, which had not been previously announced, is scheduled for the same day Palin signs books at a store in in the Dallas area.

The former Alaska governor is also making an appearance at Fort Bragg in North Carolina during her tour.

The visit was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

I sure like Sarah! I think she's great in many ways.
It's fun to see Sarah-bashers frothing viciously...

Wow, I'm sorry this place of honor is no place for a quitting loser like Palin. Just another PR stunt for this selfishly vain person. Sequel book: "The Failures Guide To Being A Millionaire" by Sarah Plain. No wonder the French are concerned about an American cultural invasion...no class.

Here we go....stirring the pot of ignorance a little bit more. This woman leaves a trail of dangling prepositions and discontent wherever she goes based on groundless innuendo and make believe theories. GOP needs to hitch their wagon to a different 'star'.

A typical day in the life of Sarah Palin.

Palin has never let the facts get in her way , what makes you think she'd start now? Remember the Death Panels?

Good for her, I'm sure she wants to pay her respects.

I hope the visit does not become a POLITICAL stump. The GOOD PEOPLE of Ft Hood and our MILITARY SERVICE DESERVE THAT from all AMERICANs.

What happen there IS NOT a REPUBLICAN, DEMOCRAT, INDEPENDENT or TEA PARTY deal....it is a TRAGEDY.

They require our RESPECT & CIVILITY.

  10. Party Purity will never bring Political Power!

Just like a neocon republican to score bucks off the bodies of our dead soldiers.

Con hawks have done it for 8 years with no-bid contracts, this facebook farce is just doing on our home soil.

    It lowers her carbon footprint.

Republicans have always been suckers for dead soldiers and a chance to make a buck. Pretty soon they'll traipse Lee Greenwood or some other countrified redneck to sing some scmaltzy paen in front of a giant American flag while the crowd gets all teary-eyed as Glen Beck gives the benediction after relating how he bacme a mormon so his wife would have sex with him. God bless America!

I don't care what her politics are or are not, she is just plain and simple not a smart person.

    TO: me
You really made me laugh by accusing liberals of being dumb, not adhering to facts, and using four-letter words to disparage Sarah Palin. The truth of the matter is we learned from you conservatives!! I have to admit you people are better at, but truth be told, you all have had a LOT
    more practice at it!

I agree, why is she even news worthy? She left her position for monetary gain (to promote her book), and is at best a half-wit. She has about as much of a chance of being the next president as I do, and thank God for that. She has no clue.

Palin is the moral, healing soul that the folks at Ft Hood will welcome with open arms. Thank God for Sarah Palin.

Palin will get a better reception from the troops. No doubt about it!

Anyone who served in the 90's knows what it means when dems talk about Military cutbacks!

  18. Seriously, Left

If she is nobody now, why are you still talking about her (not to mention still clicking on her stories). I'll bet the whole health care package that, as hard as you try, you still can't ignore her. Must be driving you nuts....huh?

The worse part about the Sarah Palin saga isn't Sarah Palin. it's that this book will become a best seller because of all the other out of touch, right wing, tea bagger, nut wings in America. God help us all

I sincerely sympathize with the soldiers at Fort Hood for the tragic event that occured. I am so sick of hearing/reading about Sarah Palin on this website. Why does your news organization feed into her frenzy. I would think alot more of Sarah Palin if she went quietly and visited that base. She has used her children for props all along, she is using CNN as her prop, and now she is exploiting a tragic event to get her name in the news. Congratulations you exploitative creature. There is no boundry to the lust for power and media control. Remember Sarah, what goes around does come around eventually.
