Palin: 'I will forever question' Rev. Wright strategy

Palin's book will be released Tuesday.
Palin's book will be released Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Sarah Palin's new memoir, "Going Rogue," contains plenty of second-guessing about the way John McCain's presidential campaign was conducted.

But Palin writes that the campaign's biggest mistake may have been not making a greater issue out of Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

"I was told not to discuss Obama's pastor of twenty years, Jeremiah 'God Damn America' Wright," Palin writes in the book. "I will forever question the campaign for prohibiting discussion of such associations. All the more since these telltale signs of Obama's views, carefully concealed with centrist campaign-speak, have now been brought into light by his appointments and actions in office."

Though much of the book is devoted to re-hashing the internal squabbles that took place within the McCain campaign, it's clear Palin does not hold Obama in high regard.

Looking back at the first presidential debate in Oxford, Mississippi, Palin writes that Obama won - but only because reporters were smitten with the Democrat. Nine out of 10 reporters, to be specific.

"The debate went on as planned, and John did great," Palin writes. "The postgame analysis in the media, though, was that the coolheaded Obama had won the night, displaying a firm grasp of the facts, while John, they tried to convince voters, had seemed irritable and condescending. Granted, 90 percent of the newspeople covering the debate were liberal."

Democrats did not make a big issue of Sarah Palin's church session with the witch doctor.

Rev Wright isnt a problem for me. Obie is just a very tolerant guy who is very lukewarm toward all things.

I did not need the media to tell me that John was irratable and condescending. That one was fairly obvious.

The more I'm hearing – from Palin and the people around the campaign – this was a set-up for failure from the get-go.
And she's right – the media were pushing Obama from the beginning. Obama's MORAL guide for 20 years – Wright – should have been discussed.
I thought Palin was an incredible breath of fresh air. The left-leaning media had a collective heart attack because here was an attractive, articulate, happily married woman who didn't take an aggressive feminist stand. Palin wasn't 'theirs' so they did everything they could to tear her down.

The reason the McCrypt handlers did not want you yammerin' on about Rev. Wright, stupido, is because of the tape with YOU and the witch doctor exorcism in Wasilla!

That would have put a crimp in your dupping the "christian" Fable Followers into giving you their pieces of gold.

And McCrypt needed the coins, why else would he have been angry and bitter in the debate?

McCain wanted to win on his own terms: a fair fight between two Americans. However, he was not aware that an Illinois state senator runs a campaign every two years and Obama lives on "campaigning" as we realize these days (the campaign continues). Also, McCain did not estimate two factors: "the media" being against him since Obama is "lovable, minority and liberal," and somewhat contradictory, that big business and money people being against him since he is not a "behind closed door deal maker" as Obama was correctly estimated to be!

The rest: debates, Palin, etc. is nonsense!!!! Big money gave it to Obama.

Sarah Palin...this is what she is about .....Nontruths! Maybe the Obama campaign should have asked about her husband's wanting to susceeding from the U.S.......Bristol's teenage boyfriend sleeping at her home......her former church and 'what her pastor said".......her "trailer parker" lifestyle and so on......Sarah should have acknowledged that "going rogue" on a major national campaign wasn't very Smart..........................especially when she was soooo Dumb from the beginning......She is Unteachable..........and that is Dangerous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's a Joke!!!!!!!! //WANTING TO HOLD OBAMA FOR WHAT SOMEELSE SAID IS HER STYLE.....NON SUBSTANCE! CLASSLESS AND A SIGN OF DESPERATION.

I don't want to voice my support for Sarah Palin because I do believe it will start another round of vicious attack against her.

Sad for the so called journalists. They never report what this woman did for ALASKA in a short 2 years term. They report and spead the rumors instead.

Sarah,.. there isn't enough mascara to hide your lying eyes,... the face that can sink a thousand campaigns,.. the fact is , Palin was an albatross around the MaCain's neck,... when old man MacCain needed a life jacket,... he was thrown a straight jacket,... when he needed a buoy, he was thrown an anchor, ..Sarah was his undoing. This woman is not even worthy, to be on the same stage as Obama.

You are really on a roll today CNN. Every other article on the ticker is your favorite punching bag. I agree with another poster, where is that article about the President bowing to the Japanese emperor? That's not news but everything Palin has done or has been accused of doing is put on the ticker so the libs can continue to pummel her? The comments from the left are truly disgusting and yet some try to hide them in righteousness. The hypocrisy is unbelievable and most probably don't even care or realize how truly hateful they are to this woman.

  17. Too bad she cant watch "Charmed"

She can make whatever issue she wants out of Rev. Wright. But then will she openly discuss her casting out of witchcraft by her pastor at her church? google palin witchcraft" for vid.

Regarding Rev. Wright, he wasn't running for office, Barack Obama was. And what the McCain campaign understood (and which Palin apparently couldn't get her pretty little head around) is that if they made a big deal out of Rev. Wright, her own pastor would have been fair game.

For those who missed that freak show, there's plenty of video showing not only Palin's pastor speaking nonsense about "demons" and the U.S. involved in a "holy war," the footage shows Palin in the thick of it all, smiling and agreeing with everything that loony-tune said.

I'm laughing...if all they have is a non brainer like Sarah' the quitter' Palin....bring her on. I am sick of this woman and certainly proud that she is not in my party. That Palin appeal only goes to the worst of political fear. I believe she should have realized long ago she is the most unprepared, less educated...lip stick piece of garbage that a struggeling party could want. If she represents the repubs....they are all laughable.

New Gingrich, John McCain and others have advised that Palin needs to move forward and stop rehashing the past because there is much work ahead for Republicans. Instead of Palin focusing on Obama she needs to focus on her disfunctional family and of course Hillary Clinton has already knocked her out of the box. Palin continues to do more harm to the party than the party itself.

Once again, Palin doesn't take responsibility for anything negative – she blames "the liberals."

For her information – and everyone else who is also incapable of personal accountability – I have plenty of Republican and Libertarian friends and family who thought McCain came across as a grumpy hothead in that debate, an old man who seemed totally teed-off that Obama was not only a more level-headed person for all to see, but an awful lot smarter.

It is clear that Palin does not hold Obama in high regard? This witch is a total unintelligent moron. Read any newspapers lately, SARAH?

The only people who hold this nitwit in high regard are the nitwits that populate the entire putrid Republican party. I hope the party slides into the cesspool it has created for itself.

President Obama was the man running for president .... not the Rev. Wright. IF you want to go into religion ... how about Palin's church where she speaks in tongues or the strange exorcism caught on tape... and not allowed , as a woman, to speak from the pulpit .... being required – by her religion – to submit to her husband ... does that mean the "first Dude" would be the one in charge???

Oh yeah, and I believe she wrote this. Too many multiple sylable words. You betcha.
All she has to do is roll over in bed to find one of the biggest America haters. Her husband wants to be President of Alaska.
