Giuliani to reiterate criticism of Obama's terror trial decision

(CNN) – Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will headline a conference call Wednesday with national reporters to criticize the Obama administration's decision to hold Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's trial in New York.

The call is being organized by the Republican National Committee.

Giuliani has been very vocal, including in an interview Sunday on CNN's State of the Union with John King, about his opposition to having the trial take place in New York.

I hope the reporters also play his remarks from 2006 when he was in favor of this. I think Rudi spends his days arguing with himself, which says a lot about his mental state. He could be in big trouble when he starts losing the argument, though.

This Faux News Conference bought and paid for by the Terrorist Industrial Complex, sponsors of the foaming-rabid right wing of the Republican Party.

When at first you don't succeed, lie, lie, again. Eh Rudy? By the way, how is your good buddy, Bernard Kerik, doing?

Rudy Guiliani never made sense and will not make sense now. He is simply playing politics. As a former New Yorker, I know him well.
He is disrespectful, arrogant and name seeking.

"NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO" say the republicans.

doesn't matter what the issue is, they'll just say "no".

when will they try to be part of the solution instead of just being part of the problem.

Who is Giuliani and why is anyone listening to him? The last I heard, Giuliani was another republican bigot with zipperitis who came in tied for last place in the republican presidential primary.

Darn is he going to 9/11 this, 9/11 that, 9/11, 9/11,9/11. You know like kinda sorta the way he screamed it for the time he was in office. What a joke. If there was any republican out there that you could call a real true American we sure as Hades can't see them. they are all a bunch of immature kids jealous because they can't run the country any more and want to stop everything and anything to help the people of this country.

THE MOST UNPATRIOTIC, TREASONISTS, BUNCH OF CRAP TO EVERY LIVE IN OUR GREAT COUNTRY. Why in the devil don't they all go to blazes and leave real Americans alone. Put this in your pipe and smoke it CNN. and push it aside like you do any comments about the GOP.

  16. We Won Get Over It

Forgot this...they took a poll and the republicans are the ones who are complaining about having the trial in New York. The rest of the country is comfortable with it. And the ethic group is white, the age is old, and the gender men...so old white republican men are against having the trial in New York..Now who in the world would have thought that...tsk tsk tsk.

Right, and surely Rudy and the conservatives were equally as upset when Bush and Cheney were bringing 195 indictments and convictions of terrorists, including the 20th 9-11 hijacker and shoe bomber Richard Reid, in civilian courts, and placing them in federal supermax prisons on US soil.

Since this trial will take very long, will the accused also get a government plan for his healthcare?

Hypocrite! Yes, Rudy Giuliani is a hypocrite. He supported the 2006 trial of terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui in a civilian court. In his word, mayor 'Rudy 'hypocrite' Giuliani said, "We are a nation of laws". So what in God's name is he ranting about now? The answer is simple. The Zacarias Moussaoui 2006 trial was orchestrated by a Republican administration, so it was the best thing in the world and this one is to be done by a Democratic administration and so, it is the worst thing in the world. This shows that Rudy Giuliani does not have principles. He is just a flip flopper. Yes, he called Mitt Romney that in their 2008 Presidential primaries and yet he is the one that is a flip flopper. Just shut up Mr. Giuliani and go home.

Giuliani sadly exposes his blatant hypocrisy with a complete flip-flop on this issue. Just 3 years ago, Rudy made the following statement about trying the 20th hijacker in our federal court:

"I think there is value in demonstrating to people what America is like–that we can have these kind of emotional disagreements, but that there is a law and we will follow it."

Of course, that was notably under a Republican president for GOPer Giuliani...
    Nonsense.

Rudy praised the decision to try other terrorists in US courts in the past. He is such a hypocrite!

I believe in our legal system, and I know the fine professionals who work at our federal maximum security prisons can do a heck of alot better than Blackwater and other corrupt (read Cheney) contractors did in Iraq.

it is funny how Giulani thought New Yorkers were strong when the terroist attack New York but think we are too weak to get through the trial.
in other words he is saying A mother can be strong enough to survive the murder of her child but not strong enough to deal with the the trial of the murderer.
Giulani get a clue We welcome the trial We want to see they face and look them in the eye when they are sentance to life in prison or to death.
Giulani is Speaking for him-self not the people of NewYork. As A New Yorker I want JUSTICE not have them hidden away on some base with out paying for what they did.

  24. too bad the republiklans lack ideas

Giuliani was a witness in the trial of the 20th 911 hijacker in a civil court proceedings in 2006; and he praised the decision of the courts and civil trial process....No surprise here that he is now a turn coat and railing against a constitutional system he once praised and was actively involved in.

This dimwit is a Hypocrite! Yes, Rudy Giuliani is a BIG FAT UGLY hypocrite!!!
