OFA fundraising off Palin book tour

Washington (CNN) - The Democratic Party's fundraising off of Sarah Palin's "dangerous" book tour.

"Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn," wrote Organizing for America director Mitch Stewart in a message sent to supporters Friday.

"It's dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term 'Death Panels' - and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists. Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform.

The group, the president's political arm at the Democratic National Committee, set a goal of raising $500,000 over the next week "to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies." OFA said the contributions will be used to respond to those attacks via ads, events, and phone banking congressional offices.

Sarah Palin should offer a complimentary copy of Levi's beefcake spread to go along with her guide to burning crosses, fearing Muslims and reading your bible.

She's an airhead, but because she is so attractive, she gets all this attention. No one would give her the time of day if she looked like the average woman politician. She has no substance whatsoever, and her supporters have the nerve to call Obama an "empty suit". Well, she's an empty head!!

The truth hurts they say. The death panel has already spoken. Women under 50 are worth losing to death by breast cancer to save resources. This is just a start.

Sarah Palin represents all that liberals are opposed to. They will do anything to her or anyone else to have their way. The only problem is a mere 20% of the voting populace call themselves liberal. 40% identify as conservative and 40% independent. She is appealing to that independent segment more and more all the time. And the more the liberals persecute her the more they gravitate toward her. Please keep it up liberals.

Sarah has a impressive record of accomplishments; Obama has no record of accomplishments.

Sarah Palin will do a better job then Obama.

relative to the liberal democratic agenda, nothing Sarah Palin could do would be dangerous....it's amazing the media coverage that she gets, all while not even being an elected official....yet, back in Washington, Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the other liberal hacks are destroying and dismantling our country...and CNN's worried about Sarah Palin....

I love this article (sarcasm). Throughout all of her book tour stops and media events she has not once attacked Obama...just the misguided Dem policies. As to partisan...the dems are just as partisan...."you agree with me your bipartisan, you disagree obviously partisan."

As to qualifications...how can a Governer of a state be not qualified to be president but a community organizer and a Senator for 2 years be qualified...? /boggle

Anyone who says Palin spoke of "death panels" are the liars. Her August 7, 2009 statement is still on her facebook page – you can read it for yourself. She used the singular "death panel" (no "s")and, although lots of folks argue that the insurance companies currently fill that role, what she wrote is, nonetheless, true.

I love this country dearly and what truly scares me is that so many so called patriots would flush our country down the toilet to support an idiot like Plain. Wasn't Bush enough? Why do y'all hate America so much?

I do not exclude Democrats from my complaint. At this point we were discussing Republicans and Sarah Palin.

Those Democrats who do not want us to have insurance that is equivalent to their own are no better. It just seems that the Republicans with few exceptions will not back equalization of health care for all Americans. John Boehner and Mitch McConnell lead the way. The do not have a good thing to say about anything particularly health insurance.

Coincidence that the newest recommendations are to delay mammograms and cervical exams?

Let the rationing and decline of our healthcare begin and because someone else is deciding what's best for you and what treatment you will get, the result is.........death panels.

I simply wanted to add to the discussion about the defition of rogue. Rogue has many definitions. Some examples include charlatan, good-for-nothing and hack.
A few others are headstrong, independent and strong-willed.
In the manner that Mrs. Palin was using the word 'rogue' I'm sure she meant it as independent. I'm also pretty sure that is what the McCain people meant when they charged that she was going 'rogue'. Like her or not, there is no cause for all the hatred.
GET OVER IT!! You aren't going to be able to get EVERYONE to agree with you. Just like she won't get everyone to agree with her, it is just not possible, at least, not in a civilized soceity.
People that don't agree with you aren't automatically uneducated, rednecks or trash. So stop with that argument, it just makes you sound like an uneducated sterotype.

A lot of small minds and even smaller hearts. It is wiser to let people think you might be a fool than opening your mouth and proving you are. Tolerance and acceptance does not exist here.

What do you people expect to accomplish?

Foolish stupidity!! Our children must be proud of us. And when they become us – we have no one else to blame.

Mention the words Sarah Palin and watch all these hateful liberals come out of the woodwork. Sure seems strange they are interested more in bashing Sarah Palin then they are about the country being put in debt for ever by the current administration. Obama has been in office a year now and the mint can't print money fast enough to pay all the bills his administration and him are running up. I wonder how the younger generations are going to survive. It is going to be worse than the great depression..

Sarah Palin in the Anti-Christ. Members of the GOP are her followers. GOP just wants power, that is why they are changing what they stand for. But when they get control again, they will turn on the American people like they did when they crumbled Americas economy and defense for the last eight years.

I hope she stays on the circuit and keeps talking up the republican party of No. It is a sure fire way to re-elect the dems in 2012.
    You betcha!

Sarah Palin is right...there are death panels...BY insurance companies, FOR insurance companies.

Nataline Sarkisyan was a beautiful 17 year old California girl who died because of denial of care by her insurer. Her team of doctors at UCLA Medical Center deemed the procedure necessary to her survival and appealed the insurance company's refusal to approve treatment. Upon mass media intervention, as Nataline's story spread around the globe, the insurance company reversed its decision in the hours prior to her death.

That, my friends, is a Death Panel.

The media is giving way to much coverage to a person who is not politically viable now or in the future. her only agenda appears to be in the spotlight. She offers no tangible solutions, moreover she is distracting everybody with her presence, When will the media and the rest of the Country come to this conclusion. She belongs on a tabloid, not on CNN.

Great! Call that lying-fear-mongerer OUT! The only reason her book is selling so many copies is because they're practically giving them away at BARGAIN BASEMENT PRICES! All of a sudden Crazy-Palin remembers a magazine she reads . . . NEWSMAX! Just happens to be the right-wing RAG that is giving away copies of her book with subscriptions!
