OFA fundraising off Palin book tour

Washington (CNN) - The Democratic Party's fundraising off of Sarah Palin's "dangerous" book tour.

"Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn," wrote Organizing for America director Mitch Stewart in a message sent to supporters Friday.

"It's dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term 'Death Panels' - and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists. Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform.

The group, the president's political arm at the Democratic National Committee, set a goal of raising $500,000 over the next week "to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies." OFA said the contributions will be used to respond to those attacks via ads, events, and phone banking congressional offices.

You people are "Palin Paranoid!" I have never seen such raging, irrational and bizarre behavior toward someone as decent as Sarah Palin. I thought the pathological hatred of George W. Bush was insane the last 8 years, but, the treatment of Gov. Palin has sunk to the sewer of political discourse. Shame on all of you!

Why are the democrats so scared to death of Ms. Palin?
What are they hiding, and why does it take so much money ($500,000) for them to try to shut her up? Why shut her up at all? If she's so 'dumb' as people what to put forth, then why does the Dem's waste time and money on squelching her comments?

It is the Republican way to have a "Tour of Lies and Hate" and can't think of a better person to be the cult leader, then Palin. It is extremely embarrasing to watch these people line up and part with their hard earned money to buy a book of lies. The fact checking has been done and the biik barely has any truth to it. It is a very sad stae of affairs when a celebrity is born and she can outright lie and make millions from it. Every other country in the world must be laughing their heads off at this spectacle. And why is it that the more educated one is the less likely thet are to purchase the book of lies, sorta say's it all

Sarah is a liar...and those that believe her lies are mentally should seek help. Does your current health insurance cover mental illness? It will when the Democrats cram this bill down the Republican's pie hole!

I am disguisted by Ms Palin. Her "folksy" fakeness. Pandering of troops (Ft Hood), trying always to make an issue where is is none. Makes me what to puke.

    Hope and Change. ?????

    Total Failure.

Then there is Alaska, which is one of the few places making progress in developing energy resources...thanks in a large part to Palin taking on everyone head on and then making things work. Yep, even took on the oil companies (not as enemies but in business dealings) and she and consequently Alaska prevailed.

Best Obama's team can up with are mercury-filled corkscrew light bulbs. Oh, and slaughtering babies about to be born. You want hyperbole? I can give you that, but mine is fact-based.

I really find myself laughing at the comments about how the Dems are afraid of Palin....the Republican herd of sheep must have all been listening to Limbaugh earlier today!

Sarah Palin a threat? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Boy, am I afraid of her. Ha ha ha ha. What I'm concerned about is that there are people who actually think this stupid woman could be president. She couldn't even write her own book, or hold any of the jobs she had. GOP FAIL.

Why are people so afraid of Sarah Palin? She holds no office. I've never seen such an outburst of attacks. The media is like the school bully. Why don't we look at the Sen. from La. and the $100m she got for her Health Care vote. Will the AP put 11 reporters on that as they did Palin's book.? Whatever your feelings on the former Gov. politics, we should all find this beyond the pale.

Sarah Palin has my full support. How hypocritical of the Dems to accuse her of lying when all they've done is lie since the Clinton Administration.

  13. Why do Republican'ts hate America so much?

"Why are you/the Democratic party so afraid of Sarah Palin?"

We're not. We're afraid of the lunatic-fringe that she is inciting to violence. All patriotic Americans should be afraid of that.

I don't hink the Dems are afraid of her they just like her comedy routine she is whoring across the country. Can't say anymore than what has been said.
Cannot believe people will pay $29.00 for her book and wait in
line on top of it. The smart ones (if there are any) will buy it at
Walmart ($8.99) and the book will then show a loss. It should have never been printed in the first place.

Democrats getting wee weed up with Sarah Palin. They're all afraid of her, but the worst fear they're facing is from the American people especially from senior citizens and independent voters. 2010 & 2012 can't come soon enough. January 2010 according to CNN MONEY 1 million Americans will lose their UNEMPLOYMENT CHECK BENEFITS if Congress doesn't extend it. Where! Oh where Congress will get the money? Beijing told Obama to shape up!

Love her or hate her you can’t deny that her message is resonating and that she is taking Obama’s policies to task. Latest poll 47% of voters say they approve of the President's performance. Fifty-two percent (52%) disapprove.

This woman followers are truly pathetic, to hear these people in the forum talk about how much more experienced Sarah Palin is to be President over Barrack Obama.....

I think the majority of Americans really thought we as a nation had smarter people here, but after hearing Palins supporters, it's obvious we have a large portion of the population thats dumber than a box of rocks......

To their credit, I know their support for Palin is driven by Palins constant jealous criticism of our President...

Lets just be honest here, most of these people are driven by the Racial Hatred of having a Black President, and Palin vents their anger through her stupidity....

The same thing holds true with why Rush Limbaugh loves and adores Sarah Palin, it's Palins constant jealous criticism of Barrack Obama, same thing can be said as to why Sarah Palin loves Glenn Beck, any person thats intelligent can connect those dots.....!

Only thing that scares us is that there are fools such as yourself still left in this world who believe her garbage.

Focusing on Sarah gets the focus off of Obama and his losing administration's destruction of our economy. Remember it's the economy stupid, so say goodbye to Barack, Harry, and Nancy (and alot of other Dems) as the unemployment numbers hit 12% and no one believes there it's Bush's fault excuses. They could not run a lemonade stand without losing money.
