OFA fundraising off Palin book tour

Washington (CNN) - The Democratic Party's fundraising off of Sarah Palin's "dangerous" book tour.

"Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn," wrote Organizing for America director Mitch Stewart in a message sent to supporters Friday.

"It's dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term 'Death Panels' - and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists. Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform.

The group, the president's political arm at the Democratic National Committee, set a goal of raising $500,000 over the next week "to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies." OFA said the contributions will be used to respond to those attacks via ads, events, and phone banking congressional offices.

Finally an organization that is willing to stand up for what is right. I don't care if people disagree with the president's policies., but the blatant disrespect and race baiting, drama, divisive lies and statements from this woman is beyond the pail. she and mccain did not win. sarah palin did not finish her term as gov., she continues to be self serving and milk her fifteen minutes of fame. she continues to exploit the bad economic times people are feeling but she is getting paid by this book tour. she wants to go to fort hood and bragg to profile and agitate. she has shown she does not have any patience for diversity, yet she loves America. I admire Huckabee for finally speaking out and I demand boehner and cantor to follow suit. enough already. be the so called leaders you claim to be . stop exploiting people and try helping the american people and yes that means working together to get something done. not letting palin, limbaugh, beck continue to fuel the hatred that they love. i have yet to see any of them at a soup kitchen, volunteering at a free clinic, or a school. no they rather spout hatred and palin is the queen bee of them all

Its funny how politicians keep attacking eachother and waste good tax payers money on agendas instead of trying to come together for the sake of American's...

It's deliberate, I feel like a lot of the people on Capital Hill like eachother behind the scenes and the real agenda is to keep the facade of a political civil war going on so the people will be in disillusion...

Sorry I dont buy the fakeness

"If the Republicans and Joe Lieberman would give up their health care or pay more to help reduce costs to Americans I might have some interest in what they say. The portion paid by the "employer" comes from our taxes. Funny they don't talk about that."

Excuse me but what about the Dems???? Are you saying they should keep thier healthcare??? Because thier health care reform includes free lifetime 100% healthcare for the Politicians and thier families. If they are going to reform healthcare the Politicians (Red and Blue) should have the same coverage and pay the same as the rest of us!!!

I dont know why every body is so against this woman. I love having her in the media spotlight, its a constant source of entertainment.

For those that think she should be president, I point you to rants of Ghadhafi and Chavez at the UN and how everybody thought those guys were insane. Yes that will be us if she is elected; we will be the laughing stock of the world.

vjunior: Palin cannot hold a candle to Obama. She has no relevant experience and has botched every job she has held. She left Wasilla in debt and made a circus out of the Governor's office in Alaska. She was a problem in many ways long before the VP nomination.

Silly, silly lefties. We all know that Joe Biden is a mensa-in-training. There's a real genius. Barack is an amateur and needs to make up his mind and then stick to it. Last time I checked this was America and Sarah has a right to speak and write. And, she's not running for anything. Duh!

Liar. Hypocrite. Quitter. What else do we need to know about Sarah Palin that she hasn't already demonstrated by her own despicable behavior?

It's no wonder why Palin continues to inspire many. I have the sinking suspicion however, that the same people who are buying her book are the same people who believe all that they need to do to fit into a sexy bikini is wash down a diet pill with a diet coke...when they already tip the scales at 350lbs.

God Bless the 'Real America' who believes Jesus was an American...and a Right Christian Republican.

Sad, very sad...yet laughable for reason of the actual truth that is portrayed.

Why is a political interest attacking someone whos is not running for any office? Do we really want PACs going after our citizenry?

If she is so off kilter then why waste time and money trying to counteract her issues and statments. Let Sarah do it to herself. If she is so wrong the truth will come out. Why would the DNC be so concern with a little book tour if there wasn't some truth to what she was saying. Let her hang herself out to dry if it's going to happen. The more you try and put her down, the more she looks to be right-no pun intended.

Is it just me or am I seeing the fear and panic in our Presidents eyes? I firmly believe that he has finally awakened to the fact that his borrowing and entitlement programs along with two wars have destroyed our economy. I am still amazed at the posts blaming Bush for the economy, yes he did his contribution but listening to Turbo Tim blame the economy on Bush yesterday almost made me puke! Where was Timmy boy working the past 8 years and what policies did he assist in enacting? This whole mess of derivatives meltdown in the housing market started with Greenspan in the Clinton years. People forget that there is a cause and effect for every economic policy enacted and sometimes those effects are felt well after an Administrations 8 years are up. Bottom line, wake up as we are all in this together, vote ALL of these bums out and put some people in office that have some leadership experience, common sense and above all some integrity! It is supposed to be a patriotic duty to serve your country in the House and Senate, not a freaking life long career! 2010 and 2012 restart our Nation!

Anyone who believes that Sarah Palin is "TRUTHFUL" is still in a dream world. This woman is a "LOW-LIFE" individual seeking to exploit those who are willing to spend a buck on her. Just look at the places where she's taking her TRASH to deliver. It's just about money and her family. Only In America!

Sarah Palin said she ranked president Obama at 4!!!!!
Really don't understand if this person has brain or not? If Obama is at then what rank she would be at? A person who did not even know what magazine she reads, who said because Russia is close to Alaska that made her become an foreign expert, now this person tries to rank the resident.
This Sarah Palin has no brain, her IQ is so low that she does not even know what she is talking about

Please, anyone who supporets this person in un American? She is asking valid questions and the only way the Dems are answering is by attacking her and others who are asking the same questions. Answer the questions.

You want to put your faith in a massive government program when the goverment has never shown the ability to run anything without massive overruns, and fraud? You believe the CBO when it says this will not add to the deficit? When have they ever been right with their estimates before? How do add so many people to the system without increasing supply?

Wake up, people. We have a huge deficit caused in large part by Bush, but now being balooned by Obama. And now you want to add this to the mix? It doesn't add up. If you would stop blindly listening to the people feeding you this junk, you might see it for what it is. A massive entitlement program that we can't afford.

The sad thing is, it will probably pass. The reckonning comes next year for Congress. You Dems will suffer horribly at the polls and you'll have only yourselves to thank for turning Congress back over to the Republicans.

you are absolutely correct. i have come to realize that alot of americans have very short memories, are largely uninformed and unfailingly gullible. they are putty in the hands of loudmouth troublemakers from the right like palin, beck and lard*#% limbaugh! get ready! they will stop at nothing, no made up fact is too far fetched.....BEWARE!

The Dems are really afraid of Palin. I'll betcha those calling her book lies haven't even read it. Those who have have an agenda and would call it a bunch of lies anyway. Let's face it the glow of Obama is beginning to dim. He is on his way to the bottom of the barrel as a President. I think that Palin is a galvanizing person and will move the electorate to the center right. I kind of doubt that she will be the GOP nominee in 2012.

Sarah Palin is a great woman and a true patriot. No amount of left-wing propaganda can change that. I look forward to buying her book, and supporting her in her future political career.

CNN do your job: It has been said over and over that there were no death panels in the bill. That is something that Palin dreamed up in order to rile the extremists. End of life counseling has always been a part of health care. You should try checking the facts sometime instead of listening to this uneducated whacko.

i find it oh so amusing that people will say that they hate this woman, and yet they do not even know her and do not want to get to know her. How can you say you hate someone if you have never met them? i dont dislike someone simply because my neighbor dislikes them. that doesnt make sense at all. until you can meet and chat with a person, do not pretend that you know what they are all about. instead of being a follower why wont you become a leader?Think for yourself man and stop listening to the haterds of this nation. its okay, i promise, for you to like people regardless of their political affiliation.
