Santorum adds South Carolina to 2012 itinerary

Former Sen. Rick Santorum will visit the crucial primary state of South Carolina in December.
Former Sen. Rick Santorum will visit the crucial primary state of South Carolina in December.

Washington (CNN) – Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum doesn't appear to be shy about his 2012 intentions.

The Republican, who was thumped by 18 points in his 2006 re-election bid, has met with conservative activists in Iowa, delivered a speech to a Right to Life dinner in Michigan and has stepped up his public criticism of President Obama.

Now he's headed to another early primary state: South Carolina.

Santorum will campaign for Republican gubernatorial candidate Gresham Barrett in Bluffton, Spartanburg and Greenville on December 8 and 9. Barrett, currently a member of Congress, is one of five candidates seeking the GOP nomination for governor.

"I'm also looking forward to visiting with South Carolina families to discuss the issues that matter to them and the future of this country," Santorum said in a statement announcing the trip. "Too much is at stake to sit back and not participate in the critical discussion of how to address these issues."

Rick, get a real job, one you are more suited for. Politics isn't for you. You have a natural smirk (lots of us do; sorry) that turns people off. You have an unfortunate manner of speaking down to people, especially when you are outclassed and know it. It is sometimes a pathetic show to watch. Sorry.

Do your work behind the scenes (lots of us do-it's fun, rewarding) and stay the heck out of our faces. Please.

This guy hasn't got a prayer!!!!.........Now sit down and shut up you fool, you're a nobody with an ego so big that it's obviously blocking out the light of reason...........You're an irrelevant nobody..........Look up the word irrelevant in the dictionary and you'll find this guy's picture next to it, along with the "worded" description..........Loser!!!!

Rick is a conniving dupe. Perfect for the GOP. A low functioning ideologue who used a few wedge issues to get elected in PA - until the voters caught on.

Don't be fooled, Rick doesn't believe in anything, he only believes in getting elected and getting back on the public dole!

And remember, this guy and his wife brought home their dead infant so that their other kids could "kiss it goodbye." In some places that's called child abuse, but in Rick's bizarre, sanctimonious world, it's considered "normal."

    God help us!

Santorum is a nut-bag, we were so glad to vote him out of office here in PA. Good-riddance.

Who cares? He could not even get re-elected Senator. What value is his endorsement? Some politicians seem to have outsized egos; well beyond their actual worth to any party or cause.

Santorum is just the sort of paranoiac, superstitious, narrow-minded, self-righteous, bigot that drove me out of the Republican Party.

It ain't about the people of South Carolina for sure it's about nobody but Santorum and that's why he is a "former senator".

That's right – publicly step up your criticism of President Obama – that is the prerequisite for being President in 2012............DON'T YOU FOOLS KNOW BY NOW THAT PRESIDENT OBAMA – IF HE DECIDESE TO RUN – WILL WIN IN 2012.........

While YA'LL are BULL-SIPPING, you may not even be up against President Obama in 2012 – He may not even run – then WHAT??? What are your PLANS?? What is your AGENDA??? How do you stand on the Health Care Reform because it is NOT gong away!!!................. Thought so – YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY PLANS!!!

You may be up against Hillary Clinton in 2012.............!!!! YES WE CAN!
