exit plans are only as good as the power that is in washington at the time they come DUE. The democrats will be thrown out in 2010 – in droves – and any exit plan will be revisted depending on what happens AT THAT TIME.

I am a mom of a marine that has been on standby waiting to ship over for 5 months waiting for this bone head to effectively agree to what the generals asked for all along – just diterhing around with some language here and there. I am disgusted with the politics this moron played with our kids lives. As it is, our kids will now be shipped over at Xmas time, which I think this driviling idiot planned as well – given his disdain for the military and their families.

Let's get ready to get ready....and stand by to stand by.

If Obama really wanted to achieve victory in Afghanistan, the troops would be on their way over. I don't see any reason for withholding troops, unless you're going to quit.

Failure is always an option with this guy.

Oh, and Dominican mama 4 Obama, Republicans enlist and serve, Democrats do not. Or if they do they head for Canada at the first sign of deployment.

  3. tax the rich

One democrat lawmaker suggests we confiscate (tax) the so-called rich an extra 1-5% to pay for the war effort. As if the non-rich shouldn't share in the sacrifice? Thanks Obama for furthering your agenda of weath re-distribution from those who earned their money...you know, those evil business owners.

It's difficult for Obama to send reinforcements to kill his muslim brothers; take it easy on him.

Yeah, Dutch, maybe Bush should have dithered...and let us get attacked again and again...or, better yet, maybe Obama will give the Ft Hood murdering muslim a ticker tape parade....it's amazing how shallow the loyalities of true Americans run

You can almost see the anger in his demeanor and how it may be impossible to hold him back from punishing those terrorists that killed all those Americans in NY and Washington DC!

    Okay, maybe not.

Bush got us into this mess.
Thanks to Bush, we can't just "walk" out of the mess.
Thanks to Bush, the US has no choice but to keep on fighting wars the American people didn't want.

President Obama can't just say, "Okay, everybody come on home." Bush's actions prevented that from ever happening no matter who the president following him was - heck, even McCain (clueless as he was) wouldn't have been able to do that.

WHY hasn't Bush been arrested, tried and convicted like the war criminal he is? WHY are we having to clean up his messes when these messes should never have existed in the first place?

Could we all just simmah down for crying out loud.

If Bush were still pres we would be out of there by now? Really?

Its comments like most of these that show the absolute true ignorance and insipidness that is the lunatic right.

Go back to school, calm down and take a deep breath. If any of you were president we would all probably be invaded or dead by now.

Bush would have us out of there... LOLOLOL!

The delay makes it so much "Obama war" either way he decides. He cannot anymore blame Bush: not for this not for Iraq. When they keep on blaming the previous administration at this point they look like little kids! Did not Obama run knowing well the situation and what needs to be done?!?? So will he say "I am putting 40,000 troops in but it is only because Bush did not do it??!! Sounds ridiculous to me!

Read Bush's lips...he didn't even care about winning in Afganistan because he and Dick Cheney wanted war in Iraq instead even before 9/11. You neoCON's are delusional and hide your heads in sand ignoring reality.

Well, at least a decision is coming soon. Unfortunately, those in combat can't take weeks and weeks to make a decision. As I've said before, if the President wants to pull out, do it. If he wants to increase troops, do it. Just please make a decision for the sake of the troops already in Afghanistan. That's the least we can do for them.

Why can't we admit it thatit is the conservitives in this country that will ruin this country even more then they did already.

Bush and most of his cabnet need to be tried and exicuted in front of the capitol for there treason. Then, All the congressmen who are conservitives need to be next.

Then we will be able to bring real change, healthecare for all humans, no more wars, and we can win the war on climate change and save the planet for our children.

And if anyone is caught voting for a social consirvitive, he should be arrested.

Wake up everyone and realize that the Conservatives in office, and FOX news and talk radio will destroy this country if true patriots don't destroy them first.

Give me a break. This guy is a weak,slick-talking,inept bureaucrat! I'm glad I did'nt share my foxhole with this guy.
