Fueling speculation, Dobbs appears to soften on key issue

Dobbs latest comments on illegal immigration are raising eyebrows.

(CNN) - The same week Lou Dobbs suggested he would consider running for the White House in 2012, the former CNN anchorman appears to be softening his stance on his signature issue of illegal immigration.

In an interview with the Spanish-language network Telemundo gaining attention Wednesday, Dobbs told interviewer Maria Celeste he is one of the Latino community's "greatest friends" and appeared willing to embrace a form of amnesty he spent years criticizing.

"What isn't working is a penalty to those who are in this country illegally for whom we can both be building a bridge to the future in which there is legalization and at the same time constructing an environment in which everyone is clear and unequivocal about the need for boarder security and a regulated flow of immigration," Dobbs said.

"I want to engage in a meaningful and constructive dialogue, and work with those who will work toward real solutions," the former CNN anchorman also said, maintaining his position on immigration hasn't changed despite what appears to be a more moderate stance. "I think we need to honestly come together, those who have differing views…and make some real progress toward an understanding a compromise for those who are in this country illegally."

Dobbs also brushed aside suggestions he is the "No. 1 enemy" of the Latino community, saying that image is a result of propaganda "efforts of the far left."

"Whatever you have thought of me in the past," Dobbs said, "I can tell you right now that I am one of your greatest friends and I mean for us to work together. I hope that will begin with Maria and me and Telemundo and other media organizations and others in this national debate that we should turn into a solution rather than a continuing debate and factional contest."

The comments come as Dobbs has fueled speculation the former anchorman may have his eye on politics as a second act, either in 2012 as a presidential candidate or as a challenger to New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez, the only Hispanic in the Senate.

In an interview with Washington radio station WTOP Monday Dobbs said a 2012 run is "one of the discussions that we're having," though he did not indicate if he'd run as a Republican or third-party candidate.

Meanwhile, Robert Dilenschneider, a spokesman for Dobbs, told the New York Times Tuesday the former anchorman may take the "intermediary step" of challenging Menendez.

"I think Lou is realistically saying, that's a long way off, but if he did run for office there'd have to be an intermediary step, such as the Menendez seat," he said .

Dobbs amicably parted ways with CNN earlier this month. The former anchor's strong views on illegal immigration have made him a lightning rod for criticism from Hispanic groups, and a popular figure in some conservative quarters.

I'm a voter first and foremost, and speaking as a voter Lou Dobbs is a viable option for the GOP in 2012. I saw him making nice-nice on tv the other nite trying to clean the debris off the bridge with an outreach to Hispanic voters. I hope he doesn't get "black-balled" off of the GOP's list for not adhering to the tenets of their "constitution".

You CNN idiots are amazing. Dobb's resigned and you still criticize him. None of you CNN Obamanuts ever listened to what Lou was saying. He NEVER said he was against amnesty, only certain forms of it. The liberals want to welcome all illegals and just give them amnesty, whereas Lou wants to give some amnesty based on certain criteria.

How funny Lou Dobbs is not trying to suck up to the Latino community because he is thinking of running for President after years of critisizing illegal immigrants and amnesty. He is becoming the typical politician already. Saying anything to get a vote.

Lou, you are truly a moron. You stand no chance in being elected to any office. If you did have the remotest chance, it was with the bigoted anti-immigrant crowd and now you blew that. Stick to being a rabid right wing entertainer like Sarah Palin.

Now that he wants to run for political office, let the double-speak begin. All politicians are guilty of this!!!!! Give me your vote, now what do the PACs want me to do? Our votes mean nothing, just $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

A right-wing wolf in disguise. Many of his comments were absolutely false, including the one where he said that LEGAL immigrant workers DO NOT pay taxes. Absolutely Wrong. Legal Immigrant skilled workers not only pay taxes, they also pay Social Security taxes, the benefits of which is available only after many years.

I've enjoyed watching Lou, although I've not always agreed with his opinions. I have agreed and admired his stance about illegal immigrants. They're not Undocumented Immigrants, they're ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS! The spanish language issue is also another thing I am firm about...you live in America, an engish speaking country, I respect your culture but you've chosen to live in our's. It's not our responsibility to assimilate to your culture, it's your obligation to learn our's. I don't blame them. Our politicians have taken the incentive out of learning and living the American culture. My daughter is 2 and I would like her to learn the language of my ancestors not that of somebody else's. Yet spanish is jammed down our throats at every turn. Shame on Lou for abandoning the American citizens. He'll get no vote from me!

It is very common to these talk show folks to incite people to some rhetoric and capture a following. However, when they think of running for an office, they realize that they have to be in the middle. I think Dobbs have come to that realization and that is why this stepping around the issue. In addition, it was an interview with spanish language network. You cannot expect him to trash immigrants in that interview. Wait and see him on FOX and you will see the old Dobbs again.

Just goes to show you how fake people can be. Dobbs spent a considerable amount of time venting about illegal immigration. I agreed with what he said about it, and now he changes his tune. As far as Dobbs running for the White House in 2012 - we had too many old men for President in the past, and we don't need another one in the future. So Dobbs, go home and sit by the fire.

I have great respect for Lou Dobbs and his opinion on illegal immigration. However, it does sound like he's getting on the political pandering bandwagon now that he's considering a future in politics. There are still many of us out here that know amnesty hasn't worked in the past and won't work this time either. The illegals should not have any more rights in our country than we would have in theirs. They should not get free medical, their babies born here should not be automatic citizens, we should not be educating their children (especially in Spanish). Every other group of people that have immigrated into this country have learned to read, write and speak English. Why not the Hispanics? Our tax dollars are needed for our own legal citizens and legal immigrants.

If he gets all squishy on immigration, forget it. Let's hear what he has to say though. He was insultingly brutal on Bush. Policy criticism was often due, but there was a caustic meanness that left me uneasy. Perhaps it was because he was simply so disgusted with what he saw in some areas. He then seemed nearly as tough with Obama, so he has likely made enemies on both sides. Maybe he has the courage to stand for what he believes is right. We shall see. I need to see what policy solutions would be to his liking. That doesn't mean media interpretation–it means straight from him. I don't need the spin from either side.

Ok CNN, I understand that Dobbs was your guy for a long time, and I don't mean to disrespect him, but after listening to this guy go on and on about illegal immigrants day after day for years has left me incredibly skeptical to what he's saying now. Does this mean he was only saying these things to generate ratings? Does it mean he's trying to kiss up to mexicans (illegal and legal) in a bid for president? Why does it seem like politics is being played?

Please Mr. Dobbs, if you do run ( and I pray you do) Please, please hold to your principals~ we need that. Don't tell the Hispanic / Latino people what you think they want to hear, just to get their vote. Please don't turn into what we already have in Washington~show us some REAL change~not more politics.

I hope Dobbs was not among those who said that Obama was unready to be president because he lacked enough relevant expwerience. We live in a sick political culture in which people with strong opinions are assumed to be competent to govern. Outgassing opinions is a very different skill, and requires a very different set of smarts, from negotiating with Iran, revising the tax code, or managing a protracted war to a proper conclusion. Opinions are fine but they're not a resume. Dobbs is prepared to have a talk show; he's not adequately prepared to govern the US.

While I agree with Mr. Dobbs that any solution to the challenges presented by immigration need to be respectful of the people who are already here and need to involve compromise on all sides, anyone who believes that this position is somehow consistent with his position on CNN is a fool. For years Mr. Dobbs demonized undocumented imigrants in virtually every way possible.

As for Mr. Dilenschneider, he should be immediately fired for even suggesting that the U.S. Senate is an "intermediary step."

For decades our nation has been subjected to the government's lackadaisical support for the security of our borders, ports; mass transit systems; visa applications; foreign student loans; social and health services applications, ETC.

Our government's national security effort has exercised less diligence and effort in border sovereignity for a sustained period time than the average local town cop ticketing Friday night drunk drivers.

Our federal government has challenged US citizens' patriotism and income through the filter of what became the "politically correct" thing to do. These are the results.

I have always felt that Lou Dobbs was a loud mouth idiot who cared less for the issue itself than for the easy targets and audience it brings. He made a lot of money pounding this issue into the ground and few legitimate, well thought out points.

I would call him a hypocrite but since I doubt he ever cared for the issue I think that is a bit disingenuous.

I am certain that this will not cost Lou Dobbs my vote in 2012 since I really never saw a scenario where I would vote for him.

Funny thing about political pundits. They can pound their fists on the table and rail against everything because they don't have to actually do any real work. Like most people in politics he is an opportunist and will say and do most anything to get elected. Right now he is brushing up on his Spanish, and next week he will talk about how his family immigrated and "struggled to achieve the American dream." That he wants to help immigrates" find a way forward" He wants to "cut waste in government" and "improve life for all Americans". Anyone who believes a pundit is serving anything other than their own self interest is a fool.

It is a sad day for CNN to lose such a great News Anchor. There is a huge distrust for both the Republican and Democratic parties in this Country today. Lou Dobbs' Independent views were such a breath of fresh air. Rather than being politically correct at times, he said it like it needed to be said and addressed the issues that needed to be addressed. He is a man who puts America First. I am sorry to say that unless CNN replaces him with another independent voice, I will not be watching CNN near as much as i have been. Lou Dobbs owes it to this Country to run for the The President of the United States in 2012. We need an independent party in this country. This Country must be ran by someone in the middle and what better man than Lou Dobbs for the job! Lou Dobbs in 2012!

There is no more positive sign that Mr Dobbs has his sights on public office then him moderating his extreme position on immigration. If he was going to Fox he'd be going the other way and racheting up the anti-immagrant retoric for the sake of ratings.

Run Lou Run! LOL!!! I guess he stands a better chance than Palin, but that's a sure sign of how little the GOP will have to offer in 2012.

Hearing what Lou had to say here and there in CNN, it quickly became apparent to me that he always failed to distinguise the illigal immigrants with the legal immigrants. I tend to believe that Mr. Dobbs has always been moderate on the subject of immigration but took a more hard line stance on his show to boost his ratings, any talking head with a controversial schtick tends to attract more viewers.

However, he doesn't stand a chance in a presidential run but he could be governor in a right wing leaning state where most of the voters are ignorant enough to believe a wall along the Mexican border would do anything to prevent illegal immigration.

Dobbs also brushed aside suggestions he is the "No. 1 enemy" of the Latino community, saying that image is a result of propaganda "efforts of the far left."
    ----–
See, he's sounding like a politician already. That image came from the vicious inflammatory words that came from his own mouth, his twisting of facts and outright lies. Did the "far left" put all those words in his mouth, put a gun to his head and make him say them, over and over, night after night? Mr. Dobbs; I always considered you a bully at worst, and a misinformed man at best; never did I see you as the hypocrite you also turned out to be. After years of listening to you –by choice, and sometimes by chance– blame the Latino community for all the foes of this country, I find it truly unbelievable now that you will speak of a desire to be "engage in a meaningful and constructive dialogue" and work "towards real solutions". This raises then the question, what exactly was your purpose, during all those years you had an open microphone in front of you? You already had your chance to stop being part of the problem and become part of the solution; but you chose instead to belittle the Latino community day and day out, and to offend the largest minority of this country, under the incorrect belief that we were going to keep quiet forever. Now, when you find yourself without a job at CNN - I guess it won't be long before we see you at FOX News–, now you want to make peace with the Latinos? How disingenuous of you.

Dobbs is a typical hard-core conservative: if you don't look, act, talk, walk and dress EXACTLY LIKE THEM, then they think there's something wrong with you.

Ronald Reagan was NOT a typical conservative – he had his view, but he would not demonize the other side (which is why everyone loved him). I would also say that Mike Huckabee strikes me as an open-minded conservative.

    Hmmmm

I find it interesting to see just how much power the latino community has in and over this country.

They seem to have taken the issue of illegal immigration (it is supposed to be illegal) and turned it into something to use as a political weapon against any american who dares oppose it.

Then all they have to do is sit and wait for time to pass by long enough for the next (I need votes wussy) to realize that he/she wants to run for office.

"Oh really?" You think that it's fine for latinos to come in illegally and I need votes. "Gee, I think I'll cave to your numbers and your political power."

I guess Dobbs is another smooth talkin, millionaire who might like to convince us that he's going to do something useful. He'll be about as useless as the rest our lobbyist owned government officials.

Now that he is out of job, he says, "I can tell you right now that I am one of your greatest friends and I mean for us to work together”

Lou Dobbs is someone who has propagated views that he doesn't even believe in (because past history tells us that he is much smarter about business than his Free Trade rants would suggest). He did this because it was profitable to take advantage of public fear and ignorance and make a profit. In doing so, he propogated that fear and ignorance. This leads to increased hate in America and reduces the effectivness of democracy (which depends upon a well informed public).

Lou Dobbs is the worst kind of human being who's own greedyness led him to turn on his own principles at great cost to society.

  164. Gasman

What an opportunistic hypocritical fraud Lou Dobbs is. It's obvious that Dobbs was told by political consultants that as long as he is seen as the chief inquisitor on the issue of immigration, he will NEVER have a chance at the presidency. Does he think Latinos are stupid enough to believe his sudden conversion?

He will win no Latino votes with his foxhole conversion.

  165. ThinkAgain

Whenever a rabid rightwinger like Dobbs gets called on his behavior (by showing video clips), the response is always to blame the "efforts of the far left."

Since when is holding someone accountable for their actions "far left?"

Dobbs, you can try all you want to "soften" your image in your efforts to weasel your way to the GOP presidential nomination; there's far too much video and audio of you spouting your intolerance to ever convince thinking people that you are anything other than what you so clearly are: a fear-monger and divisive person.

My My, propaganda "efforts of the far left"
I believe he's developed some sort of memory loss.
He should take a look at all the shows that he aired while with CNN. He surely had no help in that department treating the Latino Community as second class citizens.

Anything to get elected. Take your seat next to Pawlenty, Romney, and Palin. It's funny how you were delusional in your opposition to immigrants and now all of the sudden you're the Latino community's "greatest friends". I'm not Latino but I am against your crazy hatred against them and other immigrants.

You just like the rest Mr Dobbs. I won't miss you on CNN. Have fun when you work at Fixed News.

Amazing. I just can't believe the audacity of him to be bashing a community for so long and then say he is "greatest friend". And instead of being accountable for his actions and owning up to it he blames the far left. Real original.

I think Lou Dobbs is a hero. At least he spoke the truth. Thats the problem with this country. Most of the people in this country are in the closet half the time. Oh dear we don't want to talk about the fact, that most of the mexicans in this country are illegally here. They are just hard working people trying to make a living. BLAH BLAH BLAH... the fact is they are all crimmals. Who are getting a FREE ride off the legal US citizens of this country. Now thats the SAD truth. Poor Lou Dodds got the bad end of the stick....This country needs to wake up and start doing something about this injustice thats being done to the American people. Start charging penalties to anyone or company that hires illegals. Hit these companies or people where it counts. In their pocketbooks. Maybe that way they will think twice about hiring illegals then.

I can't believe my ears ... I stopped watching him because he was so intense on this issue. Worse than a dog with a bone ... to the point of being an annoying broken record. I wanted more views on more topics. This, coming so quickly after his career change, smells as a run-of-the-mill polical move. While I wish him well, I hope he comes to his senses and doesn't waste his money on a political campaign. Would rather he stick with what he knows and just be less bias about whatever the current events & issues facing USA are.

I am a Canadian ,but I always laughed whenever he came on air and was introduced as Mr independent.Any reasonable person would read through him in no time, and figure out what side he's pulling for.I thought he used to criticize and blast politicians for pandering to ethnocentric groups. What an hypocrite.

It seems such a waste to me that illegal immigration would be his signature issue. I agree it is an important issue, which needs to be addressed, but I think Dobbs has far more value in his platform with issues regarding harmful (to us) trade agreements, special interests influencing decisions on wars, election integrity & China policy.

Tackling illegal immigration, while a good method to fire up the far right, really pales in comparison to these vastly more important issues. If Mr. Dobbs wishes to stand a chance, he needs to focus more important issues to the forefront. Otherwise, he's only going to attract Palin/Bush Republicans, and 29% does not win an election. He plays his cards right, he could land my (typically Dem) vote.

"Meaningful" and "constructive" are two words I would NOT equate with anything that comes out of Dobbs' mouth. CNN did well by dumping the guy, but they still have much more work to do to bring them out of tabloid status and on the way to real journalism.

It is really funny that Dobbs has been railing against illegal aliens and now finds himself in a predicament if he is planning a run for office. I love his rebuttal regarding criticism and he quickly blames "left wing media" and democrats because of his position while with CNN. He's nothing more than a lying republican by claiming innocence and besides, wasn't he in the media pushing that illegal alien agenda? This guy is the biggest moron! I think Lou is gradually migrating his view on immigration by coming into realization that America is a melting port whose compansion and generosity is equal to no country in the face of the planet. Yes, our border needs to be secured but we can not loose our common sense to realize that those who are already here needs to be legalized even if fines are to be imposed as a mere token of penalty. I can now welcome Lou Dobbs to the fold of those who are pragmatic in their assessment of immigration issues. BUT, the question is whether Lou is pandering as all politicians does in their exploratory stage or whether this is a new man in the making.

The feelings of the Latin community toward Mr. Dobbs are certainly not the result of any propoganda! They stem from Mr. Dobbs arrogant critical words that have been spewed on CNN for far too long. The world is a better place without his vitriol!

This man has publicly and continuously spread his agenda of hate toward Hispanics (illigel or not) for several years on CNN. Now he proclaims he is their "greatest friend" and wants to work closely with them on "immigration reform". Everyone, including Latinos, can see his hypocritical stance on this and all the issues that our nation now faces and how future, presidential canadite Dobbs, will address those issues. He is not a friend to anyone- not Latinos and certainly not the American people. No one can believe that Mr. Dobbs has had a change of heart towards Hispanics, as his "greatest friend" comments come only after his resignation from CNN and his almost certain bid for the White House. This puts him in a race againts who else? Menendez, a Hispanic, who will certainly take any Latino votes from a man who is not about to relent on his well earned title of "No. 1 enemy" of the Latino Community.

Finally he realized that the illegal immigrants he spent so much time demonizing have friends and family who ARE citizens that can vote. Now that he's trying run for office he's "softening" his stance.

Some time ago CNN had a documentary on a family who had their parents deported. The kids who were minors had to take over paying their mortgage and were/still having a hard time dealing with the situation. Those kids ARE citizens and will be voting soon. Good luck getting their votes Lou.

Dobbs is clearly a bit to full of himself. He offers little to benefit anyone, especially the conservative, as he brings nothing to the table. He will quickly learn that if he enters the political arena, that he will be subject to intense scrutiny, and what is likely to be found is he is little more than a talking head with no viable answers for his :"big talk". Let he and Palin run on a combined ticked. That owuld be great fun to watch and the GOP will not see the inside of the White House for 50 years after that.

Lou, do you think for a minute that Latinos are going to fall for that? You think you're going to erase years of constant attacks and innuendos with an appearance on Telemundo and a couple of statements? I guess all those years when you were tearing immigrants apart you didn't think you were going to be in this position and looking to run for office. And now you realize that the Latino vote is crucial. Go ahead, make our day, try running for office. There's no need to remind anyone in the Latino community of who you are and what you really stand for, but if needed, there are so many of your immigrant-bashing programs to choose from. The fact is: you are an enemy of immigrants and the Latino community.

    Interesting, very interesting!

It is very easy to critisize from afar than to be in a position to provide solutions to multitute of problems.

To me Lou Dobbs is not different from average politician; He ccomplains and critisize people for thier actions without having any real alternative solutions to the problems.

It is interesting that he is even considering softening his position on immigration now that he is aiming at office.

He talks down on Spanish and other immigrants as if they are all big time criminals yet he want to have their support sometimes in the future. We will never forget his action and his place in history book.

What really needs to happen in immigration is for the U.S. to hold Mexico to the fire in doing a better job of taking care of their poor. By doing a better job of meeting the basic needs of it's poorest citizens, Mexico could do a lot in reducing the desire to come to the U.S. illegally.

This would allow better enforcement of those who do still cross illegally, by the U.S., along with more money and time to devote towards taking care of the poorest citizens in the U.S.

No one, including Mr. Dobbs, seems to be addressing this. All they want to do is build more walls that desperate people will find a way to break through or climb over.

My My My isn't strange how people change when they have to start considering other humans plight here on earth. We have but one planet for all of us to call home, it's best we start learning to share. I for one think that everyone in this country should pay taxes. Everyone that is employed should have a employer that pays taxes. Everyone should contribute to the medical system. You should not get free medical just because you are here without following the rules. Everyone should have a path to citizenship! But it should not be a free path!

Lou Dobbs is a racist - end of conversation. His beliefs are based in fear, not fact (and apparently a heavy dose of opportunism as well.)

Why is this news? It is disgusting that this water cooler gossip gets national attention.

The "journalist" is more concerned with one man's opinion on a topic that deserves national attention. Seems this issue has all but dropped from sight since the election and the days of W. This is why he left, CNN is more concerned with ratings, than reporting.

I can't believe someone got paid to write that and I can't believe I read it.

Lou Dobbs has a lot of apologizing to perform with Mexico and this public relations stunt just doesn't cut it! With the many years of immigration and illegal diatribes Dobbs has been expounding upon makes one wonder what he was all about. He is married after all to a Latina lady. Why the demagogue aspect to his reporting. It never made any sense since the George W. Bush administration was all about illegal alienation which kept salaries down for his corporate interests which made Dobbs' angst and recoil all the more sel-destructive. Dobbs railed about this to no end and yet was unable to do anything about illegals. It made no sense and now he has to pay for it. Personally, I liked Dobbs' economic savvy but his constant barrage on illegals was simply too much and too long. It never really made much sense and his untimely prospect for political office says likewise!

I watched Lou Dobbs since his Money show. I saw how he turned against the brown skinned immigrants and it was just plain disgusting. Lou got the low hanging fruit ratings with his "hate everyone who is not white" meme. CNN loved that part. Now that his "birther" claims made CNN a laughing stock of the "real" news organizations (not that there are many left), he's persona non grata. So, exactly how will he change the perception of his racist image?
I can't think of anything he could do to change my mind about him. Perception is reality. If he's too dumb to not have recognized that while he was flapping his jaws about non-whites, he'll never make it as a politician. Of course, I'm sure he'll find a home at Fox sooner or later....

The liberal talk host will go conservative and vice

I'm sorry, but how does enforcing this country's immigration laws make him an enemy of the Latino community? If the Latino community doesn't want its brethren to cross the border legally, then maybe the Latino community is an enemy of America.

I'm a Canadian and I plan on entering this country to make it my home, the right way, not whichever way is easier. Lou Dobbs has done nothing wrong and I think while its excellent he is a big enough man to soften his stance and find compromise, he doesn't need to abandon that idea altogether. Illegal immigration is wrong, and the only people who oppose it are those who have no respect for this nations laws.

Amnesty would be great if the goal is to bankrupt this country. Lets see thats 2.8 million illegal immigrants that will be made citizens without paying a dime in taxes after leeching off the system. That will then be followed by another wave of 2.8 million illegal immigrants hoping for their shot at getting amnesty as well. California will most likely be the first state to go under as we are already getting sucked dry by the hand outs to non citizens.

I used to really like Lou Dobbs, but there's something about him the last couple of years that just left me feeling uneasy. I just have this feeling that he would sell his soul to the devil to achieve whatever it is he wants. I'm usually a pretty good judge of character & my intuition is usually pretty good (at least my husband says that is the case), and I just have an uneasy feeling the Dobbs isn't being straight with us and isn't as trustworthy as he would like us all to think.
And it's pretty obvious he's gearing up to run for some office somewhere.

So, let's recap ... so far there's Lou Dobbs (major shift in immigration stance to please potential voters looking for a centrist), Glenn Beck (catch that "team of advisors" remark he made in Florida last weekend, eh?), Sarah Palin (just because), and all the usual suspects.

Lou was one of my favs in the 90s and early 2000s...as a Republican, I don't want this guy to join the GOP which already has enough share of nutballs like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. Gives people another reason why folks would not want to vote Republican at the next round of elections.

"Propoganda on the left" didn't make Dobbs say that Latinos were bringing leprosy into the country. All Telemundo has to do is play clips of Dobb's CNN show over the last year or so to demonstrate that he is an enemy to the Latino people. All of the concilatory words he is saying now are just a ploy to try to get votes if he runs for office. If he ever (God forbid) gets into office watch him go back to his old rhetoric which is what he really believes.

If Lou Dobbs runs on the Republican ticket, he will further isolate Republicans from the minority communities of America and ensure the re-election of President Barack Obama.

If Dobbs runs as an Independent, he will pull votes away from those inclined to vote Republican and ensure the re-election of President Barack Obama.

In either scenario, Dobbs guarantees Obama's re-election. But I would love to see a Dobbs-Palin Republican ticket, LOL. I never thought I would feel sorry for the Republican Party. No mercy for the weak! Just kidding.

Good riddance. IT was a smart decision for CNN exectutives to force him to leave before his contract expired.

How dare he say that he is friends with all latinos when all he had on his show was a bully pulpit where he had free reign to speak all the non-sense he did about ilegal immigrants.

He will never win a seat in the senate. Especially when he will be running against a latino.

He is public enemy No 1 in the eyes of all latinos illegal or not.

He will never be in The White House as President either because he has despised and enfuriated the one group who could actually influence the election.

Without the hispanic vote he wil lnever be President. Not with all the anti hispanic views that he has.
