(CNN) – Sarah Palin is taking a break from her marathon book tour to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family in Richland, Washington, her spokeswoman confirmed to CNN Wednesday.
Palin's parents are originally from the area, and an aunt of the former vice presidential candidate currently lives there.
But Palin won't be off the book trail for long: She's slated to sign books at a Hastings bookstore in Richland Sunday.
The menu at "Aunt Katie's house" isn't public, says Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton, "but there's no doubt there will be meat - right next to the mashed potatoes."

Her book is hilariously filled with misinformation. The really odd thing is she goes on and on about her special needs baby... yet never mentions her son anymore. Something tells me she was ashamed of him and shipped him off overseas for a reason....

Rather than complain about CNN giving Palin all this space, I've decided to read the articles and esp. the comments as entertainment, as comic relief. Ya can't make this up, folks! She thinks she's real! We can watch the wreck as it happens. Can't imagine what happens next. One of these days she'll come out with something so even-more mindless or disturbing or damaging that she'll self-destruct. I guess CNN sees her as a (forgive the metaphor) cash-cow, since she does get attention.
