(CNN) – Liberals said today that they appreciate President Obama's plan not to have an open-ended commitment. But anti-war lawmakers told me it doesn't make sense to send all these new troops to Afghanistan and bring them right home. They're very skeptical of it.

You guys don't get it. He doesn't suppose to tell you everything because the MEDIA will be our troops in HARM way by reporting everything. As a liberal Democrat, i think these guys are dead wrong on this one. The security of our country is at stake here, we have to get the job done as best we can, then get out.
Trying to please everyone but pleasing no one; kind of like voting present. We"ll see how effective it is to send in troops and then pull them too soon. Of course, we can hope he's just kidding in order to quiet his liberal friends.
You have to agree with the liberals about one thing. After months of dithering and dithering the decision to send troops in and yo yo them right back makes no sense. Obama's made it pretty clear to the Terrorists and Taliban that he doesn't have any sticking power, and our troops will pay the price.
How about this America he could of just went ahead and sent 40,000 troops and not even gave it a thought, so at least he cared enough to rethink this strategy and then reach a decision.
