From

(CNN) – Big question on "deadline." What happens if the border on the Pakistani side is not under control in 18 months? Does the U.S. still begin to leave Afghanistan?

What happens if?   December 1st, 2009 10:33 pm ET

where do you begin with the What happens if questions...

silly to let it keep you from moving forward, the What happens if questions have no end, at some point you have to ante up and work towards your goal

stop the What happens if nonsense, and work towards something, otherwise if you want to entertain What happens if questions join the party of 'no', the GOPers are champions at stalling

What if our president had a set? Maybe he could prove us naysayers wrong.. Good luck with that.
BLA BLA BLA OBAMA has never told the truth, Ill wait for his actions.

We darn well be leaving Afganistan. And all the troops should be out of Iraq. We have to begin the rebuilding of our entire military so we can protect America.

What a joke that statement is. And moreover, what a kick in the teeth of the American citizens. Obama has more concern and interest in securing the Pakistani border than he or the rest of the idiots in DC have on securing our own borders. It's mind boggling!

I think it is VERY important to at least have a goal. Even if the goal needs to be extended for a time, at least we are shooting for something. I think if we are VERY organized about this we can do a lot in 18 months! We've accomplished more than this in less time. Even so, no matter what it is important to have a GOAL! If we have no goal at all, then nothing gets accomplished and the accomplishment is unclear. I think all of the service men and women will appreciate this as well. They can become a bigger part of the solution if they know what they are there to do and about how long they have to achieve it.

The what if's – this is a terrible day for America. Obama is a spineless puppet.

We can't afford for it not to work. The country can't take 5-10 more years of war. Look at the suicide and divorce rates in the military.
