Washington (CNN) – Wait a minute: Don't ask me, ask Tiger!
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, invoked the embattled golfer's name Thursday afternoon in an effort to sidestep questions when a group of reporters approached ready to pepper him about the latest developments regarding Afghanistan and health care reform.
"Get the answers from Tiger Woods," Reid, with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek, said even before reporters could ask him a question.
When an aide warned Reid that his quip would "end up on the CNN Web site," the smiling majority leader repeated his previous directive.
"Ask Tiger, not me," Reid said as he walked away from the closed-door briefing he had just received on Afghanistan.

what a donkey !
I am sadden when I hear the stupid remarks our elected officials make, not only in Washington, but in other State and local governments. If the voters don't start holding them accountable, our country will continue on its downhill slide.
The taxpayers just foot the bill for all of this. Why should Reid be under any obligation to answer any questions that would filter back to the constituents that he supposedly represents?
The old fool. Can't wait for him to be voted out of office.
more evidence that this loser can not walk and chew gum at the same time..... aren't the democrats supposed to be the all knowing and doing party that have all the answers to all that ails the poor and lazy..... can't answer questions???? can't let the public see what a ces pool of a health care bill looks like??? i guess things aren't going his way with it or with his re-election bid in Nevada... don't worry Harry the old folks home is waiting for you..... LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This has to be on the top 10 of stupid comments list. I don't even know what he means!
At least we understood Cheney's "go -yourself",
but this comment gives Rumsfeld's "you go with the army you
have, not the army you want" some pretty stiff competition on the
stupid list. Congress--- you just gotta wonder.......................!!!!
That's kind of funny. A delightful switch from Dick Cheney saying "Go F yourself."
That's really funny, Senator Reid. I had to laugh at that one!
Reid equal biggest jerk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What an idiot
Is Harry jealous? lol lol
Poor Tiger, let the man off the hook on this...who really knows the truth besides he and his wife...and frankly, it's their buisness. He is not a politician on the taxpayer dime. So sorry for your troubles Tiger...God does have a way of humbling us in life..but you will be a much better person through this valley...Hang in There!
you're in just as much trouble as Tiger. Start packing.
What the heck does Tiger have to do with serious questions being asked of Sen. Reid on Afghanstan and Health Reform? Does Harry think he is cute saying this. Personally I find it insulting and he owes an apology not only to Tiger Woods but to the American public for evading answers. What a jerk. I only pray that he will not be voted in again.
Reid represents the Democrats well, they feel they owe us nothing and do and say what they want. By the way Harry, Tiger would at least have the intelligence and respect to answer if he was in charge and he would wipe your slate clean if he was to run against you!!
Say No in 2010 to Harry Reid!!!
He has just met with leaders to determine the fate of our AMERICAN troops and thinks its cute to mention Tiger Woods....This is digusting. I'd like to see him put on a flak vest and take fire and under fire do a "tongue in cheek" Tiger Woods "JOKE". No joke, no fun, no sense.
SHAME
Weak answer, from a weak leader.
this guy is a turd with legs.......please nevada...vote this wimpy socialist clown out before he can do more damage.
Well, he's got a point: our national media sources choose to cover celebrity popularity garbage over the real news every day. no wonder we are all so dumb here.
What a piece of work he is. Public servant indeed.
Why exactly is that funny, Mr. Reid? It seems you have a very poor sense of humor.
another weird comment from our Senate majority leader
Who cares? Why is this considered newsworthy?
That's coming from yet another idiot from Washington and yes
there is a blooming bunch of idiots from the Congress to the
Senate. Those morons couldn't organize a rock fight.
Why would anyone ask Tiger anything????
Don't worry Harry, pretty soon you won't have to worry about anyone asking you anything because hopefully you will be retired after the next election.
what a piece of crap he and the rest are up on the hill
Typical politician response. Never give a straight answer, always avoid the question. FIRE them all
