Eight laptop computers were stolen from lawyers representing former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Washington (CNN) - Eight laptop computers were stolen Friday morning from the offices of attorneys representing former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, the Chicago Police Department confirmed to CNN.

It is unclear if any of the laptops contained information regarding Blagojevich's federal corruption trial.

The U.S. attorney's office in Chicago had no comment on the case. The FBI is not involved in the investigation, according to FBI spokesman Ross Rice.

Chicago Police spokesman Veejay Zala said he was unable to comment in detail about the case, because it is still being investigated.

Of COURSE Blagovitche's information goes missing, If I were in his position, I would get someone to "steal" my information too.

Wrong or right this may be one key to getting at some truth! Remember how Jim McDermott was so badly targeted legally for years over the tape recording that proved what a snake Newt Ginrich is/was! Sometimes if this system will not seek justice and honor, one mayneed to resort to the same sorts of trickery that these use against the citizenry. Peace

No doubt Holder, Emanuel and OBama were behind this; Blago has so much dirt on them....bucket loads...!!! Why was he silenced all of the sudden? CASH! that's how...and now, to ensure the dirt's never leaked, the laptops are stolen. Funny thing though, those Chicago gangsters...I'm sure Blago has copies in some very safe locations to ensure his own safety...

Oh this should be good. Hopefully the public will get the information. Bet there is some information on those "progressive" Democrats that they sure don't want us knowing.

Anybody who has resided in the Windy City, as I did for four joyous years in college, recognizes such thefts as Chicago-style politics–no surprise in the Loop.
If you can't get to Chicago to view their operations, it's been transplanted to Washington, DC, for a while. Just think of it as the Pieta on loan to a museum.
