Virginia welcomes Sarah Palin

Fairfax, Virginia (CNN)– "It feels like home!" That's what Sarah Palin remarked about the snow falling in Fairfax, Virginia - the latest stop on her book signing tour. Several hundred people waited patiently in line Saturday for a chance to meet the former Republican vice presidential candidate.

"It was absolutely worth it," said Billie Jo Melting of Hampton Roads, Virginia. "With Sarah Palin, it's all about family. She talks to the normal person," she said.

Palin's book "Going Rogue" is a best seller and supporters of the former Alaska governor said they did not want to miss the chance to meet her. "She's like Reagan in heels." That's how Chris Bradford of Manassas, Virginia views Palin. "We need somebody like her to get conservatism going again," he said.

Palin was accompanied by her husband Todd and her infant son Trig as she walked into BJ's Wholesale Club in Fairfax. Once inside, Palin signed copies of her book and posed for pictures with fans.

"She's got everything, said Ron Wolfe of Sterling, Virginia."She's just fantastic."

Gov. Sarah Palin would have been a great president. It’s to bad uniformed Americans bought into the myth that sarah palin was unqualified, and did not bother to research her record PALIN 2012

@ LIBERALS FAIL curiously, NONE of the virtues you list are apparent in sarah palin.

As someone that lives in Fairfax VA I will tell you that to the VAST majority of the population this was a big yawn. Yes she drew crowds but what they don't tell you is how many came from outside northern Va and what a incredibly small % of the population here think she is even worth a 2 second thought.

To most of us here Palin's tour was "Circus Comes to Town."

Or...as someone told me, "The meeting of the idiots and their leader."

"All about family?" Is that why she went back to work within one week of giving birth to Trig, and hopped on the VP nomination faster than you can say "Quitter?"

Palin's family is just another prop in her egocentric ride ... And just how "middle America" is someone who quits, lies, mooches her way to the top?

She's a joke – and the only people she fools are those who are as shallow and calculating as she is!

    Palin = Quitter, Liar, Mooch

    Lastly... to "Sarah's Awesome"..

So you love Todd Palin too? How wonderful that you'd love a man that was a vocal member of a group that supports Alaska seceding from the nation. (Alaska First)

Yes... the patriotism of the Palin's.

How's your bank account now Sarah Take-the-Money-and Run-Palin?

Where's the courage in quitting her job as governor halfway through her term?

Where's the integrity in charging the State of Alaska for her family's travel expenses?

Where's the honesty in claiming that you said No to the Bridge to Nowhere, when you originally said Yes?

Where's the inner strength when you blame everyone else for your own failings?

Where's the knowledge about energy when you think spending 10 year's time, money and effort for 6 months of oil is a smart decision?

Where's the poise when you obviously enjoy making mean-spirited, completely false, misleading and divisive comments, all for the sake of a little publicity?

I'll admit Palin does have charm; she appeals to loser victims everywhere who run from a challenge, rationalize and blame everyone for their mistakes instead of taking personal responsibility, and use their supposed "faith" as an excuse for all their bad behavior.

Maggody, looks like you were trying to pick a fight. Now you complain because they didn't like you. Go figure.

    Maggody,

I am truly sorry that happened to you. I agree that it was rude and obnoxious for those people to shout at you and say those ugly things. However, conservatives have been enduring this for a long time. Because we don't support this president's agenda, we have been called racists, natzis, unpatriotic, haters of poor people, etc. That is wrong also. Why haven't you spoke out against that? Wrong is wrong and should be condemned no matter who is committing the offense.

"Sarah is awesome because she worked her way to the top with the little money she had , and not through some rich big wig family."

    You mean like GW Bush?

BTW, she made it to the top in Alaska because she's an attractive woman (on the outside) in a state where lonely men outnumber women by about 8 to 1.

strength answer questions from katie couric she doesn't understand
her honesty – "i can see russia from my house LMAO
integrity – im just a hockey mom from wasilla that kills moose from a plane ,
her poise- "i don't know what that is"
her charm – dontcha see my pretty face and DD's
, her knowledge about energy- i.e. she takes money from oil companies
her leadership ability – she has lead.....well she was governor..for a bit

  16. once upon a horse

yes Sarah Palin is awesome a middle America family we can all respect and look up to, yet I guess if you
work your way out of a middle class family and a single parent family to go to an Ivy League school

write several books on your own, not have anyone write them for you

have two children in a double parent family and stress education for both of them

preach education and equal opportunity for all Americans

succede in spite of the obstacles of sterotypes put in front of you
    that makes you un-American?

well from what I can see and hear from some on the right about our president I guess it does!
