really, is there something in it for those of us not of this pursuasion?
oh, I see. It is unfair. The law should be fair to all citizens.
Anyone who makes the fair argument obviously is not paying attention. I can think of very little fair in the law. The law is subjective, it matters how much money you make, it is dependant on who you know.
How about trying an argument that has something in it for everyone. Fair is the weakest argument.

Civil Unions, yes. Marriage, NO. The people of NJ are being taken to the cleaners by a Lame-duck democrat governor and his cronies.

They alsways seem to advance when the liberals in office push them through. When the people of the country vote on it though, they overwhelmingly dissapprove of gay marriage. Why? because most people have a moral compass and no right from wrong when they see it.

Same sex marriage, who cares. People say it will destroy or denagrate their marriage, thats just plain stupid or you have a weak marriage in the first place. Gays deserve the same rights as hetros, to have a say when a loved one is sick or has died, to claim that person on insurance and tax forms, to live as a couple with all of the amminities afforded a straight couple. After all God made them what they are just as he made you what you are, for better or worse.

Do you think "they" will all move to NJ now? I hope they have deep pockets to support the huge tax bills.
