Washington (CNN) – Outspoken Rep. Alan Grayson has a message for blunt-speaking former Vice President Dick Cheney: stop talking.
Responding to the former VP’s criticism of President Obama’s national security policy, including his decision to try accused 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in civilian court, the Florida Democrat lapsed into Web-speak.
“You know, on the internet there's an acronym that's used to apply to situations like this. It's called ‘STFU,’” Grayson said on MSNBC’s Hardball. “I don't think I can say that on the air, but I think you know what that means.” The letters are an acronym for “shut the f*** up.”
Cheney has been a vocal critic of the president’s policies, telling Fox News earlier this week that the extended decision-making process on Afghanistan “feeds into sort of the basic al Qaeda strategy” by fueling a sense of uncertainty on the future direction of U.S. involvement.

I love this guy!
Ditto ---– Even the less extreme Repubs. want him to just go away !!!!!
Cheney needs to shut up.
Doesn't he realize that the Obama admininistration is not yet finished humiliating our country to the rest of the world yet?
Until he has, there is no reasoning with The Messiah, so save your breath and instead prepare your vote for '10 and '12.
You go, Alan Grayson! We need a voice to rebut the nonsense from the disgruntled who are no longer in power. It's all about power.
Absolutely correct. After messing up for 8 years Cheney is woried about doing things the right way. He should STFU.
Right on! Now introduce a resolution in Congress for an independent prosecutor to investigate Cheney and Rumsfeld for war crimes against humanity.
Typical liberal hate-mongering. The liberals always claim they're the champions of free speech and diversity, but when anyone has a view different from their political dogma, today's Leftists always go out of their way to malign their opponents and shout them down.
Hypocrisy, thy name is liberal!
Grayson you're my hero!
Well, that was certainly a mature and professional comment to make. So glad Mr. Grayson is representing his constituents in such a positive way.
haha,, classic, good job, he should have shutup along time ago. Republicans are going to twist this and accuse dems of being immature and rude
Alan Grayson should focus on working on his constituents, work on kitchen tabels issues: Jobs, improvement in family values with local communities to achieve better living standards. He is looking for cheap publicity and will not take him anywhere. Americans know how to weed such people out... Great example is GM, Chrysler.. the automotive icons lost trust from American people and today are begging once again for help and support.
My thoughts exactly.
On a positive note, I'm proud that our previous president has the good grace (class??) to (mostly) keep out of the harsh bickering his fellow Repubs are engaging in.
Thanks, W.
Maybe Grayson should STFU !!!!!!
Go Alan! About time someone had the nerve to call a spade a spade.
Awwww another over-sensitive liberal. I forgot, nobody is allowed to criticize their idiocy when they're in office....it's only supposed to work the other way.
I've been saying that for months!
Rep. Grayson, so why aren't you following your own advise?
oops, he's a Republican! ...maybe that's the point he's trying to get across with the tie!
What a statesman you are, Grayson. Not only do you lower the standard of yourself, you lower the standard of how to treat others.
Another liberal classless fool.
Hang on to your hat, Grayson, starting in 2010, and completing in 2012, you will see a conservative revolt against you liberals unlike anything ever seen... other than the American Revolution, that is.
Hear! Hear! Mr. Cheney is essentially calling the President a traitor. He had his time in office and had many questionable decisions but no one accused him of being a traitor. If we were to create a list of who has done more to hurt us, I think Mr. Cheney would have far more black marks on his side of the ledger sheet.
Couldn't agree more, but we all know Cheney loves the spot light too much to ever comply.
When losing an argument, one typically turns to foul language and name calling. Typical democrat.
Good for Grayson. Someone needs to tell cheney to STFU!!!
Too bad this story was reported at the huffington post 24 hours before CNN
