Grayson to Cheney: Time to 'STFU'

Grayson to Cheney: Time to ‘STFU’
Grayson to Cheney: Time to ‘STFU’

Washington (CNN) – Outspoken Rep. Alan Grayson has a message for blunt-speaking former Vice President Dick Cheney: stop talking.

Responding to the former VP’s criticism of President Obama’s national security policy, including his decision to try accused 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in civilian court, the Florida Democrat lapsed into Web-speak.

“You know, on the internet there's an acronym that's used to apply to situations like this. It's called ‘STFU,’” Grayson said on MSNBC’s Hardball. “I don't think I can say that on the air, but I think you know what that means.” The letters are an acronym for “shut the f*** up.”

Cheney has been a vocal critic of the president’s policies, telling Fox News earlier this week that the extended decision-making process on Afghanistan “feeds into sort of the basic al Qaeda strategy” by fueling a sense of uncertainty on the future direction of U.S. involvement.

That Alan Grayson is a real classy guy now isn't he? I tell my kids that only unintelligent people need to swear. I guess Grayson proved my point.

Unfortunately, it's about time one of the Dems told these loose lipped Republicans to "STFU'. They are undermining our country with their poorly choosen words and helping our enemies in turn. Very un-American.

Well lets get the story right to begin with. DICK Cheney is calling the President of the United States a traitor saying he has violated the constitution by aiding the enemy. He goes well beyond a policy disagreement. CNN needs to add more facts in their reporting. And DICK Cheney needs to be brought to trial on war criminal charges so he's not one to talk about anyone else. Even if it were true. So yes..Cheney..STFU. Liz you too.

Why doesn't CNN and other look into how much money the Cheney family has made illegally off these wars? Because that would be REAL news reporting not the junk America gets now.

I like Grayson. Cheney is the worst. He has no leg to stand on regarding anything. They left this country in shambles and now he is suppose to be some expert on what is best for this country? He plunged us in to a war with Iraq that costs thousands of lives and was not necessary at all. Then our economy almost collapsed with people making runs on the banks and the government needing to bail out everyone. Gas prices hit the roof with only his constituent oil companies making a killing on us all. But I do disagree with Grayson. Let him keep talking. It just builds a bigger case as to why we can not go back to a Republican ran country and he is a constant reminder of the administration we just left behind.

Now that would be believable had he stated the same to all those democratic retired presidents aka Carter, Clinton who had broken a long standing tradition not to criticize sitting presidents.......where was he telling them to STFU...and here it's only a VP.......once again – teh Dem party – do as I say – not as I do.....

About time this was said!!! I'm glad someone isn't soooo political that they finally came out and said it.

8 years of this guy and look where they left the country. I don't want to hear any more BS....NO ONE CAN DENY that this country was left in shambles by the Cheney/Bush administration. DON"T EVEN TRY TO TWIST THE FACTS.

Haliburton and Big Oil did well though.

I guess some people can't stand hearing the truth. Maybe Grayson is easily swayed by BHO's smooth talking.
