Washington (CNN) - Computer technicians have recovered about 22 million Bush administration e-mails that the Bush White House had said were missing, two watchdog groups that sued over the documents announced Monday.

The e-mails date from 2003 to 2005, and had been "mislabeled and effectively lost," according to the National Security Archive, a research group based at George Washington University. But Melanie Sloan, executive director of the liberal-leaning Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), said it could be years before most of the e-mails are made public.

"The e-mails themselves are not what we're getting," Sloan said.

Wonder which Chicago enterprise has been subsidizing CREW for their legal pursuits? This really is a witch hunt, and I hope future presidents will be equally responsive to lawsuits for Obama's emails, etc... bet he wipes out all the blackberries before leaving office. Oops. My bad... dang thing fell out of my pocket into the toilet.

Actually, it was the Cheney/Bush administration. As for Bush emails, did he really know how to type? Cheney vastly under estimated how STUPID he thought the American people were. Anyone who can read can figure out 9/11 and then grieve over those souls lost, all in the name of oil and power.

BUSH/CHENEY MAKE MY HAIR HURT!! Hmmmm, wouldn't it be interesting if some of these emails prove that Cheney really is/was the manipulating and deceiving VP that we all suspected.
Hmmm, what a great Christmas present for the Dems. gotta love it!

Well, it seems the Bushie's will be celebrating Christmas in a little different manner than they expected to. It seems they now will be wondering "when the shoe will drop", and the content of these e-mails will be made public! In this age of the MEDIA FRENZY, I doubt the content will remain secret! I doubt if anyone can stop the "leak" of these e-mails! In the meantime, I must say, "The chickens have come home to roost", in the Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, Condi Rice, and Karl Rove households this Christmas!! I wonder - will there be "chestnuts" roasted on the "open fire"??? I'll bet they'd give anything to be roasting those e-mails instead!!!!

It's funny how the reaction from a right-winger to anything that a Republican does wrong is "Who Cares! Let's move on" while anything that a democrat does RIGHT (or even the SAME thing as previous republicans did) is "wrong" to these same right-wingers, regardless if it helps them or not. Brainwashed lately? Republicans HATE ALL democrats no matter what they say, while democrats will actually listen and in some cases agree with republicans. That's because Democrats are about the issue, not the party. Republicans would shoot their own face off if they thought it was something democrats would like! People forget that when these two parties formed they were called the Nationalist Republicans and the Democratic Republicans. And we ALL know what Nationalists are capable of... see Germany 1930's and Israel present day! Sacrificing all things to protect your "home" land usually ends ugly. Ask the Native Americans how they feel about our Nationalistas and ask the Palestinians what they think about Israel's Nationalistas... no love lost there!

The Bush/Cheney administration was the most crooked I have seen in my lifetime. They made Nixon look like a choir boy. At least Nixon opened up China to the west. All Bush did was start a war based on lies and proclaim "mission accomplished' leaving the trash for Obama to handle. The Bush presidency is thankfully over...but the damage he and Cheney did continues to press on the nerve of the American people like an impacted wisdom tooth. And until the questions surrounding arguably the most arrogant and perhaps most corrupt administration in our history are addressed, the pain won't go away. Time to lock these people up.

I bet Dick Cheney spit his Cheerios back in his bowl at breakfast when he read this in the morning paper.

Oh what evil one brings when we strive to deceive. Looks like the truth may some day come out about this whole administration and the crimes they committed.

Funny, I thought this administration was "looking toward the future"?

Just one more BS lie to add to the Obama administration. Funny, this happens at just the time that his approval ratings are dipping under 50 percent. Nice

Actually, I wouldn't want either parties emails suddenly showing up for whatever reason. I am definently on the right, but I don't care who is in office. From the time you go into office and the time you come out of office you look to have aged 20 years or more. Anyone that dosen't think or realize the presidency for either party involves wheels and deals and ugly behind the curtain stuff really does not have a grasp of things. Further more, by the time the details become known to the average citizen it has been spun, twisted and manipulated by BOTH parties and any comment or opinion one forms is pretty much formed by false information. As I said I definently lean right but there are 3 things I know for fact.
    1. No Liberal President is always wrong
    2. No Conservitive President is always right
    3. Voting Party lines just "because" does not and will not work.

This is great news. But I think the GOP will continue to discount everything that comes out of the White House, no matter what they prove because they are in constant denial!

Oh, gee, what luck! The "lost" emails just happened to be "found!"

It will be interesting to see if Congress or the DOJ follows up on this.

"If it's the WH's perogative to fire a federal attorney, then so what?"

Since it's not the WH's perogative to fire a federal attorney for refusing to engage in a politically motivated prosecution, what do you have to say now?

To anyone saying "Let's move on"

    NO!!!

Let's NOT move on. Let's get to the bottom of this.

It could be the single biggest crime ever committed against the people of this country.

It will be interesting to see how open the Bushies were in their criminal endeavors. Too bad none of them will ever get to even see a jail cell. Bush effectively neutered the accountability watchdogs.

It's also interesting to see the few here who shout insults and point fingers elsewhere. FYI, the fact that they disagree with Barack Obama's policies does not make the man stupid. As for the bad economy and the price to be paid by future generations, the guy they should be insulting is in *Texas*.

  24. Right wingnuts are as dumb as a woonsocket

In a recent poll, 81% of democrats nationally wanted Lieberman stripped of his chairmanship if he joins the GOP and filibusters on health reform. How on Earth could 19% not want that little rat removed?
