California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is questioning the motives of a felllow Republican, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

(CNN) - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger – who has backed strict new emissions controls to combat climate change – made a comment Tuesday that's sure to raise some heat, especially in GOP circles.

The Republican governor of California is questioning the motives of a high-profile opponent of the idea: Sarah Palin.

The former Republican vice presidential nominee and former Alaska governor has questioned whether human activity contributes to climate change, and written op-eds blasting the cap and trade policy promoted by the Obama administration to limit emissions. Last week, she called on President Obama to boycott the Copenhagen conference.

"You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish?" Schwarzenegger, in Copenhagen for the international climate change summit, told the Financial Times. "Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the (Republican presidential) nomination? You have to take all these things with a grain of salt."

Palin, dubbed a climate change "denier" by Al Gore, slammed the former vice president for promoting "doomsday scenarios": "Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it," she wrote in a Facebook post last week.

The ignorant hatred is ...no surprise! "Big Tent" and "Tolerance", eh?? Just because you keep chanting it doesn't make it anymore true! I guess 1st amendment rights don't apply to others with opposing views, huh liberals? There is a huge difference between disagreement and hatred! Not so sure if you knew that!

Republicans/GOP should be embarassed she's out in front of them. She's made them the laughing stock. Palin is like the embarassing relative you'd like to keep in the basement when company comes over. We all know she's self-absorbed and only concerned about her career and making money. Why do you think she quit being governr of Alaska? If she were completely ignored by everyone, like she is by the current administration, she'd go away. She's obviously insignificant and doesn't matter.

Let's see listen to someone who has run their state into the ground or someone who actually gave money back to people in her state. I don't think Arnold's as smart as you think. Anyone voting Democrat in the next election is either in government or paid by the government....yeah...unions too.... I think most of the folks that post on CNN are paid by the Democrats, Unions or Acorn.

why does anyone care what an intellectual lightweight like Palin thinks? If she is the future of america, america is doomed.

Someone should call her (And others) out on their denials of irrefutable facts (massive increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide, among other gases), many of which are linked to health problems as well. Does Palin also deny the fact of the massive increase in strength of poison ivy, directly caused by increased atmospheric carbon dioxide? Being against Cap & Trade is fine, if that is your opinion (personally I don't think it is the best solution), but denying irrefutable facts will only get you elected if the majority of the population is completely devoid of intelligence and common sense. Well done Arnold.

Arnold, I hate to say, is just a Democrat disguised in Republican clothing. If you really believe in all the Climate Warming, and melting Polar Ice Caps, and Doomsday hype, I've got Ocean Front Property in Arizona I'll sell you. Some of it it is true, but not to the extent "they" would have you to believe. The only way 'we the people" will know anything for sure, is if we will read and research for ourselves. Stop believing everything you see on the News and Newspapers. That's a "cop out." And for God's sake, stop blaming Bush and the GOP.

What?! ARNIE THE RINO wants to talk about motives? THE ENTIRE GLOBAL WARMING HOAX IS MOTIVATED BY MONEY!! IT HAS MADE AL GORE A MILLIONAIRE SEVERAL TIMES OVER!! The only reason ARNIE THE RINO is for cap and trade is because he wants the rest of the country to be as screwed up economically as his state so that he won't be seen as quite as lousy of a governor. Either he's not smart enough to realize or he simply doesn't care that the America-haters in Copenhagen are using him as a tool.

    >Does Sarah Palin realize the Earth is not flat?

The problem is that in the middle ages 99% scientists thought that the Sun rotates around the Earth. And only one crazy scientist, Galileo, claimed that the Earth rotates around the Sun. Science is not based on vote, only on data. And the data of global warming has been compromised by "scientists" in the UK and politicians like Al Gore. Whether Sarah Palin is right or not – it is for real scientists to decide.

Sadly, I find myself on the same side of the "global warming" debate as Failin' Palin. The science claiming man's primary role in climate change is flawed. Still, I think that I'l go home, take a couple of Tylenol and hope that she's gone when I wake up tomorrow.

Everyone sounds just like those freaks in Washington. Until we come together as a nation nothing will ever get better. It will always be the other persons fault or my person is better than your person. It's time to grow up and fix our country.

global warming is not made up-do you watch tv, read the news, see the pics of what is happening around us. You can't pump all of that crap into the ozone, you can't bulldoze valuable forests to nothingness, you can't pollute our water ways and not expect something negative to happen. Would it have happened anyway-probably. But humans have made it worse and have made it happen sooner. You are probably one of those people who like to litter, Mr. mgm

Wow Palin... You're kind of like those stars that just needs to keep their mouth shut-i.e. Kanye and Megan Fox. Please, consult with your advisors before opening your mouth.

What a RINO. Yes, Arnold, you've done SUCH a great job with California. Could it be that we have Oval-Office Envy? But then, a non-citizen has already been elected to office, so maybe you have a chance after all. Just don't count on MY vote (think you'd get Maria's???)
