Schwarzenegger slams Palin

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is questioning the motives of a felllow Republican, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

(CNN) - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger – who has backed strict new emissions controls to combat climate change – made a comment Tuesday that's sure to raise some heat, especially in GOP circles.

The Republican governor of California is questioning the motives of a high-profile opponent of the idea: Sarah Palin.

The former Republican vice presidential nominee and former Alaska governor has questioned whether human activity contributes to climate change, and written op-eds blasting the cap and trade policy promoted by the Obama administration to limit emissions. Last week, she called on President Obama to boycott the Copenhagen conference.

"You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish?" Schwarzenegger, in Copenhagen for the international climate change summit, told the Financial Times. "Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the (Republican presidential) nomination? You have to take all these things with a grain of salt."

Palin, dubbed a climate change "denier" by Al Gore, slammed the former vice president for promoting "doomsday scenarios": "Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it," she wrote in a Facebook post last week.

Palin has an opinion on everything. It's just not backed up by facts or common sense, but she has an opinion and if you have a camera, she'll tell you all about it.

Can't wait to read her Facebook rebuttal – too, too high school, using Facebook as a political forum.

Sarah was not picked by McCain for her intelligence. Those of you who are familiar with John know exactly what was on his mind.

Being called a "denier" by Al Gore is like making the Nixon enemies list: a merit badge. And I'm no fan of Ms. Palin!

Ms. Palin is about as qualified to weigh in on climate change as my cat, Pecker.

I'm mystified why this dunce of a woman has so many followers. I guess H. L. Mencken was right when he said no one ever went broke underestimating the bad taste of the American public.

Well, since Sarah seems to be such a expert on climate and climate change around the world, why doesn't she come with some real ideas...but first she better go and get at least a Master's degree in Physical Geography or one of the science before she makes statements.

Only Americans would have an OBVIOUS moron like Sarah Palin getting this much attention.

If she EVER became a presidential nominee my opinion of your country wouldn't even be worth mentioning. She needs to go away!

The arrogance of Sara Palin leaves any thinking person shaking their head in amazment. Here is a good looking, fast talking {when something is written for her} woman who is a cerified air head, telling the president not to go to Copenhagen for a conference on global warming. This is a woman who didn't know what papers or magazines she read, who could not explain even one amendment to the Constitution and seems to think that she has diplomatic ties with Russia because of Alaskas location. If her fans would just realize that her talents are available in Hollywood at a much lower cost.to our political scene. Think people. Try reading, listening and thinking.

Does Srah Palin realize the Earth is not flat, the sun doesn't revolve around us and according to the verifable, well-tested scientific standards of man, our home planet is more that 6000 years old?

A person doesn't have to be the brightest bulb in the room to know that Sarah Palin is mentally challenged, that's why idiots love her.

This poll caught my eye! Yes, indeed, we have a First Lady who genuinely knows what that means. She is Honest and Warm to those that she interacts with at the White House or traveling with the President. She is an Ambassador of Classy Lady, Bright Lady, Beautiful Lady and Caring Mother.

I'm so proud she represents our Country 24/7.

The poll was not a surprise, but Mrs. Obama continues to shine in a difficult, "always on" type of life. And I don't see her looking for attention. She earns it.

Arnold. One of the few Republicans I would actually vote for. Not afraid to give his opinion. Not afraid to try to do the right thing. Smarter than most politicians Republican or Democrat. Hits the nail on the head when he asks if Palin takes her stance for political gain only. I mean really. This is a woman who thought that Africa was a country. What could she possibly know about global warming. She is just like the Becks and Limbaughs of the world. Numbnuts who base their opinion not on facts, but on the factless opinions of other people who think like Limbaugh and Beck, and who base their opinion on their ideology only. They deny global warming, for example, not based on whether or not it exists, but because they don't want to have to pay to alleviate it. In fact, they base every position that they hold based on the monetary cost to themselves, and nothing else.
