California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is questioning the motives of a felllow Republican, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

(CNN) - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger – who has backed strict new emissions controls to combat climate change – made a comment Tuesday that's sure to raise some heat, especially in GOP circles.

The Republican governor of California is questioning the motives of a high-profile opponent of the idea: Sarah Palin.

The former Republican vice presidential nominee and former Alaska governor has questioned whether human activity contributes to climate change, and written op-eds blasting the cap and trade policy promoted by the Obama administration to limit emissions. Last week, she called on President Obama to boycott the Copenhagen conference.

"You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish?" Schwarzenegger, in Copenhagen for the international climate change summit, told the Financial Times. "Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the (Republican presidential) nomination? You have to take all these things with a grain of salt."

Palin, dubbed a climate change "denier" by Al Gore, slammed the former vice president for promoting "doomsday scenarios": "Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it," she wrote in a Facebook post last week.

obama hates Republican and Independent Americans. He does not want to listen to what All of America has to say about healthcare, he just wants to listen to his liberal / socialist followers. If obamacare passes, our America will be gone....Vote Republican in 2010 and 2012.

Why would anyone believe or listen to anything she says? Hasn't she proved time and time again that she is not intelligent and not trustworthy? People that believe anything she has to say are as dumb as she is.

I reckon...that as he seems to have destroyed California's economy, he must try to find someone on whom to lash out to divert attention away from his incompetency.

Arnold – who can't even handle his own state problems because he has his own agenda has a lot of nerve asking what palins agenda is. It's GOT to be better than what we have now (u know dems). All the dems in ca are idiots and so are most of the readers of this blog. You will see how many dems are removed because of the al gore and arnold effect, not to mention obama, pelosi, reid, franken, frank, et al – talk about personal agendas – these guys are the worst of the worst! We can only hope somebody like sarah brings us back to the real world, we need to get rid of all the dems – can't wait.

Can't say I agree with all of the positions Schwarzenegger has taken... but I do give him credit for taking some positions that have put him at odds with the ignorant faction of the GOP. What the party, and America, need is a return to INTELLIGENT conservatism.

Nobody is listening to this unscrupulous dangerous person whose thinks that the place for wild life is on her plate beside the potatoes, and conveniently deny the opinion of scientists because it is politically expedient. She has the brain of a flea yet seems to have an opinion on every topic under the sun.

    NICE TRY MR. SCHWARZENEGGER,

Gov. Schwarzenegger, your words on this matter is true and your intention is honorable. However, you must remember that the people following Sarah Palin are short on discernment and long on ignorance. Her followers don't accept Hawaii's proof of Obama's U.S. birth, but remarkably they believe WWF is a "real competitive" sport that equals Olympic wrestling.

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows the WFW has none. Go Arnold, and prove there is an intelligent conservative out there. Man's overpopulation of the planet is the problem, global warming is only the symptom. Anyone that has observed the planet knows it is getting warmer, and there is a reason for every thing that happens. Global warming is not like gravity and only a moron would compare the two.

Of course she's a denier- that way nothing is her fault and she has chosen the correct path. Self-serving, but who isn't?
What I don't get is why a "conservative" is so opposed to conservation.
Would it kill us to start behaving like every generation before the baby boom?
Sadly, it's not about the US, human kind, or anything noble. It's all about Sarah.

Sarah is right, Gore is running a scam designed to be a political tool for the Left, but primarily to make him richer. Poor old Arnold became a pawn of the left sometime ago, but really doesn't know what he believes.

She's an idiot, and the reason she's "going rogue" is because her own party sees her as a liability. She should just go back home and forget about politics. Her family is such a mess that she needs to concentrate on them instead of her own ambitions. She had her 15 minutes of fame and should now just fade away.

Say what you will about the Governator, but at least he never quit his job when the going got tough...and from what I can tel, being governor of California is a heck of a tough job to have.

If Arnold had half the brain that Palin has he would not have let California get into such a miserable mess that the rest of the country has to bail them out. The Cap & Trade bill will complete the job if Obamacare doesn't win the race to do the job of bankrupting the state.

Palin, pretty face. No brains. Some people comment about the huge problems that California is facing. Alaska's problems seem minor in comparison. And yet Schwarzenegger keeps working. He keeps plugging away. Criticize if you want ; but the man has not given up. Palin simply quit. Palin is stupid AND wimpy. For "the sake of her family" she should take her millions and retire.

I'm with Sarah Palin on this one.

Just because a lot of scientists agree on a THEORY of man-made climate change doesn't make it so. Where is the scientific PROOF? Well, it just doesn't exist.

Al Gore is a self-serving dork.
