Sarah Palin is hitting back at California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's dig at the former Alaska governor over the issue of climate change.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin is hitting back at California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's dig at the former Alaska governor over the issue of climate change.

"Why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment?" Palin wrote on her Facebook page Tuesday night. "Perhaps he will recall that I live in our nation's only Arctic state and that I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change."

Palin's comments came hours after the California Republican questioned Palin's stance on climate change in an interview with the Financial Times at the Copenhagen climate change summit
"You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish?" said Schwarzenegger, who has backed strict new emissions controls to combat climate change. "Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the (Republican presidential) nomination? You have to take all these things with a grain of salt."

The former Republican vice presidential nominee has questioned whether human activity contributes to climate change, and wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post last week blasting the cap and trade policy promoted by the Obama administration to limit emissions. She has also called on President Obama to boycott the Copenhagen conference.

On her Facebook page Tuesday night, Palin said Schwarzenegger was acting "greener than thou."

"While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we can't primarily blame man's activities for those changes," she wrote. "And while I did look for practical responses to those changes, what I didn't do was hamstring Alaska's job creators with burdensome regulations so that I could act 'greener than thou' when talking to reporters."

Palin also mixed it up last week with former vice President Al Gore, who dubbed her a climate change "denier."

Also on her Facebook page, Palin criticized the former vice president for promoting "doomsday scenarios": "Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it."

Sarah Palin: AMEN!!! It's time to start putting the correct phrase back together "The THEORY of Global Warming." It has not been proven in the scientific world, only the political world. We are suffering to regulations and job losses because of it. Conservation people!

Palin: "Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it."

So is diaper rash but I'll bet you didn't just let your children suffer with it. Yes, it's naturally occurring but CO2 from burning fossil fuels has escalated it.

But even if you don't believe this, you shouldn't be ignoring the fact that all of these fossil fuels are not renewal. They are being depleted at an alarming rate. If we don't invest in renewable forms of energy, future generations will suffer and curse our selfishness and ignorance.

Why is the women still giving "beauty pagent" answers to important questions such as climate control? I really believe if she wanted to help Alaska, she would have remained in office, instead of trying to get rich quick on her 15 minutes of fame. I wonder if she would stay home and take care of the kids if Todd had a job?

The only thing Palin could do to help save our earth is to dig a hole into it, in her back yard, and plant some peas. If she waters regularly, she'll soon have a new supply to replenish her brain.

I cringe every time when there is a mention of whats her name from Alaska. It was a stroke of something that her name was brought to the national stage, but frankly, her expressed opinions clearly indicate how uninformed (I will stop short of saying uneducated) she is. While I understand that the news media is covering all angles, I just wish that her name just disappear from print altogether.
John McCain, I was one of your fans and I am disappointed that it was you who gave whats her name a stage to demonstrate her ineptitude and lack of common sense.

Ah yes, America's most hated woman. Most hated, that is, by the radical Left, who tolerate no dissent, who cannot accept criticism and who are adamant about getting their way regardless of the consequences. Palin is so disliked by the Left because she represents their worst fears; an attractive, likable potential opposition candidate who makes sense on a lot of issues and who hurls well targeted challenges at the Left's most dearly held tenets and dogmas. Worst of all, she is more experienced and qualified than the man the radical Left ramrodded into the oval office. The more visibility Palin gets and the more Obama fumbles, the more evident this becomes. Lacking facts and sound arguments, the Left has traditionally relied on ridicule, insult, misdirection and bullying as its tools of the trade. So there's nothing new here folks, please move along.

Schwarzenegger is correct on this one. I don't know where Palin gets the idea that being environmentally responsible (not polluting) is causing fiscal problems in California. I think that Palin needs to put down what ever drug she is using and take off the blinders and see what is really going on in California and her own state of Alaska. There are local people in Alaska that are feeling the effects of the tempature changing - houses built on ice are being destroyed because the ice is melting or shifting destroying the house.

She is typical of many ideological Republicans - let business do what it wants because it knows best; they'll clean up their own mess if it really needs to be cleaned up. I would figure that she would know better given the Valdez accident some years back.

Another point that needs to be considered:

If advocates for clean, renewable energy are wrong, the worst that can happen is that we end up with renewable, alternative forms of energy. As a trade-off for the cost, we have renewable energy-related jobs and energy when fossil fuels are depleted.

If you are wrong, and we do nothing to reduce the CO2 and develop cleaner energy, the worse that happen is we have no more fuel to produce energy and no more energy-related jobs, but that won't matter because the Earth will die anyhow!

So, what do we have to lose by reducing our CO2 output and investing in clean energy? This is actually not about blaming anyone. It's common sense, Sarah -Sarah? common sense? Oh, never mind.

You think Arnold would shut up by now on any environmental issue. Its a fraud and he promoting any portion of it should be labeled as a fraud. Shut up and go quietly into the night. Man-made warming is a hoax. Why do you think Al Gore switch from warming to climate change years ago. He saw the writing on the wall. If we had an honest media he would have been exposed years ago. Lets see his emails – lets go hackers – target this clown.

After that, he needs to make a wake-up call to the mental midget, Joe Lieberman, who is afflicted with multiple political party/personality disorder, and commitment issues.

Apparently you have to live in the Arctic to experience signs of global warming. I live in Columbus, Ga and after 3 years of record drought we have just experienced the wettest year on record. Republicans are so worried about the debt their grandchildren will inherit because of the huge deficits we are running that they don't seem to care about the fact that we are ruining the environment they will inherit making the mere survival much more harsh. Once again, with republicans, it comes down to their wallets. Nothing else matters.

Palin says that climate change is a natural phenomenon. It very well may be! But that is no excuse to do nothing about it. Floods are a natural phenomenon, but do we not sand bag houses and put up levies? Drought is a natural phenomenon, but do we not cut irrigation channels and create reservoirs? Man is an awesome force that has been altering natural phenomenon for as long as we have existed. If we know that climate change is the destructive force that it is, why do we care that it is natural or man-made if we can do something about it?

I guarantee that if an asteroid were headed towards Sarah Palin, she'd be the first to try to nuke it to prevent it from causing harm. She would not say "eh, it's natural."

It comes to no surprise that Palin would hide behind the computer screen to attack Schwarzenegger. Even her grammar needs fixing:
"While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand

It should be: "While all of Alaskans and I witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand,....

She has also mixed up several facts on the cause of the deficit and unemployment that has nothing to do with climate change policies.

On this one, she's actually correct. Emissions contribute to warming, but, they also contribute to cooling. After 9/11 when the airspace over the US was devoid of contrails for three days, the temperature range actually increased. Less pollution (emissions) higher temps. This is known as global dimming. I'm all for a cleaner environment and cleaner air and have taken steps to decrease my carbon footprint by using passive solar heating in my home. But, the arrogance of politicians to think that signing a piece of paper will alter the laws of nature is absurd. In addition, to hamstring our economy by placing an enormous increase in production costs at this time is not the most prudent step forward while trying to get Americans back to work. It would be easier to stomach the current Copenhagen meetings if the participants could have figured out a cleaner way to get there and conduct their meeting. Rather than flying hundreds of jets and renting thousands of limos, perhaps a large video conference using carbon-neutral technologies such as cyber space would have been more appropriate.

Al Gore, in his usual fashion, also made hysterical claims that the scientist whose research he was quoting wouldn't even stand by. That should be red flag #1.

I never ever ever ever thought I'd say this but I actually agree with Palin on this one. There just isn't enough evidence to mandate the types of restrictions being discussed in Copenhagen. If we've learned anything these past few months, it's that the climate scientists had their own agenda and manipulated data to sell that agenda.

With that said, we should do anything REASONABLE to keep our environment as prestine as we can. Tighter emission standards should be applied everywhere, but let's not over do it.

While I don't know without a reasonable doubt that climate change is or is not affected by man, I would not put myself out there to deny either side. Given Palin's lack of education and logic, she doesn't have a good leg to stand on with this topic. I do agree with the "Al Gore's" and say we should cut back on emissions, as it does lead to air pollution (this fact is proven in major cities around the world). So unless Palin can provide scientific evidence, and not just theory, she really should keep her mouth shut on the subject.

It's funny because Sarah Palin is learning about cap and trade as she tries to promote herself. She proved during the presidential election that she is definitely not an intellect. However, she is trying to learn buzz words and catch phrases as quickly as possible because she is trying to promote herself. She quit the governorship of Alaska so she could sell books and make lots of money. It was never about Alaska but about Sarah Palin. She wanted to capitalize on her fame. This person is a loose cannon because of McCain. McCain was the person who believed woman were idiots and would vote for Palin since Hillary lost to Obama. Wow, Sarah Palin would refer climate change as "a burden". I forgot Sarah Palin is a scientist also, and she knows that man has not helped climate change along. Sure it might be "natural phenomenon" but how fast it's happening, and how much damage we do with our population to our limited resources, I think it's worth "the burden" on humans to change a little. That's just common sense, everyone would be a fool to not think a little bit about it. The changes are obvious, not just in her artic state! Just the weather alone in all states (which the scientist said would happen) has happened. And leave it to a republican to not want to change for the better. Cutting emissions sure it's a change and it's not easy but it's a healthy change and it couldn't hurt for the future. How can she defend something that she doesn't know about for sure? It's definitely a possibility that's why it's laid out on the table, and the people that don't want the burden of changing are trying to claim it's a natural phenomenon instead of looking at all the information. They'd rather ignore what's going on and take a risk that could kill us all.

But these highly educated individuals forecasting doom should remember that the earth has experienced great shifts in it's climate before. Anyone hear about the ICE AGE. The president should boycott a conference talking about ways to deal with climate change because why, Sarah? You don't know what options are on the table and you deny all ideas to deal with warming.

There is nothing unusual about leaders not agreeing with everything, none do...as with any close team, concessions are made for the good of what/who they represent. In parenting you also have a very close team effort of the parties involved to make the best informed decision for the child they look after...it is not absurd that they obtain input from the child (third party)...and it is not absurd that the decision they make isn't always the right one. At some point we must continue to let our leaders know our feelings and have trust them to make the best decision. Sure it is disappointing when it doesn't pan out as we would like, but we know it was done in good faith...so let's learn and move on. Governors, Senators and other leaders, thank you for trying.

I know you won't publish this, but I do question your use of a glamour shot of Palin and a standard tough looking picture of Schwarzenegger.
You don't think that influences people? Of course it does. Palin certainly doesn't need to make snide remarks about acting holier than thou, or pointing out how others are scaring people. What about her remarks making it seem like all elderly people are headed to Death Squads, and her mean insinuations about Obama. If we wanted CNN to turn into FOX, we would ask you to do that. How about focusing more on the 22,000,000 and counting emails that went missing???

Well Sarah, while California has suffered economic strife and who is at fault is open for debate, at least The Governator has stayed the course and is trying to lead his state out of it's malaise and has to make some hard, unpopular decisions in the process. So for The Governator, the term "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." seems to apply. As a colonel in the military, I served in Alaska for two years while Sarah Palin was governor. I even met her a couple of times. She is pleasant enough, but......she got one significant piece of legislation passed, and it was significant, setting the rules for a gas pipeline. However, in spite of, or perhaps because of, the ignorance of folks in the Lower 48 regarding Alaska, she has successfully managed to portray herself as Alaska's best governor ever. Not really the case. She polarized (forgive the pun) the State just as she has the nation. Even then, she had a bad habit of blaming other people for her problems and pouting when things did not go her way. The problem is not that she is not smart. She is smart, though not well-read, and if you read anything she writes, you will note she speaks only in platitudes. The problem is she believes there are two sides to an argument: her side and the wrong side. And when things don't go her way, she quits....just like she quit (what else can you call it?) her job as governor. Say what you will about Arnold. Say he ran for governor as something of a joke for late-night television. But in spite of his low job ratings, the awful fiscal mess California has become, and other challenges.....he is staying at his post.

Palin is a joke, she did not even finish her term as Gov. of Alaska, it is easy for her to speak to crowds (for large $$$) and state her views but it appears it is hard for her to accept a position like the Gov of Alaska and try to enact her views. Because she's from Alaska – you would think she would have a much better understanding of the whole issue/reality of global warming and it's unequivocal relation to things man is doing. Her statements on global warming show little regard for reality and as Schwarzenegger points out part of a separate 2012 political agenda... The problem here – is that she's simple minded and opinionated in ways that greatly hurt the national interest – whether it be death panels – or the melting ice caps – or her thoughts on energy.

And let's not forget this is the Sarah who couldn't finish the as Governor – and the Sarah who's running around the country right now peddling a book someone else wrote for her.

I think climate change is a huge issue. I think Arnold hit it right on the head with his comments.

I think everyone needs to get on board with this and work together. And those that deny it should be completely disregarded and prevented from holding any political office.

Schwarzenegger slamming palin. An interesting film....

She obviously never heard that old saying about not opening your mouth and proving yourself a fool. We all know her theory, since she is a deep thinking intellectual force and a climate scientist, is that global warming is just a natural part of the end of days. For those of us who live in the reality based community, like Arnold, it has a little different meaning.

That, my friends, is shallow but I've seen it time and again from the liberal bases. Cry,cry, cry about her but she is resonating with a conservative base that is going to rise up at the polls in November of 2010. You libs will remember this statement for a LONG time!

I am a scientist and I think the following is a load of BS:

"Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it."- Sarah Palin

Seriously America, she needs to not be elected. We cannot stand another idiot. We are trying to fix what has happened with the last one. This idiot is also a racist and major hypocrite.

She needs to get her facts strait about what we are doing to our environment. She is more concerned about drilling more oil in Alaska and getting a Republican Presidential Nomination.

On top of that, I think republicans are wasting some serious space in government these days. Talk about being conservative, they need to step down so as to minimize government. I think it would be a good series of lay-offs for the American Taxpayers.

No Republicans in Government = Major Tax breaks + Faster Smarter Decisions + Budget Surplus

I do understand the tremendous industrial base that Alaska has, and adding any additional burdensome regulations to Alaskas clean air requirements may hamstring the many thousands of jobs that may not be added because of these regulations.

Okay, the only time she opens her mouth is to switch feet! She is the quitter, the hater, she prostitutes her children to the press and then complains about infringement on her privacy. She barely finished college and yet now apparently she's an expert on energy policy because the McCain campaign had to come up with some kind of excuse for selecting her (Hint: Dick Chaney told them they had to!). Remember she quit that energy regulation job in Alaska too. Probably too stressful. Mrs. Palin needs to go back to Wasilla and manage that REALLY expensive community center she had built!

Palin Facebook and Twitter pages should not be news.
Let's get a focus on real news and the responsible people that make it.
Your reporters need to get a life and stop publishing the senseless ramblings of a political has-been that came and went in a flash that was all she deserved.
Let's get our eye on the ball. There are serious issues and people out there that don't hide behind social networking sites to say things.
Are you going to report on every Facebook or Twitter comment out there? I am sure if you go to some of the hate-mongering sites there is some pretty juicy stuff to cover. Why ignore those? Why is Palin's pallid opinion so important to you?
Or does CNN have a hidden agenda to keep her face in the news cycle?

Sarah baby read the newspapers you claim you read. In it there is a picture of an iceberg, near New Zealand. Thats a warm region of the world. Do we need to draw you a picture. Someone like Sarah Palin has no business attempting to inject her child like actions....... this woman is ONLY interested in being talked about, and crowds of dumb people screaming her name.....

John McCain must want to crawl under a rock everytime this dispicable person shows the country how childish and devious she is, the constant bickering with ANYONE that exposes her is the proof in the pudding.....How many serious Politicians you know that argue with Comedians and Entertainers......?

I think frost bite damaged Ms Palin's brain. Palin says ""...I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change." I'm glad to know you're on top of it Palin, just like the Tobacco companies are on top of preventing teen smoking with their anti-smoking programs. Some people just join a cause as part of damage control, if not for an attempt to all together sabotage it... I'm looking at you Palin. When the oil dries up in Alaska, and you've strip mined the mountains and hunted wolves to extinction, tourism will be your final form of revenue, and good luck getting tourists to come to Alaska for the crappy weather. Good thing Alaska has a lot of space, because Palin's a waste of it.

Come on Sarah, you quit as Governor of Alaska, Arnold runs the largest state in the nation. I don't think you get to slam him.

I wish we could all move on. The climate data is bad, the earth may or may not be warming, it may or may not be caused by human activity (like breathing). But, regardless, having clean air and water is a good thing and you'd think an outdoor oriented person like Palin would be pro-environment, which in fact is very much a conservative position.

It seems many people are missing the point entirely of the conference, Sarah. it is not about pointing fingers at human beings or any particular cause. It is about preparing ourselves for the inevitable, while at the same time being honest about our wasteful lifestyles. Developing countries have less impact than developed nations, yet they feel it the most. They are trying to find solutions to their problems. The conference is not all about blame, but about preparing ourselves for major changes, human caused or not.

A narrow world view will not get us anywhere. The economy that you keep referring will be in more peril in 50 years if we don't have frank and honest dialogue about it now. Without a healthy climate you might as well kiss your economy goodbye because the resources it depends on will be more scarce down the road and the very framework you are attempting to protect will be more vulnerable.

Looking at the bigger picture here is like looking into a crystal ball, it shows you the future......

Haley Barbour and Eric Cantor were asked recently if they believe that Sarah Palin has the experience to be President of the United States, neither one would answer the question.....

In fact, their Non-Answer is really their True Answer, anyone with a clear conscience and reasonable intelligence, can say without a doubt this woman is in no way qualified to President of anything, let alone of the United States of America......

People that have Presidential qualitys, do not argue and bicker with anyone and everyone that critcizes them, this woman even bickers with Comedians and TV personalitys, she's extremely childish in the way she deals with criticism....

Finally...."doomsday scenarios"?? Palin is the one who 'invented' the death panel misinformation in her hysterical effort to deride health care reform and deny millions of Americans access to the care they deserve!

Ms Pailin may live in a state that does experience melting of the ice buy is Alaska burdened by a large population? Has Alaska experienced industrialization to the same extent as California? Ms Palin can only think in linear and not dimensionally. Has she seen the LA basin so smoggy from sulfer dioxide emmissions that her eyes burn and its hard to breath? Do they, in Alaska, have major traffic jams 20 out of 24 hours? They have a bridge to nowhere but do they have hundreds of bridges crisscrossing all over the state to move traffic?
Alaska has not and never will experience the same impacts that California has. Ms Palin, STFU and go back to your backyard and watch Russia, you can be our first line of defense against an invasion!!!

What was Palin's sub-cabinets findings or stance on global warming? Did she quit before they were able to investigate anything. Anyone can =say they did something, but you actually have to point to the real accomplishments.

I still have very large doubts about her abilities and accomplishments. She was governor of one of the smallest states, population wise. The state budget was fully funded by oil and gas revenues from the states trust fund. She also had one of the smallest prison systems in the nation when she was casting judgement on Romney.

She has never had to answer the hard questions that governors from larger states have had to answer, tax revenue shortfalls, diverse population (75% caucasian, 18% Inuit/native american). And my personal favorite. If it takes you 5 different universities to get your degree, I'm not putting you at the top of my list. No matter what.

She questions whether climate change is being caused by man. She is using political scheming and rhetoric to attack people and defend herself, but notice that she isn't using science. That's because there is no science that proves her point. All the deniers do is find a few elements they disagree with of the overall science, but they really don't have a more plausible alternate theory that stands up to scrutiny. Why does she get any attention from the media? What justifies her celebrity at this point?

What a coward this woman truly is. She refuses to validate ANY of her comments and simply hide behind Facebook posts like a teenager. At least Schwarzenegger stands before the people and reporters when he makes his comments and takes questions to back up his statements.

This woman did nothing for Alaska except clear the way for more oil exploration and drilling. The oil companies design the economic outlines for Alaska and then tell the Governor how it's gonna go down.

If there were more Repubs like Arnold, then the party would not have lost the respect of the country. Blowtorches like Palin, Limbaugh and Beck have thrown the party of Lincoln back hundreds of years, which may be where they want to be... flat earth.... earth is center of the universe... church in charge of government.....
BTW.... Arnold is right on about Sarah; she chases the camera and is interested in nothing more than making money. I guess Levi was right about that part. Everywhere this woman goes she creates animosity. Can you imagine what kind of bipartisanship would be created with her influence? I mean, I would think that she would at least try to get along with Schwarzenegger, who is a fellow republican. Sarah Palin is not a scientist or an expert on climate change in a stretch of the imagination. The media needs to stop giving her unfounded and unscientific beliefs equal weight when compared to the research of the world's experts. Just because her opinions are popular with a small segment of the population does not make her an expert. CNN has lowered itself to sensational celebrity reporting at the level of the National Enquirer.

From Anchorage Daily News – -
Link: The Washington Post Post columnist Eugene Robinson revisits Sarah Palin's creation of a climate-change subcabinet while she was governor of Alaska: "Palin mentioned having created the climate change unit in an op-ed she wrote last week for The Post. What she didn't acknowledge was the contrast between what she says about climate change now and what she said - and did - about it as governor of our most at-risk state. When she was in office, Palin treated the issue as serious, complex and worthy of urgent attention. Now that she's the iconic leader of a populist movement that reacts with anger at the slightest whiff of pointy-headed, 'one world' intellectualism, she writes as if the idea of seeking ways to mitigate climate change is a crock."

I apologize if this is very rude.

Arnold had to deal with California's issues dead on. He had to deal with a $30 Billion USD Deficit, and he had to deal with many disasters that plauge the state, economically, and naturally. Palin, in her own state, was her own disaster in the making.

Palin needs to shut her mouth, as she is the very essence that is ruining the GOP. Arnold, however, is the one person BENEFITING the GOP, he doesn't complain at all about what the President is doing, and he is working his tail off. Palin couldn't do any of that, and Palin has no right to talk since she quit her position.

This is precisely why Schwarzenegger shouldn't have said anything about Palin. She just uses comments like his to attract more attention to herself, which is all she's really interested in doing. Same with Al Gore. Neither of these guys should make public remarks about Palin, even if they're right. The people who support Palin don't care about facts. They don't care that this response from Palin is a classic example of her two-faced, self-contradictory stances on many public issues. She doesn't think the activities of humans has caused global warming, but she brags that she set up a "sub-cabinet" to deal with it. If it's not caused by human activity, what was her plan? And, if it was that important to her, why did she quit her job 18 months early? The woman is a vacuous idiot. My guess is that she has never spoken to a single credible scientist about global warming, yet she talks as though she is an expert on the subject. The definition of stupidity is not knowing your limitations.

I agree with Palin. Certainly, we can do more to clean and protect the environment, I don't think anyone really disagrees with this concept. But to claim humans are the root cause runs contrary to science and history. When I was a child in th 1970s, so-called experts predicted a coming mini ice age. I always thought that industrial pollution and combined emissions were bad for the environment, but I guess it's ok because one of the greatest scientific minds of our time seems to think it's ok. I'd like Palin to site results/benefits of her Sub-Cabinet, does she know?, not that she created another government entity that may not have been needed.

Her stance on climate change seems based on a lack of understanding.

It's called climate change now because so many things are happening that need to be brought into the fold of concern. Man's impact is not just Global Warming, it is also the massive area of trash floating in the middle of the Pacific that is growing rapidly Or, the dead zone of water in the Gulf that forms each year that is thousands of square miles that continues to grow, and how about the fact that we can't eat too much fish because of all the Mercury that is a result of pollution man has dumped into the oceans. How about the de-forestation or over-fishing to the point some species of fish we rely on are threatened.

Even if she is right and man is not the predominate climate change catalyst how about we address what we are responsible for because it's pretty bad. And, if she is wrong and we continue to not address the issue we're all, future generations too, going to lose.

We can live in harmony with planet, we are smart enough and advanced enough, so stop making excuses just because your backyard looks fine or you are benefiting from the state of imbalance we are currently capitalizing on.

Bottom-line on Palin for me is that she has a historical and repeated lack of understanding/knowing the facts, crashes under pressure, blames others, and quits.

Palin – A good example of the "Separation of Church & State". Some people believe in the separation of church and _________. Whether the blank contains a politically motivated separation (i.e. "State") or a physical separation (i.e. "Religious convictions should not influence a persons decisions") doesn't matter. "Church" or "Religion" is nothing better than a club if we, the people, are expected to separate our "Religious Convictions" from the things we do in life; personal or political. What Mrs. Palin is really saying is this; 'Since God created this world and His prophets predicted current events (i.e. The decline of earth, middle east conflict, etc.), what's the point of fighting a losing battle at the expense of the people and jobs?' Palin is a good example of how ridiculous it is to expect us to separate religious convictions from our political decisions. If that were possible, then our religion is worthless; nothing more than a "club affiliation" – no matter what the religion! Palin is using Wisdom behind her decisions. So far, all the 'Separation of Church and State' laws have done nothing more than harm free will and progress. The former USSR vs. the USA in the 1900's is proof that good ideas don't come from one who is restrained where a nation of freedom prospers. People are so blind.

What Palin seems to be ignoring is whether climate change is manmade or natural is irrelevant. We're the first generation capable of potentially mitigating, or at the very least reducing, its effects. Gravity is not a naturally occurring phenomenon.

A natural phenomenon is a non-artificial event in the physical sense, and therefore not produced by humans, although it may affect humans (e.g. bacteria, aging, natural disasters, death.) Common examples of natural phenomena include volcanic eruptions, weather, and decay. Most natural phenomena, such as rain, are relatively harmless so far as humans are concerned.

There are various types of natural phenomena, which include (and are not limited to), Meteorlogical phenomena, weather, including hurricanes, thunderstorms and tornadoes, and geological phenomena , including volcanic activity and earthquakes.

Maybe we'll also recall that when Mrs. Palin couldn't "take the heat", she quit. Quitters shouldn't criticize doers.

Who does one believe? 80,000 scientists or Sarah Palin? Years of documented research or some e-mails Fox got hold of? Sen. Inhofe or the global community?

One does get a little tired of the lack of truth from the party of hate.

How is it that a beauty queen that went to five colleges to complete a bachelors degree in journalism, quit her job as governor of a remote state with the lowest population density in the US, knows how emissions and air particulates effects the health and economy of the largest, most densely populated state better than their own governor?

To say this chick is whacked is a disservice to those that are really whacked.

I have no use for the policies of Sarah Palin ..... except this one. I too believe that Global warming exists but do not feel it is the result of mans activities but rather a continuing natural phenomenon from the previous ice age. The Cap and Trade legislation would have a very negative impact on our financial recovery and will have very little impact on our carbon impact. Please study Germany and the results of their Cap and Trade before assuming its benefits. My opinion is that CLEAN COAL Plants are the answer to our polution problem.

Arnold is a hypocrite. Anybody who drives a humongous SUV by himself have no business asking people do sacrifice one for the environment. And there are sure many now in Copenhagen that fit this mold.

Obviously, Palin is looking to stay in public view so she can make a run at the Republican nomination (fat chance of winning an election I would think) after walking out on her last job (doesn't look good on a resume). Problem is she's making herself look foolish on a number of issues but to make yourself look uneducated, especially regarding climate change and its readily verifiable consequences which we can see NOW, just seems counter-productive to her goal.

Who in their right mind could vote for her to be the most powerful person in the world. GOOD GOD!!! But.....look who somehow got to the White House for 8 years and couldn't put 2 sentences together without screwing it up...to say nothing of the economy, the military, etc. etc. I 'd love to see some of those "now found" e-mails.

wow. palin is such an idiot. i like how she only fights from her facebook, and won't actually debate anyone with any scientific facts or actual knowledge concerning climate change. being an idiot from alaska does not automatically make you an expert on climate change. this is my favorite part: "While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand..." does she think that only people who live in alaske witness the impacts of weather patterns, while the rest of us in the contiguous states do not? i hope she keeps talking her way out of relevancy.

Mrs. Palin is a Christian who believes that we are living in the Last Days, and this makes her environmental views very anti-conservation since we need not go to the trouble to avoid polluting the Earth when The Earth and its people will not be here all that long anyway.

I am not a Christian, and i suspect that those who act like we are living in the Last Days may actuall help make something like this a reality.

    I worry.

It's easy to figure out why Palin is against Arnold's green policies: Like Bush she's from a big oil state.

I think America is hopefully fed up with BIG OIL and the snake-oil politicians that are linked to it.

I can't believe that I'm responding to another one of CNN's Palin moments, but this woman knows less about climate change than my dog. Arnold is right when he says that you have to take what she says with a grain of salt.

Yep, Arnolds state is a fiscal mess and the global warming scheme has been derailed thanks to Climate-Gate. It's amazing that Sarah says exactly what the majority of people in this country think with regards to the global warming.

We all could have gotten rich if we all voted that Sara Palin was going to hit back at Schwarzenegger on her Face Books. She is so childish. Sara Palin at less Schwarzenegger isn't a quitter like you even though he is a lame duck status like you said your were and the reason why you quit your governor job. He still have one up on your QUITTER!

Yes, Sarah Palin Strikes Back, this is just the sort of entertainment i was hoping for. And even though Sarah's response didn't really have any substance to the current arguement, it's good to know that she is reminding people that she used to be a Governor. Anyone remember what happened to that gig?

Personally, i think the fact that Governor Schwarzenegger didn't quit on his state, despite the fiscal crisis, speaks highly of his sense of duty and responsibility to the state of California. It's a shame the same can't be said about the half-term Governor Sarah Palin.

"Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the (Republican presidential) nomination? You have to take all these things with a grain of salt."

I think the CA Gov is wrong about one thing, I think she is more interested in making money than winning the Republican Nomination in 2012. Arnold can you terminate er? LOL!

Palin puts all Democrats AND Ahhnold to shame with her smart GREEN politices.

Should we put the two in a runoff? :)

But Sarah knocks the socks off of everyone with her conservation and GREEN Smart policies. She also was the boldest after creating the sub cabinet in increasing her energy from renewable energy by 50 percent by 2020. No other Governor or Democrat can claim that.

Yes, Arnie's hurting and he's trying to build his cred. But Sarah is showing how you can be smart and green at the same time. and increase opportunities, not take them away.

    Go Sarah!

as i've always said, if you deny evolution and think the earth is just a few thousand years old, you dont get to have a scientific opinion on anything. you shouldnt have ever been a governor, and in fact you shouldnt have even graduated high school.

Is there anyone else left for her to disagree with? She is a little lightning rod of controversy. It seems foolish to believe that billions of human inhabitants burning wood, coal and gas, and cutting down rainforests aren't somehow affecting the planet and its climate in some way. Even the least scientific mind should appreciate the footprint that we leave behind. Who wants to admit to the human toll we take on the planet while ignoring the overpopulation of the planet. We have countries that are grossly overpopulated, and no one in those countries is talking about it academically at a policy level in the government. Sarah seems so far removed from me here in Houston, Texas where it snowed last week. Was that a blip in the weather or a naturally occurring thing? Most lifelong Houstonians couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Why does she consistently think that her living location has any bearing on issues presented by top officials or scientists? This only decreases her reputation and potential of becoming a high level polititian again.

Firstly she stated her proximatey to Russia gives her the edge with foreign policy....

Secondly she stated her proximatey to cold climate allows her to understand climate issues more accurately then the top scientists of the world....

These are bogus claims and she makes herself look bad consisently...

While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we can't primarily blame man's activities for those changes," she wrote. "And while I did look for practical responses to those changes, what I didn't do was hamstring Alaska's job creators with burdensome regulations so that I could act 'greener than thou' when talking to reporters."

Do this nutty woman every make any sense when she speaks.
