(CNN) - Sarah Palin is hitting back at California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's dig at the former Alaska governor over the issue of climate change.

"Why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment?" Palin wrote on her Facebook page Tuesday night. "Perhaps he will recall that I live in our nation's only Arctic state and that I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change."

Palin's comments came hours after the California Republican questioned Palin's stance on climate change in an interview with the Financial Times at the Copenhagen climate change summit
"You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish?" said Schwarzenegger, who has backed strict new emissions controls to combat climate change. "Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the (Republican presidential) nomination? You have to take all these things with a grain of salt."

The former Republican vice presidential nominee has questioned whether human activity contributes to climate change, and wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post last week blasting the cap and trade policy promoted by the Obama administration to limit emissions. She has also called on President Obama to boycott the Copenhagen conference.

On her Facebook page Tuesday night, Palin said Schwarzenegger was acting "greener than thou."

"While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we can't primarily blame man's activities for those changes," she wrote. "And while I did look for practical responses to those changes, what I didn't do was hamstring Alaska's job creators with burdensome regulations so that I could act 'greener than thou' when talking to reporters."

Palin also mixed it up last week with former vice President Al Gore, who dubbed her a climate change "denier."

Also on her Facebook page, Palin criticized the former vice president for promoting "doomsday scenarios": "Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it."

This person is all of a sudden an expert on climate change, and just a few months ago she could answer a simple question. "What magazines do you read?" Wow!

Palin Facebook and Twitter pages should not be news.
Let's get a focus on real news and the responsible people that make it.
Your reporters need to get a life and stop publishing the senseless ramblings of a political has-been that came and went in a flash that was all she deserved.
Let's get our eye on the ball. There are serious issues and people out there that don't hide behind social networking sites to say things.
Are you going to report on every Facebook or Twitter comment out there? I am sure if you go to some of the hate-mongering sites there is some pretty juicy stuff to cover. Why ignore those? Why is Palin's pallid opinion so important to you?
Or does CNN have a hidden agenda to keep her face in the news cycle?

Sounds like the Washington two step Sarah, say one thing and do another. If you truely believe in climate change and claim to be the 1st to add a " sub cabinet position" Why are you calling for President Obama to boycott the confrence ? Sarah baby read the newspapers you claim you read. In it there is a picture of an iceberg, near New Zealand. Thats a warm region of the world. Do we need to draw you a picture. Global warming does exist, can we predict when or how it has happen , who knows but it does exist.

Yikes! It's scary that somebody like Sarah Palin has any influence at all when it comes to the complicated issue of climate change. We ought to go ahead and let her practice brain surgery, too.

Please do not talk about your "experience as a Governor". You failed to complete even one term !!

Sadly, I find myself on the same side of the "climate change" debate as Failin' Palin. The "accepted" science is largely junk and scientists with legitimate data that contradicts the currently accepted view are ignored and vilified. Still, I think that I'll go home, take a couple of Tylenol and hope that Gov Palin is gone when I wake up.

This is absolutely bueatiful, people like Arnold and Al Gore are exposing the extremely childish attention craving person that we have come to know as Sarah Palin......

These topics like "Climate Change" is a serious topic that should be discussed by serious people...

Someone like Sarah Palin has no business attempting to inject her child like actions....... this woman is ONLY interested in being talked about, and crowds of dumb people screaming her name.....

John McCain must want to crawl under a rock everytime this dispicable person shows the country how childish and devious she is, the constant bickering with ANYONE that exposes her is the proof in the pudding.....How many serious Politicians you know that argue with Comedians and Entertainers......?

I think frost bite damaged Ms Palin's brain. Palin says ""...I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change." I'm glad to know you're on top of it Palin, just like the Tobacco companies are on top of preventing teen smoking with their anti-smoking programs. Some people just join a cause as part of damage control, if not for an attempt to all together sabotage it... I'm looking at you Palin. When the oil dries up in Alaska, and you've strip mined the mountains and hunted wolves to extinction, tourism will be your final form of revenue, and good luck getting tourists to come to Alaska for the crappy weather. Good thing Alaska has a lot of space, because Palin's a waste of it.

  10. War and fiscal conservatism don't go hand-in-hand. Get the GOP out of our government.

She now agrees with the climate change folks but disputes the cause. Big deal. She's now flops due to undeniable firsthand evidence witnessed in her state. She first claimed climate change is a hoax. She now says climate change is real. Who's right? You decide.

Because life on earth matters more than money.

One Ex, and one Soon-to-be Ex, Governors yipping at one another. While mildly entertaining – they are both entirely irrelevant.

Come on Sarah, you quit as Governor of Alaska, Arnold runs the largest state in the nation. I don't think you get to slam him.

I wish we could all move on. The climate data is bad, the earth may or may not be warming, it may or may not be caused by human activity (like breathing). But, regardless, having clean air and water is a good thing and you'd think an outdoor oriented person like Palin would be pro-environment, which in fact is very much a conservative position.

If Palin is going to complain about Al Gore creating "doomsday scenarios", then Palin needs to stop complaining about "death pannels", and how Obama is destroying the economy and the world.

Still baffles me why reporters have a need, nay, a compulsion to publish anything this moron (foisted on us by mccain) says or writes. I guess she will eventually be known as "McCain's Curse"

So is this how Palin is going to going to effect positive change in our country – the reason for her quitting as governor? It boils down to her make postings in Facebook?!? How brave. She is a quitter, a whinner and one uneducated mouthpiece for small minds. At least she has her looks. Have some dignity Sarah, enjoy your book profits and go hide away. You have no second act from here forward.

I'm curious. Just how did Sarah Palin accomplish so much in an shortened term as governor? Could it be that she is taking credit for the actions of other , more responsible civil servants. You know, those folks who didn't cut and run!

I find it hilarious that Palin criticizes California for being in debt, when Alaska takes in what, $2.50 for every $1 the feds get from it? California is the best as far as it's ROI for the government. In other words, Palin's state is a pathetic leech.

They had to change the name from "global warming " to " climate change . " Does that tell you anything? Typical libs , change the name of the same animal and say it's different just to win.

How can anyone take Sarah Quiter Palin seriously? She should not even be given the platform to weigh in on anything. Just because she "wrote" a book (she didn't actually write it) she now thinks she can be up there in the forefront on the political stage. Well, Arnie is still the gov, he hasn't quit the job that the people gave him to do and he is working hard to bring California into the 21st century, while Palin is wanting to keep us in the dark ages forever.
