DC snowstorm chills Pelosi's global warming trip

A winter storm is expected to wallop the D.C. area Saturday.
A winter storm is expected to wallop the D.C. area Saturday.

Copenhagen (CNN) – In a strange twist, a Washington snowstorm is forcing Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, to make an early departure from a global warming summit here in Denmark.

Pelosi told CNN that military officials leading her Congressional delegation have urged the 21 lawmakers to leave Copenhagen several hours earlier than scheduled on Saturday.

The Speaker said she has agreed to the new travel plan so that lawmakers can get back to Washington before much of the expected storm wallops the nation's capital.

Pelosi is a storm waiting to happen anywhere she goes. What a loser!

21 US lawmakers, 1200 limos, and countless other delegates. Good thing these people are so worried about climate change and leaving a large carbon footprint. Imagine how much waste there would be if they weren't concerned for the environment.

Hmmmm, I would call that poetic justice or maybe even the Kharmic boom-a-rang trying to tell these idiots something....hello (knock, knock, knock) on the Botoxed forehead....anyone home?

Pelosi is a joke as is the so called global warming summit. Even with mounting evidence that CO2 cannot be causing our current trend, politicians, not scientists argue about what to do about it. Sure, go ahead and believe their idiocy, but the facts simply don't support their theories. This doesn't mean that we can't do things to improve our environment, but our current path of carbon credits, and the like are doomed to failure.

This country would be a lot better off if Pelosi made a very early departure from congress. I somtimes wonder if she doesn't have more power than Obama. Obama refuses to stand up to her. Disgusting woman.

Isn't that ironic? The global warming extortion meeting has been pummled by SNOW. DC is preparing to be pummled my SNOW, so the Botox prncess and her court have to leave early. Whew, glad we got that science settled.

I got such a kick out of the Fox "journalists" the other day when they said that snowfall in Houston was proof against global warming.

Guess what people? IT'S WINTER! Sometimes warm places get snow in the winter time.

Pelois is a true leader she's the only one that has the strength to stand strong to support the public option Obama and Reid is really starting to get on my bad side. Go Pelois!!

And when Pelosi arrives in Copenhagen, she will find the city buried under snow to. Must be nice to fly off on the taxpayer dime, millions of Americans are out of work and desperate but in the meantime our politicians are wasting our money like it was theirs. Hillary wants to give away a 100 billion of our tax dollars each year to assist small nations and we have States laying of teachers, police and others. Seems some one's priorities are screwed up

Before or after the usual misinformed pun from the global warming denialist, let's just remember that the seasons (including Winter) are caused by the inclination of the Earth toward the Sun, therefore unless we are going into a 'Hot Age' (not the case) there will still be Winters and Summers around.

LMAO. And as a good liberal she will still try to perpetuate the fraud, just like our Nobel Peace Prize winners. Tools of the socialists that want to destroy capitalism, so they can be the elite. Liberals are absolutely insane and bankrupting this country fiscally and morally.

Reid is coming out of this as a heroic figure given the major obstacles the Senate has presented to stop the healthcare bill. On the other hand Pelosi is still the Republicans best asset in getting Republicans elected into office. Although I personally like and respect Pelosi, she has to go. Can we please elect some one who is NOT from CA to be 3rd in line for the Presidency and represent Democrats. No politician, absolutly None, from CA can sustain Nation wide credibility.

What exactly did the taxpayers receive in exchange for Nancy and her cronies dumping pollutants into the atmosphere from their military aircraft in order to spend 24 hours in Copenhagen? These people are beyond ridiculous.

Perhaps the snow storm will be Inhofe's reason for leaving Copenhagen so soon as well? Please do cover the conference given by Inhofe in Demark, CNN. Be sure to add ALL his remarks to the foreign press. Not very often has our country been so well represented.

    It was truly priceless!

Nature has a funny way of displaying absolute truth. You can have all of the agendas you want, but nature pays attention only to perfect science. This just happened to be extra ironic in the timing.

Must have been a disappointment to leave the shopping trip early.

For what purpose did the speaker of the house and twenty-one members of congress have for this trip. None of them were invited to speak at this meeting.

Another worthless trip for members of congress for the taxpayers to foot the bill.

Every sitting member of the house and the senate needs to be voted out of office to send a message for these overpaid do-nothing people that it is time for them to get a real job.

Maybe they can come up with some more "trickery" to explain all this cold weather way.

"In a strange twist"!? When are people going to realize "Global Warming" isn't just about warming? It means more extreme winters and summers, with shorter springs and falls. So with the reality of global warming upon us, there is absolutely nothing strange about a snow storm in DC this time of year. Do some research Ed. Or go get a job with FOX. They love rubes like you.

Tsk Tsk Tsk...I guess when your reporters went to school they didn't explain the far reaching effects of GLOBAL WARMING. They didn't explain to you that global warming causes disruption of the Jet Stream. That it pulls unusual cold air into places never been before. That the melting ice cools the Gulf Stream and cause Europe coast line to cool. Gee way back in the 40's we were taught all that. But I suppose it makes better copy to make "fun" of global warming because it helps the CORPORATE masters to keep from doing their part in preventing it.

NOAA's website documents that the average global temperature has been declining for the last 8 to 10 years.

The irony of a DC snowstorm in early December forcing early departures from Copenhagen is a beautiful addition to the growing list of reasons that Americans don't respect our elected leaders and their agendas.
