    I am sure it will...just like your healthcare bill with no reform. You will cave in, just like every other democrat, and then pretend that it was a great victory. Your minions would shower praises for your "leadership", and at the end, NOTHING will change.

    Congratulations!

    If the libs created half the jobs they claimed they did we'd be in great shape. Every spending bill is a "jobs" bill without the actual jobs to show for it….but bill will be historical, that I can guarantee.

    There are two SNIFFITS? I just thought he had finally gotten his head out of his @$$.

    This bag of wind has no clue. There is no way the Dems are going to pass cap and tax especially if they destroy the health care system. No one cares about emissions, we want you to stop spending you liberal LOON. Stop taxing. All of this stuff will be repealed anyway in the next 4 years, 2010 and 2012, will be a Dem bloodbath..

    Hey ib, you're a real intellectual tour-de -force, ha! Idiot. Seriously, get out of the Stone Age. Just because you don't have the mental capacity to understand historic climate data and climate modeling, it doesn't mean that climate change is ' unproven theory, nothing more.'

    Guess what? People with far greater mental capacity than your own have studied this problem for over 30 years and their consensus is that human-induced climate change is indeed real and its impacts will be significant. I'll take their word for it over yours. Seriously, people like you shouldn't even be allowed to formulate an opinion on these complex issues. Stop wasting people's time with your drivel

    Nancy Pusslosi is certifiably insane if she thinks cap and trade is passing the Senate. If she thinks the American people are going to stand around and watch them systematically destroy this country and give BILLIONS to other countries while millions go without jobs, she's going to be rudely awakened come next November.

    Wake up America, before it is too late.

    "The Moscow-based Institute of Economic Analysis (IEA) now says that climate warming “scientists” at the Hadley Center for Climate Change may have deliberately falsified Russian climate data"

    This has a tendency to happen when you begin your research with a predetermined conclusion in mind. They just omit what doesn't support their conclusion and now we get cap-and-trade....all scientific like (wink wink).

    Meanwhile, Gore is making out like a bandit. Libs never seem to mind profit when it's in the pocket of a democrat.

    I don't understand the hostility towards Nancy Pelosi. I think she is a great leader and appreciate the stands she takes.

    For the record, she did NOT lie about the CIA. In fact, Leon Panetta, shortly after having a tantrum at her remarks, admitted the agency had misled members of congress. She was vindicated on that. Of course they misleed people.

    The negativity shown here about her is nothing more than shameful partisanship.

    "You shut down a clean coal plant, and open up a wind farm." Just so everyone know what a windmill farm would be like to replace real power generation, one 500MW coal fired plant, would need to be replaced with 230 fifty story windmills that would have to stretch for 110 miles. That's reality people. So since no one wants to see these ugly monsters stretching all over the country, it is not only ridiculous to propose it, it is even dumber to tax Americans for it. ONE COAL FIRED PLANT OR 110 MILES OF 50 STORY WINDMILLS. REMEMBER THAT IS JUST ONE PLANT! Oh and by the way nuclear plant put out more than 900WM, do the math loons.

    I think anyone with half a brain can acknowledge that we have polluted this Earth to some extent. Anyone with a half of a heart can agree that something needs to be done. Do we need to stop everything and get right on it? IDK... No one getting there facts from the media can be sure of what our fate will be if we do nothing. Leave it to the experts! As far as I can tell, the experts say we need to change the way we live. To everyone else I say, STFU!

    More information the liberal loons don't want you to know: Educate yourselves these politicians do not have our best interests in mind when they don't pass this information on:

    The total electrical generating capacity in the USA is about 1 trillion megawatts, and 70% of that comes from burning fossil fuel. With a typical wind generator rated 1.5 megawatts, it would take 466 MILLION TURBINES to replace fossil fuel!

    Oh by the way, typical nuke plants are 1 gigawatts. It would take about 700 of them to do the same thing. At one per square mile, we are only talking about a tract of land 26 x 26 miles, provided cooling water is available.

    The Republicans would rather keep their selfish big $ lobbyists happy and let America along with China and emerging industrialized nations destroy the planet. Yeah save $5 so the planet can be destroyed by pollution, overpopulation and greed...makes sense considering the Republicans don't even believe in science. Is the world still flat too?

    No it won't. I doesn't have a chance. Not even a little bit. The fact that Obama's admin is totally ignoring all the stories breaking about the fraud that is 'climate change' is telling. They knew about it the entire time, but we already suspected that.

  17. Just Say No to Socialism

    Lets see, you want to pass a climate bill. Is it a global warming bill or a climate bill? You guys keep changing the name to fit your argument. Has anyone looked at those bogus emails yet? You want to pass a healthcare bill? You want to pass a cap and trade bill? Has anyone told you what unemployment is and all you want to do is increase spending and the cost for businesses. Well what do you expect from Reid and Pelosi but a joke

    i still get over the fact some on here still think there is this 'status quo' talking point . The 'status quo' is now the democrats whom have been in power in congress since 2006 and the white house for almost a year.

    My goodness. Every time you open a paper now Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the Democrats are introducing something new that costs a trillion dollars each. You have Tarp, the health care package and now they want to spend another trillion on a bill for climate change that will jack up the cost for everybody's electric bill and cost people jobs. When in the world will they come to their senses and say enough's enough? What does it take? If spending money is the answer why not just print every man, woman, and child 1 Million dollars each and borrow it from China. What is the problem with that IF the deficit doesn't matter as some might say?

    Dear Expat:

    Please have a nice trip to wherever you're going. If I knew you, and knew you would stay gone, I would buy your ticket for you.

    For you to say

    Climate change = hoax
    Taxes = bad
    America = infallible

    is just plain ignorant. Show me proof that there's truly a climate issue going one. Don't give me Al Gore or any of that other crap. Give me undeniable proof that WE are to blame and that this isn't a normal ecological occurrence. Until then, I'm not willing to pay 2 times the energy cost to do things.

    As for taxes = bad – yes, taxes are bad when all the government does is take, take, take and guess what, take more. I pay more than my fair share and all it does is go to entitlement programs for those to lazy to get off their butts. Corporate taxes are bad because it discourages an activity – investment and job creation.

    Get an education and a clue and then come back once you understand things.

    If Pelosi says it's true then it must be. Did you see her laughing when Obama claimed there was no pork in the stimulus bill? Seriously, she and her cronies are the most corrupt in history.

    Hi Damon,

    What's the point. I can provide you with endless stats and scientific papers on global warming, and you'll just reject them because your mind is already made up. Funny how you guys never ask Sarah Palin to back up any of her outlandish claims.

    The rest of your post is an angry rant against a caricature of liberals. It would be just as irresponsible of me to assume all conservatives are toothless Appalachian yokels who drive around in trucks and marry their cousins.

    So seriously, there's just no point in arguing with you people.
