So we get mad at Franken for some thing dummy Mccain did before the Iraq war started- but say nothing about Leiberman messing up the health care bill for the American people-go figure. He is so far in the insurance co. pocket he is scared to death about his future in politics. I'm trying to figure out just what the republican party stands for besides looking out for money for themselves. Just how bright are our republican senators. Seriously would someone with time find out the college they went to and there grade point averages. Listening to some of them speak like Mrs. Fox etc. it would be interesting.

"Once again you liberals at CNN support this type of behavior..."

I know. The GALL of liberals expecting people to follow the rules, using exactly the same methods as the Republicans did when they in power. The sheer, unmitigated gall.

People say that IOKIYAR, but they forget that it's ONLY ok if you're a Republican.

Franken is now and has always been a classless buffoon. Joel Lieberman has more ethical standards that Al Franken could ever deam of having and the people of American should get ready for more tasteless statements and actions by that clown Franken

Sen. Al Frankin did what was necessary to keep all speakers on an even forum. Joe Lieberman got what he deserved, he was told he ran out of time.

Senator Harry Reid needs the same backbone as Senator Frankin and take away Senator Leiberman's chair position on the Homeland Security Committee. Maybe, Senator Lieberman may then realize that the Republicans aren't that wild about him. After all, have you ever seen the Republican Party allow an Independent to caucus with them, or assign a Committee Chair position to an Independent?

I say buy "Traitor" Joe and Hadassah Lieberman a one-way ticket to Israel and don't let them back in the US!!

Senator Frankin did the absolutely right thing. It's to bad the other Dems. don't have the balls to go along with it also. Liberbutt is nothing but a grandstanding Republican that should be stripped of his committee chairmanship. What a jerk this guy is.!

I support Al Franken's decision to stop Lieberman. He should be treated like any other OPPONENT. I think Democrats should have been checking Lieberman's behavior all along. He always sides on the side of the opposition and obstructionists. I cannot believe his behavior is tolerated. I think he is an attention hound. When he campaigned for McCain he showed where his loyalties lie.

Senator McCain must have a very short memory. He used the same procedural rules to shut down debate.

Should try to remember the adage: "Far better to remain silent and be thought the fool, then open your mouth and remove all doubt."

It's about time somebody had the gumption to shut this obstructionist windbag down.
Three cheers for Franken for putting Joe in his place.
Now let's get him out of the Senate altogether.
Now, how do we equally shut down the rest of the Republican obstructionist windbags our freinds on the right have saddled us with?
It's time for them to go.

I applaud Senator Franken. He should have asked security to escort Lieberman out of the senate. Lieberman is a health threat to this nation. He has mutilated the health care bill into health care bull.

McCain is old and has a poor memory. Good job Senator Franken!

On October 10, 2002 — just ahead of the looming mid-term elections — the Senate rushed a debate on a war authorization giving President Bush the power to use force against Iraq.

During the course of the frenzied floor debate, then-Sen. Mark Dayton (D-MN) spoke in favor of an amendment offered by Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) that would have restricted Bush’s constitutional powers to wage war against Iraq. After a minute and a half, Dayton ran out of time, prompting this exchange:

The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator’s time has expired.

Mr. DAYTON. I ask for unanimous consent that I have 30 seconds more to finish my remarks.

    Mr. McCAIN. I object.

I as an independent that I am is also very frustrated with Senator Lieberman, he doesn't have any consistency and I find hard to trust a person like him, who has received more money from the private insurance sector than any other independent senator, he is putting his interest first when health care reform is on the table, "God Money" his God is all he cares about not the health of the American people.

The worst thing about Republicans is that they don't have anything legitimate to complain about – so they whine about any little thing that comes up.

Loserman is such a headache. Of course he's against any changes to health care. His home state of Connecticut houses the largest amount of health insurance companies in the nation. It's no different than the fear-mongering Faux News Nazi's hawking gold.
