Joe Lieberman and McCain got a taste of their own medicine. Joe does not care because he will not run for reelection. Joe has a blush job lined up with one of the insurance companies. I wish somebody would investigate that

Good job Al. The best part is that McShame did the same thing. Too senile to remember or just a liar like LIEberman and the rest of the GOP.

    Seriously... Democrats:

QUIT letting the Repiglicans flame this and get you all riled up.

    – McCain himself has stopped Sen Dayton (MN) from getting extra time in the past. Mc.Alzheimers just forgot.

    – Franken is NOT a joke. At least he is a Havard grad with good credentials. Don't forget – the Repukelicans are the ones that voted in Ahnold The Terminator and even tried to see if they could change the constitution to get him to be Prez. Don't let them think that voting Franken was a mistake – its not.

    – The Repiglican haters are just doing what they do best – like Faux News – skew the debate and the topic at hand – which is that their side was trying to stall the movement on this bill with Droopy Dog Joe droning on and on about stuff. Franken followed rules and muzzled him. GET OVER IT! IT WAS PROPER AND WITHIN HIS RIGHT TO DO! You @sswipes act like you've never been smacked on the nose before – well... Here it is: SMACK!

    – Franken has 8@lls of brass! If only we had more like him (on both sides, I might add, that kept the interest of the people and not their personal interests in the forefront)

DEMS: See the Bee-Ess negative comments for what they are. Stalling and smokescreens – its what the Repukes do best.

The "Use Before This Date" for both John McCain and Joe Lieberman passed several years ago.

Both of them are embarrassments to the people they formerly were.

I don't understand why this is being considered as a bad move on Franken's part. They have time limits all the time. This is important and Lieberman has been hogging time and I might on the Media as well. It's time to focus on those that have not been given the opportunity so Franken did the right thing in my opinion.

To: sick of sell out Dems. How quickly you forget. I'll take the community organizer over the village idiot and the biggest coward of a vice president any day. As far as the comedian is concerned he at least graduated (cum laude from Harvard 1973) without his daddys help. It amazes me that after less than a year no one remembers the $5T deficit left by Bush/Cheney, not counting the almost $1T for the wars, that was not counted in the GOP budget. Pres. Obama at least had the gut to count it in his budget. When were the Republicans going to get arround to paying for their wars? They must have been too busy making sure their rich corporate buddies were going to make tons of money at the cost of a few thousand troops
So ok it's Obama's problem now, what do you propose to do to help? Say no to everything being tried to right the nation? Quit listening to Rush and Beck and get some independant info from some different sources and maybe you will see thru the GOP lies and see the truth that if the Pres. is allowed to try some solutions to our problems you will see the GOP for the "do for the wealthy and the hell with the rest of us mentality."

Al Franken is the biggest mistake the people of Minnesota ever elected. His intelligence is suspect. We needed to elect a statesman this last election. Instead we got another politician who is party governed, and can't make good decisions on his own. He just does what Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi tells him. As long as this country is going to be lead by party politicians and by their lobbiest cronies, we are going to keep sliding down the slope to a third rate country. The greed by Wall Street bankers and the party politics by the majority of our politicians is killing this great nation.

I agree with the one poster..It's about time Democrats had some backbone. I can remember in the not to distant past when the GOP held the majority in both houses and made the Democrats hold hearings in the captiol basement, turned microphones and lights off during debates when Dems were speaking. At least Franken was following Senate rules and just simply denied a request he was within legal rights to do so.

Im happy there was video depicting McCain being unresponsive to a democratic member of the senate who asked for some extra time. He where does this Alzheimerish old geezer get off saying this was the first time he had seen this loss of comity?
He is a liar...and a hypocrite. Dont do as he does, just do what he says...a trainwreck if elected to the presidency.
Send your girlfriend a new visor while youre at it...since she's so respectful.

Senator McCain, excuse me, now you are complaining to the Dems that this is outrageous behaviour! You are a laugh.

You sir, are the hateful one or do you not remember after all these years the rhetoric you have spewed, not to mention the hateful lies you spoke about our wonderful President Obama on the campaign trail. I could go on and on. We know that your so called buddy, Sen. Lieberman, has been brainwashed by you, Senator Graham and all your Repub goons to sway Lieberman to your side. We know that it is in the offing that Sen. Lieberman will join the Repub party soon.

Senator Liberman is a turncoat. He actually deserved this coming from Senator Franken. I stand up and applaud Senator Franken. He had the guts to speak back to your buddy. You are surprised! Really, you are surpised!

  14. We're screwed

2009 – the year freedom died.

So if you have any disagreement with Saint Obama and company, you're speech is silenced. Free speech is dead – long live St. Obama for making it this way.

And people complained about Bush????? Obama has launched this into full throttle. I'm just waiting for goon squads showing up to beat dissension down. Any disagreement with the Chosen One is met with character assassinations or dissenters being forcible silenced.

Oh well, it was a nice country. Thanks for voting this bozo (and the others like him) into office.

    Heil Hit...I mean Obama.

"FYI: Al Franken comes from a highly-educated family. He graduated cum laude from Harvard in 1973 with a BA in Political Science"

And like Obama, he still manages to be stupid! The healthcare bill is going down in flames, the people that actually work in America will not stand by and dole out more cash so that dead beat's can have health insurance.

@ sick of sellout democrats.. You had better get use to seeing Sen Al Franken for another 5 yrs, doing the people's business and that is making sure EVERYONE is represented, not just the hyper wealthy. We wouldn't be in this mess if someone were really watching out for everyone. Trickle down Reaganomics is a joke and we are all reaping the benefits from it now, aren't we? Tax cuts for billionaires, 2 wars and medicare part D, all on the credit card and people are now just beginning to wake up? How convenient now that we have a Dem controled congress and WH.

Too many dems think they are justified in acting like jerks because the republicans have acted like jerks. One main reason I can't stand either party–both are too fanatical. What happened to honest and open intellectual discourse instead of name calling and gutteral comments? Grow up all of you!!

Quit sending your nasty comments about everybody–you don't help any issue, you only generate negative ideas–what are we all coming to?

And just to incite a few more of the fanatics–the health care bill is a hodgepodge of payoffs to a number of conservative interests big businesses, and pet pork projects–the ONLY thing the passing of this load-of-crap bill will do is bankrupt the country–early and for generations to come.

Are all of you Democrats just complete A holes? I'm wondering why no one can offer anything substantial other than to say the other party is a bunch of idiots? Very classy. As for Franken, he barely made it in the Senate and now is stopping others from talking. Nice, if this were on the other side, all you Democratic morons would be just foaming at the mouth, but it's okay for you hippocrites.

Al is MY MAN. He did not try to be actually. Just did what his leader told him to.
Ole John McCain, I hope you polished your shoes before you put them in your mouth. "I am outraged by this lack of Comity, (even though I did it myself a few years ago)." Just because you are old doesn't mean that people don't think you are a washed-up fool!
