Palin continues to blast climate change believers

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin continued to blast believers in climate change Friday.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin continued to blast believers in climate change Friday.

(CNN)– In a late night posting on her Twitter feed, Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin continued to blast climate change believers Friday, calling the talks in Copenhagen, Denmark a representation of man's "arrogance," for believing people have an impact on nature.

"Arrogant&Naive2say man overpwers nature," Palin tweeted.

"Earth saw clmate chnge4 ions;will cont 2 c chnges.R duty2responsbly devlop resorces4humankind/not pollute&destroy;but cant alter naturl chng," the former Republican vice presidential nominee wrote.

Palin's latest comments come after weeks of tangling over climate change with California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, former vice president Al Gore, and President Obama.

In an op-ed in the Washington Post, Palin urged the president to boycott the climate talks, calling his presence at the conference a "political move."

"The last thing America needs is misguided legislation that will raise taxes and cost jobs – particularly when the push for such legislation rests on agenda-driven science," Palin wrote. "Without trustworthy science and with so much at stake, Americans should be wary about what comes out of this politicized conference. The president should boycott Copenhagen."

When Schwarzenegger questioned Palin's stance on climate change, Palin quickly hit back saying the actor-turned-governor was acting "greener than thou."

And when former vice president Al Gore dubbed her a climate change "denier," Palin hit back at him too, accusing him of promoting "doomsday scenarios."

"Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it," Palin wrote on her Facebook page.

During the vice presidential debate last year, Palin said she was for capping carbon emissions but did not elaborate on how she would do that.

Sarah Palin knows EXACTLY what she is doing. She is appealing to the base, to the people who showed up at her rallies and who are buying her books by the truckload.

The rest of us may scoff at them but they are for real. These are the people who "want my country back" and Sarah is their standard-bearer.

The global warming scam is just beginning to unravel....and Sarah is out front on this. A smart move for her politically. It's funny how she is constantly outsmarting all of the people who are constantly calling her stupid.

I know we are all afraid to death of Sarah Palin and the possibility that she could run for president. I would love to see her publicity just go away. On the other hand, she does give us something to laugh about – over and over again!!!

"Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it,"

When exactly did the government attempt to "affect" gravity? And just how "long before" is she talking about, considering that she does not believe in evolution?

Another classic from this worthless excuse for a leader.

Twitter made to order for someone who knows next to nothing, but can make unchallenged pronouncements. Can you imagine Palin trying to defend her nonsense in a fair debate?

I don't watch CNN and haven't looked at the Web site for a long time (I see you have a new design). Just happened to click over in case there were interesting weather pictures. I notice a big story linked to from the front page about Sara Palin. Sarah Palin is an idiot. One reason I don't watch your network or read your Web page is that you give unwarranted and uncritical coverage to idiots like this. What a waste of time. Well - I won't be back.

Give this woman a break. Palin is an important voice balancing those Godless, liberal-biased "agenda driven scientist" who not only promote global warming, but who dare challenge the bible with outrageous claims that humans evolved from primordial soup. These are same baby-killing scientists who meddle in God's affairs by trying to cure disease with stem cell research. Of course, without scientists, we never would have figured out how to stabilize a helicopter so that you could get a clean shot from the air on a caribou running across the tundra.

She's now in bed with the Saudis. They don't want any change in the status quo. If ideas like hers prevail, we will continue to pay a premium for oil (it costs a lot of money to maintain a global navy and large army to protect energy supplies.)

Even if she does not buy the science, you would think she would want us to get off the "oil needle". Guess she hasn't thought this through.

We just got rid of a "C student" as president. I don't think we need another.

51% Palin; 49% Obama. Once she wins Iowa, she rolls; and I'm on my way to Canada. How did this happen ?

This tweet certainly emphasizes Mrs. Palin's lack of understanding or appreciation for science. She doesn't even know the difference between ions and eons. It is truly sad that someone so poorly educated in science and technology would ever be seriously considered for a leadership position by anyone.
