"If the republicans ever did anything for the American people, it would be the first time, and thus, historic also."

Keep telling yourself that after the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010.

This man is a legend in his own mind and it makes me sick to listen to him. Open your wallets for O'Bama.

Given the horrendous mess the criminally vile and incompetent Bush administration left, and the acts of treason committed against the President, almost on a daily basis, by the foaming-rabid right wing Republican Party of Hate, Obama has done a pretty good job so far. I'm not happy with all that he has done, but no one gets all that they want, and who among us doesn't have to make compromises.

That said, Barack needs to make the right decisions, hard or not. and only time will tell.

We'll need at least two years to see if Barack's decisions are right, and George Dummy Bush taught us that a really wrong decision can be spotted the same day it is made.

All you right-wing pukes posting here should all be deported to Mogadishu, you all belong in a failed state.

He can make a hard decision. May take three months to decide and he has yet to get one right. But when he is wrong he has the courage to say his critics are racist or that he misspoke and really ment something else.
Like he did not campaign for the public option in the healthcare bill. Or maybe that he would change the way business was done in Washington, or that the healthcare bill debate would be on C-SPAN for all to watch the congress at work, or no lobbist in his government and on and on.
He hard made the choices to honor his word, right?

I think Obama is doing a great job. What so many critics don't seem to get (or even acknowledge) is that he is working for what is best for the USA, not the left nor the right.

Anyone who thinks it is 'dithering' to take careful consideration of all the facts and strategies regarding the escalation of the war really doesn't understand the true responsibility of sending America's soldiers into harms way. The fact that the people who are responsible for waging the war concur with his decisions should be enough for all but those who only want to support their party-either the far right or far left.

Anyone that thinks that Obama should have accomplished more at the Copehagen summit needs to answer the question "Who makes the laws in the United States?" It is not the President. Until our Congress actually endorses some action, the President can not totally commit to anything, nor can he force any other country to make commitments.

Anyone who thinks that Obama should have forced Congress to pass a better Health Care reform needs glasses and a hearing aid. The GOP refused to even engage in a bipartisan approach to Health Care reform (with perhaps the exception of Olympia Snow). They stated from the get go that they would rather use Obama's inability to get any reform passed to defeat Obama. Essentially they were more commited to politics as usual than helping the American public. Even when they knew that the Democrats would pass a bill, the GOP still chose to 'just say no' rather than improve the bill. They could have gotten malpractice limits and some better cost controls in exchange for a bipartisan bill, but they wanted to make a political point more than they wanted to help the country.

Even with all the rancor, Obama accomplished more in his first year that most Presidents ever accomplish. And on top of that, he has restored America's reputation in the world. Thank you Mr President.

By hard decisions he means not what America wants. People voted for a change from Bush but not to the other extreme. He has run up more debt than Bush did in 8 years. I know , I know, he had to because of what Bush did right? The stimulus was a pork filled bill. Health care will bury us in debt. If he gets his way with Cap and Trade, there will be only government jobs left. The again that is what the liberals want. The government to run everything and tell us how to live because if you disagree with a liberal you are too stupid to make decisions.
