Everything the Democrats do seems to be "Historic" or "Unprecedented". And the reason they do anything is because they "Inherited" some problems. I bet the problems they INHERITED were UNPRECIDENTED and HISTORIC. They can't seem to make a speech without using some form of these three words as if they need to justify their actions.

Obama has really did a great job this year. If you don't believe me, just ask him.

  3. If you want something ruined, put a republican in charge

If the republicans ever did anything for the American people, it would be the first time, and thus, historic also.

  4. Speaking for Liberals

I don't think anybody knows or cares how critical liberals are of President Obama. There is a laundry list of things that we would like for him to do that has not been done and, from all appearances, it appears there are somethings that we will not get.
However, in spite of this, President Obama has done an excellent job as President of The United States of America. (there is so much pride flowing through my finger tips as I type that out.) He has made very tough decisions, unpopular decisions. He has already proven to be WAY BETTER THAN THE LAST GUY!

Good decisions? On what? Where? The big stimulus bill that defined months of thumbing your nose up at the Republicans and most Americans screaming," Don't do it!" has proven to be a bona-fide failure. The financial bailout of banks sure propped them up when they needed it but did nothing to help lending or the economy. This is a boom time holiday on Wall Street and in DC, but nowhere else in America as we are just saddled with the obscene national debt run up to do what?

The economy is still on life support and now you are off to spend another $1 trillion to create a health care bureaucracy that again just drags down the economy, raises the cost of health care and creates no jobs.

How can anyone who is paying attention to the big picture say that the decisions this year have done anything but send this country deeper down the big swirl? It has been ugly and very disheartening to those of us who really care about the future of this country.

Thank you President Obama for everything you are doing for our country. I salute you for making the hard decisions that will help the majority of Americans. May God Bless you, your family and our country.

He can make hard decisions like whether to go "home" to Hawaii for Christmas or "home" to Chicago for Christmas. Hard decisions like who to get a gift dog from, and what to name it (after himself, of course). He can make hard decisions like tell a huge lie about what "health care reform" will cost, or just a big lie. Hope and change my foot.

and another thing!!! The Grand Obstruction Party ain't helpin. In midterm elections, some people need to go on both sides of the aisle, but what we most certainly don't need is more Republicans. They have spent the entire year proving that they are not part of the solution, the are part of the problem. The Dems ain't perfect, but they ain't republicans either. The GOP is the party that put us in this bind. The GOP blindly followed Bush and they drove this country in to the ground. That is why they lost last year. There failure to admit guilt and help us out of situation they put us in will be there downfall. The last thing we need is to have them back in power.
JUST REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME THEY WERE IN POWER

Having destroyed our entire economy for generations, if not forever; having ridiculed and diminished our country by apologizing, grovelling and bowing before the world; having ruined the best health care system in the world and raised our taxes substantially in doing so; yes, Obama can indeed make bone headed ("hard") decisions. Marx and Lenin would be so proud...

It only takes four months of "dithering" and whining to make those hard decisions. Perhaps next election we can find a compromise between Bush who shot from the hip and Obumbles who couldn't make a decision to save his life.

They don't have to make up any facts of the current changes being made is of historic significent. If one can't see that, one must still have on blinders or suffering from selective amnesia like the Repubs and anything President Obama do is wrong crowd haters.

Note again, please, that Obama thinks this is all about him. He has no concern for the American citizens who have to struggle to pay the taxes for his resume expansion.

Only history can judge us where we will end up in the history of the human race, but personally, I think President Obama has done a commendable job considering the mess he was handed; no I do not blame President Bush for severe messes the United States and the world is in. The environmental crisis, the healthcare crisis, the credit crisis, the housing crisis, the economic crisis, the 2 wars that were started irresponsibily; one of which we should have focused on all along, Afganistan, was ignored, was called by our irresponsibility as human beings to take charge of doing what is right for the Earth. We have become self serving, greedy, and a instant gradification/ impatient society. We need to change our ways, and make the necessary sacrifices, buckle down, and change our very behavior within ourselves if we ever hope to see a better future. I say the most important issue to me is the environment that we humans treat very horrid; the climate affects all 6.7 billion of us. To destroy the life out of the Earth that gave us life is sad and disheartening; I am 19, and I do not want to see the US and the world be destroyed by OUR irresponsibility. I know this will generate comments saying that I am a tree hugger "liberal", but that will not change the fact that all of us need to take responsibility for our own future for once in our lifetimes, instead of thinking for our selfish selves. It is our choice; what is your choice?

    Liberals are "Economic terrorist"
Proven over and over throughout time.

Look at Michigan, two liberal senators and a very liberal governor...... Look at that state. It's a total mess.

Without taxpayer money from other sates they would be bankrupt. Look at California ...etc

Liberals DO NOT understand budgets period. THey will bankrupt everything they touch.

So President Obama can make hard decision. President Bush made bad decisions. Now we need someone to make the right decision, or that is asking too much.

Those morons who are writing here that Obama has not made any difficult decisions, or those pantie-wearers who are whining that it took him awhile to make some of them, clearly have never had to make significant decisions in their own pathetic lives so they do not understand 1) what they are and 2) the need to carefully weigh all information before making such decisions. If you would be ready to throw 40,000 American lives under the Taliban bus just because a man asks you to, without first exploring all the potential consequences and other plausible options, then we as a country thank GOD that you are not in any decision-making position. If you are such a mental midget that you think the decisions that have been made so far are not 'important' ones, then again, real Americans are so pleased that you are not able to influence our nation's policies with your three-bricks-shy load. You should shut up and stop criticizing your betters since you clearly are clueless.

  23. bs,

Thanks and sincere gratitude to President Obama and his family for caring about the world in which we all live. It is amazing how the critics will come out and criticize no matter what. The president remains focused on his job as president and dosen't pay any attention to what the critics say or the polls. President Barack Obama continues to give full attention to what needs to be done to restore and correct all of the ills in our world today. President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are both brilliant and they continue to give their best. The critics make those crazy remarks because they are jealous and shocked to know that African Americans are smart and they do know how to run this country.

I for one am very very proud of our president. He is truly concerned about the American people despite all the arguments against his agenda. That's just plain jealousy and childishness. That what happens when kids don't get their own way.

    Dear Mr.President,
we the hopeful Americans who voted for you do not doubt your good & honest intent to do good by the American people.

However the version of Health Care Bill passed by the senate goes to show that you & those who are with you on this had to bow down to the relentless onslaught of Insurance Cos,lobbies & those lawmakers who work for them.

No Public Option or Medicare for aging 55yr olds, no import of inexpensive medicines for Americans, slashing Medicare budget. Making health insurance mandatory for those who cannot afford premiums & then penalizing them. Wish you could have made the harder decision on this to face up to opposition.

The same on the two wars we are embroiled in. Special interest & lobbies won out again.
You are our chance finally to loosen the stranglehold of these shadows over Washington so that the American people win – do that Mr. President , make the hard decision. May God Bless you & America.
