Several days after the event, he is willing to make a statement. He's a fast mover. Don't want to offend anyone, of course. By the way, why is it that you can no longer get up to go to the bathroom 1 hour before the flight ends, but you can still carry your matches and lighters? Has anyone ever travelled with small children, or gotten a case of diarrhea from the airplane food? Have no fear, though. You have to leave your shampoo at home. That may be dangerous! Gotta love it. Why would the Brits put this guy on a no fly and not renew his visa, but the US doesn't bother? There's nothing wrong with our security system, according to Napolitano.

Could you be a little MORE vague CNN? is he making a statement about terrorism (3 tries and 1 success). Is he finally going to grow a spine and call what happened at FT Hood terrorism? is he going to address Korea or Iran? Is he going to apologize for attempting to void the US constitution with fed govt healthcare? was he made an honorary judge on American Idol?

enough with speeches. It is time for this administration to start sharing intelligence information with Congress.

They have changed the way they monitor and handle terror intelligence and it is not working. Time to identify weaknesses and fix the system. Enough with the speeches with patronizing tones. Someone needs to tell this President that you can't defeat this enemy with speeches.

  7. all the news that's fit to omit

Can he make a statement on his nitwith head of Homeland security who actually said that the "systems in placed worked".

No "Brownie" err Janet, THEY DID NOT WORK, the only reason people are not dead today is because the "man made disaster" messed up and the passengers GRABBED HIM.

The guys Father begs the US embassy for help in stopping his son and what does the gutless coward Obambi do, he puts him on a naughty list that means bleep.

One and done O'golfer in chief.

Quit protecting the terrorists and protect US the citizens.

Will Obama make the statement or his teleprompter. Is this the long awaited announcement that he and Hugo Chavez are the same person? Will it be that the Christmas Day bomb threat was Bush's fault? Will it be that Hawaii does not have to pay the increased cost for Medicaid? Will it be an apology to Iran for the Bush administration having caused all of those deaths of dissidents yesterday?

    Cue the teleprompter...

"I am concerned.... and its all Bush's fault"

    Obama's Administration is TOTALLY INEPT!

    WOOHOO!!! I can't wait!!!

Wait a second. A statement on what? Something important, or did he just realize he hasn't had any face time on tv recently?

"Today, I walked around in my swim trunks on the beach while much of the nation is currently covered in snow. I do this so I can stress the importance of global warming while highlighting the plight of the unemployed."

He'll use the terror scare to convince his liberal lefties that this is why we needed more troops in Afghanistan, and he will convince his neo-con buddies that he can make a strong statement on Iran.

Either way ordinary Americans will lose, because, he won't talk about jobs or how the federal reserve is stealing our wealth and our homes.

It never ceases to amaze me that the media doesn't attempt to explain, as far as I know, why these people want to kill us. Wouldn't that be a normal part of the process to try to find a solution? If not, why don't we just bomb the hell out of them and get it over with?

Hopefully he will state that his administration will now take a serious look at the procedures put in place by the Bush administration and take action to tighten up his mish mash security plan.

President Obama, you need to check on Janet N. For her to say that security measures were in place when the incident happen in Detroit. The passeengers on the plane controlled the problem not your security plan. Janet N. failed and your security system failed, thank God for fast acting passengers and a failed device!

    Where's the deficit at today?

lol how nice of Obama to take a break from his Hawaiian vacation during the middle of a financial crisis with 10% unemployement (at least) to comment on a terrorist attack that occurred 3 days ago. The guy cracks me up. Even funnier is that people still support him.

Whew--I know that I feel better now that Obama is "going to make a statement" (in other words, Obama is going to read the words from the telemprompter).

I will feel even more assured/secure--If Obama writes a "strongly worded letter" as well.

PLEASE resign Obama-–and find a community to organize. And, PLEASE take the worthless Napolitano, Holder, Geitner, Pelosi, Reid, etc. etc. etc. with you.
