New Years resolutions for Obama - from Karl Rove

Rove has some New Year's resolutions for Obama.
Rove has some New Year's resolutions for Obama.

(CNN) - If President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, or other members of the administration are having any trouble coming up with some New Year's resolutions for 2010, former top Bush aide Karl Rove is eager to help.

Writing in his weekly Wall Street Journal column Thursday, Rove offers a bevy of goals to the president himself, the vice president, and his top aides.

To the president - Rove says Obama needs to be more clear in what he is thinking - ensuring he doesn't leave a diverse group of people with the impression the president agrees with all of them - and must make sure to "mean what he says:"

Mr. Obama should work on his habit of leaving a room of people with deeply divided opinions thinking he agrees with all of them. That leads to disagreements over essential issues, like the meaning of his pledge to begin withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2011 and the nature of the new military mission there.

To the vice president - Rove says Biden should speak publicly less:

Every time he opens his mouth, the West Wing staff uses him to make the president look good by comparison.

To the president's staff - Rove says they should resolve to orchestrate a few less 'historic moments' and keep the president off TV more.

Why not resolve to have a few less "historic" moments? How many can one president really have, anyway? A little more grace toward his predecessor would help him, as would less TV time. He is wearing out his welcome and his speechwriters—judging by the quality of their work lately.

To White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers - Rove says she needs to keep an eye on those guest lists:

[She] should take a lead from Santa Clause and make her list and check it twice . . . at the White House gates.

New Year's Resolution for Karl Rove: Stop concern-trolling other people's lives when you can't even run your own.

The nerve of this ... piece of work.

New Year's resolution for Karl Rove: Mind your own business, keep your mouth shut, and stop criticising the President. You people lost the last election; get over it. Leave Obama alone to govern. My fear is that now that he no longer has a wfie –suprise, surprise, I never pictured this man married to a woman!– he will have more time to be a nuisance.

Really! Who cares what Karl Rove thinks. Doesn't he know it's time for him to go away.

Here's a New Year's Resolution for Karl Rove. Stop telling us what Obama thinks or what anybody else thinks for that matter. We can listen to the President when we want to know what he thinks. We can listen to the people who are actively engaged trying to solve the problems in this country, to find out what they think. We don't need a translator...a very, very bad translator at that.

I don't have to read the article and I already know what it says. Karl Rove wishes the president ill because he just can't understand President Obama. The nerve of any president wanting to serve the people and not themselves. Yes, I know Karl doesn't understand anyone or any concept that doesn't involve greed, selfishness and dictatorship. He wants the president to be just like the George Bush puppet we had for 8 long, evil years.

Well Karl, it's a new day. The people have spoken and we are sick of you and the Bush legacy of corruption and deceitfulness. America has turned a corner and we will never go back to the torture and lies you and your cronnies love.

Save the drama for your momma, we aren't buying your lies.

Because shouldn't our President get his new year's resolutions from someone that can't maintain a marriage much less a country?

Carl Rove should not be giving anyone advice especially a president. After giving advice to a past president it is pure luck that whole administration hasn't been sent to Iraq to look for wmd. He has given enough bad advice and the world is better off if he is never heard from again.

New resolution for Karl Rove – Just shut your mouth for the rest of the year 2010 and use the silence to contemplate on the reasons as to why your wife divorced you.

I dig President Obama, and I'm not a Karl Rove fan politically, but this was constructive advice. It is nice to see someone from the previous admin be more lighthearted and not so "Dick Cheney".

Here are some things you could learn from Obama
    1. Work on your marriage and be a good husband and father, oops to late, divorce is pending.
    2. Obama is in great shape and very healthy, lose a little weight and feel better all around.
    3. Getting people with divided opinions to both agree with him is his job. Bush doing whatever he wanted no matter what anyone thought was not a good thing.
    4. I actually agree with you on the historic moments things, not everything needs to be built up.
    5. Check your ego, no one cares what you have to say and you are lucky you are not is prison right now. I don't understand how an administration that left with two wars and a collapsed economy can be so critical of this administration.

And I should care what Rove says for what reason again?

The sun is coming out, doesn't Rove need to crawl back under his slimy rock?
