New Years resolutions for Obama - from Karl Rove

Rove has some New Year's resolutions for Obama.
Rove has some New Year's resolutions for Obama.

(CNN) - If President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, or other members of the administration are having any trouble coming up with some New Year's resolutions for 2010, former top Bush aide Karl Rove is eager to help.

Writing in his weekly Wall Street Journal column Thursday, Rove offers a bevy of goals to the president himself, the vice president, and his top aides.

To the president - Rove says Obama needs to be more clear in what he is thinking - ensuring he doesn't leave a diverse group of people with the impression the president agrees with all of them - and must make sure to "mean what he says:"

Mr. Obama should work on his habit of leaving a room of people with deeply divided opinions thinking he agrees with all of them. That leads to disagreements over essential issues, like the meaning of his pledge to begin withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2011 and the nature of the new military mission there.

To the vice president - Rove says Biden should speak publicly less:

Every time he opens his mouth, the West Wing staff uses him to make the president look good by comparison.

To the president's staff - Rove says they should resolve to orchestrate a few less 'historic moments' and keep the president off TV more.

Why not resolve to have a few less "historic" moments? How many can one president really have, anyway? A little more grace toward his predecessor would help him, as would less TV time. He is wearing out his welcome and his speechwriters—judging by the quality of their work lately.

To White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers - Rove says she needs to keep an eye on those guest lists:

[She] should take a lead from Santa Clause and make her list and check it twice . . . at the White House gates.

Could we please put Rove and Cheney on a spaceship and blast them into outer space? This would be my holiday wish come true!

It certainly is embarrassing to be from the same species as these dorks. Thank God I'm not related!

ROVE can't keep his wife, and is advising the President what a joke

It is ironic that one of the people responsible for the economic mess we are in, and the disaster in Iraq should open his moutrh just to put his foot into it. Rove needs to sit down, shut up, and stop trying to screw up this country any more than what he has managed to do when we had an idiot in the White House who followed his messed up advice. If it were up to me, Rove and Dick Chenney would be put on trial for trying to shread the Constitution.

I hate Karl Rove, but this actually seems like good advice. I quite surprised actually. I'm a big Obama supporter, but no president is perfect. Constructive criticism is a good thing.

Karl Rove belongs in jail with Bush and Cheyney for war crimes. He is in no position to be giving advice to the President.

Karl Rove giving advice? That's a joke. He's irrelevant. The President should do the opposite of whatever comes out of Rove's pie-hole. Shouldn't Rove be by the bedside of his lover, Rush Limbaugh, instead of grabbing headlines?

Karl Rove was, is and always will be known as "Bush's Brain." The legacy he left was a bankrupt economy, two unnecessay wars in a quest for oil not terrorists, and a big dumy doofus sitting at his TexASS ranch named Jarge Duh-Huh?-Bu'-yuh Bahoooooosh, who still thinks he called all the shots. Karl Rove was just granted a divorce from his wife, which was a good call on her part. I mean, who would want to be remembered as the wife of Karl Rove? Karl needs to stop giving advice to President Obama because everything Rove says is designed to kill the middle-class and run over babies with tanks in foreign countries. Just look at his ugly fat head mug shot here would you? He actually looks like the way he thinks – a big fat headed pig, who would sell out his own mother to further the cause of the Nazi right wingers. America cannot afford another fake president like Jarge Bush, who did exactly what his handler, Karl Rove told him to do. Rove knew Bush did not have the intellectual capacity to govern anything bigger than a liquor store, but he knew he could manage Bush's Brain like a Nintendo game in order to conquer other dirt poor countries in the name of patriotism. Is Rove even qualified to write for the Wall Street Journal? Afterall, look at the mess he helped create – the Great Recession! Why does the Wall Street Journal even want Rove's name associated with their newspaper? Because Rove, like Jarge, Rummy Rumsfeld and DickHead Kaching$$$$$-Haliburton Cheney want the U.S. to stay in a perpetual war against countries who control the vast deposits of oil, so that we can maintain the war machine forever. Thank God Obama and the Dems are in power! After Obama wins the next election by a landslide and serves his second term, America will be once again pointed in the right direction away from greed, corruption and the lust for power over the middle-class. In Jesus name. Happy New Year GOP (Greedy Obstacle Party)!

Hasn't Rove caused enough damage? Perhaps the recently divorced (again) defender of traditional marriage is trying to distract attention from his recent hypocrisy. Why is anyone taking this guy seriously?

The terms idiot and moron come to mind when I think of Rove. This guy helped mess up the country and failed in his own marriage. The President or anyone else needs his advice? Not very likely.

Be more clear about what he is thinking? This from a guy that masterminded the Bush administration deceptions? Shoot most of the time nobody could figure out what Bush was even trying to say.

Instead of being a political hack writer for the WSJ, Rove should be in a prison cell for crmies against humanity.

Given the fact that Karl Rove is just finalizing his divorce, I think he would do well to concentrate on his personal life, and let the President run the country that his former boss (and co-horts) screwed up.

That is my New Year's resolution for Karl Rove!

From someone like Rove, who has never spoken the truth and never behaved honorably, nobody needs to take any advice. However Rove, Cheney and the rest of that crowed should take advice for a New Year’s resolution: Shut up since you have only lies, hate, and your old plans to spread.

Why does anyone give this hate-filled gas bag column space anymore? Oh that's right, the wall Street Journal who won't be editorially happy until we bring back the good old days of unquestionable corporate power and child labor

Porky Pig Rove is a treasonous criminal. He helped out a CIA Operative for political revenge.

He should be rendered for biodiesel.

Fringe left bile will surely appear shortly telling Rove that he should be in jail, or blaming Bush for this or that.

However, Obama is undoubtably one of the weakest presidents in US history and, thus far, has shown no sign that he understands either geopolitics or economics.

The Obama presidency has so far been nothing more than a huge ego-trip for a man will no real experience to speak of; and this shows in the global responses to Obama's naive "efforts" to exert any influence whatsoever.

Makes sense: Ignore the most effective means of mass communication the world has ever known. Maybe he could tweet his thoughts to the American public. That way we wouldn't have to miss any of American Idol. BTW, I don't thing Santa spells his name that way in US English.
