Obama promises justice for Christmas terror plotters

(CNN) – President Obama pledged Saturday that the United States will hold accountable all of the individuals involved in the failed Christmas Day terrorist attack aboard a U.S.-bound jetliner.

He also highlighted his administration's attempts to crack down on extremist enclaves in Yemen and reiterated his longstanding promise to "disrupt, dismantle and defeat" al Qaeda.

"All those involved in the attempted act of terrorism on Christmas must know you, too, will be held to account," Obama said in his weekly address.

"Our nation is at war against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred, and ... we will do whatever it takes to defeat them and defend our country."

I will wait and see if IObie is as good as Bush. We have been safe for 8 years . . . and now things are happening with Obie in charge . . . I believe it shows he is known worldwide for his weakness.

Once again with all the problems facing America, this illegally elected president can find time to go on vacation and go on tv.

More political promises . . . I hope it will be different this time . . . however Obama actions so far show he is not a leader.

"Obama vows to keep America safe".......seems to me Obama vowed to keep America safe during his campaigning yet we're less safe now then we were before Obama took office. With that, "if I don't touch it I don't own it" attitude and blaming Bush instead of doing the job a President should be doing to protect us, this administration has put us all in a very unsafe world.

So long as it doesn't interfere with one of his holidays. But thanks for talking to us three days after the attempt.

Seriously, you people who got on bush for, what was it, 8 minutes, which is an incredibly short time, while his team was mobilizing, what is your excuse for Obama's 3 days?

What is he going to do? Put them on People's Court? Make sure they are read all their Miranda rights? Better yet, he should bake them a cake and see if they give up critical information.
