(CNN) – South Carolina First Lady Jenny Sanford's memoir, "Staying True," has been fast-tracked and will now hit bookstores on February 5 instead of the original April release date.

Sanford's publisher, Ballantine Books, announced the new date on Tuesday.

Sanford landed the book deal in September, just a few months after her husband, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, admitted to an affair with an Argentine woman. In December, Sanford released a statement saying she is filing for divorce "after many unsuccessful efforts at reconciliation."

According to a synopsis of the book on the publisher's Web site, her memoir "reveals the private ordeal behind her very public betrayal - and offers inspiration for anyone struggling to keep faith during life's most trying times."

"She chose to let Mark Sanford deal with the embarrassment and political fallout from his own actions while focusing her own efforts privately on raising their children to be men of character, even in the face of the lies their father has told," the synopsis reads.

Her hubby is a GREAT man. He talks alot about morals. He's like all of us republicans, we know how to TALK about morals and family values. We OWN family values and morals. We aren't like the democrats, who actually LIVE by them!

What has this world come to? Why can't she just let it die and spare her kids further embarrassment? Does she need the money? She was to be admired, until now....

Only in America where if your husband cheated on you, you write a book and make a fortune.. I guess this is some what considered compensation.

Jenny is old, forgotten news already. The world have moved on since this Sanford soap opera.

What a waste of paper, this book will be.

I guess her "private ordeal" will not be so private after the book is released. Why write a book? Surely she doesn't need the cash. Think of your kids before your pocketbook or sense of justice!!!

Everyone trying to sell a book. Wash your dirty laundry in private.

Why is this woman airing her dirty laundry? Is she trying to be another Sarah Palin? Speaking of which, why is it so hard to post on this ticker anything positive about S.P.? If half the country loves her and half hates her, wouldn't half the posts be positive? Smells funny here, guys.

I guess one has to find some way to make a living after Mark! People love to read the dirt instead of focusing on how we can possibly solve our immense problems. But then again solving our problems is not what this world is really about at this time! I won't buy it, but I wish all involved well.

You know, I think Mark Sanford has embarrassed his family enough...if Jenny Sanford wants to be the heroine in all this, she should put her kids' feelings first and not air her family's dirty laundry still further. Great "family values" there!

I believe her book will inspire other women who have gone through this. The American Dreams allows her to write this book! Quit complaining critics and get a life! Go Jenny Sanford, I will read your book. God bless you.

From what I understand, Jenny knew about the affair for quit some time. Only after it became public did she do anything about it.

She's got to get her book out before their 15 minutes of fame runs out but it won't be at the top of my shopping list.

I wonder if South Carolina is a community property state where her husband can claim a share of the profits. If so the only people who suffer are their kids and the fools that buy the book.

This is a simple case of revenge...he humiliated her publicly and dramatically and now she is returning the favor and making a fortune in the process. Only in America!! :))

Jenny Sanford's book will become a best seller because she represents a break from the narrative of spurned political wives who meekly stood beside their lying, hypocritical, morally bankrupt husbands.

She handled herself with dignity and class, and managed to make Sanford look like a oser and pitiful sod in the midst of a mid-life crises.

    Now that's going rogue!

Thank you Congressman Paul. Dick Chaney is in no position to point fingers. He and his cohorts are directly responsible for the mess we are in now. To blame the current president for the this "so call war slogan" is really getting old fast. If he knew so much or could do as much as his comments have indicated...HE WOULD get off his broke behind and help solve the issues we are facing as a nation. This is not fair to the current administration or the American people. Whether you like it or not, President Obama is your president too, so give him the respect as such. It does not matter whether you are a Democrate or Republican. I'm a Republican! You left this country in a mess and you call this patroitism. DO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY A FAVOR... KEEP YOUR MOUTH CLOSE!

A woman to admire. I can't begin to imagine the pain and humiliation she had to work through. I'm sure her children helped get her through the hard times. RAISE THEM STRONG JENNY.

It is shocking to hear the right wing nuts now criticize and go after a victim of the governor of the most corrupt state in the union. Family values do not apply to wing nuts. South Carolina, you can do better than these worthless politicians.

Mrs Sanford could have used some golf swing lessons, and which club to use for maximum damage, but she chose the book which is the proper way to go. A good lesson for the kids.
